Why is he kind of famous for being mid?

He snowboards all the time, why isn't he better at it?

Why do people like watching a mid guy yap while failing to 50-50 a box?

I went to the resort during a vacation week on a Saturday and it was so busy and I'm so upset about it.

It's pretty much the same post that y'all make but man it's entertaining. Honestly amazing that some of you can make it to the resort with the lack of common sense so many of you seem to lack, but keep at it. Give me and my buddies something to laugh at while riding past y'all.

I’m looking at buying a new board for the upcoming season and am leaning going volume shifted. As a baseline I am 5’8” 170 lbs and currently ride a Burton Flight Attendant 156, Rossignol Resurgence 152, and a SIMS UAP 159. Last season’s stats were 32 days and 490 kft of vert.

I like to bomb groomers, ride the pow when it’s available, but also like to play in the glades. Home mountain is a tiny hill in Pennsylvania where my kids are on the ski team but we travel often (VT, CO, and Whistler trips already booked for upcoming season) so I choose my set up based on conditions.

The Ride Superpig 148/151 (leaning 148) is speaking to me. Does this round out my quiver or should I be looking at other options? What should I know about volume shifted boards or the Superpig before making the jump?

I’m a poster, in my late 30s and ride all the time with my prime years not so far behind me, but plenty of excellent years left. Why the fuck does everyone in here seem to have the amount of boards that suit their lifestyle and budget? Is it because some people find enjoyment from collecting gear, while others only care about time on the mountain? Is it because some people are casual riders and others board 100 days a season?

Not to be that guy, but when I am riding, I want to enjoy my time in the sidecountry, groomers, trees & park. Its always fine with whatever board I have, but I understand that not everyone is me. The only gripe would be not being able to ride as much as I'd like, which makes exactly 100% of me upset, and 0% of me works harder anyway.

Just wanted to share this morning's crazy roadside freebie. Needs a good cleaning and the bindings are completely destroyed but whatever I'm gonna clean it up and try to rip this thing. It honestly looks like a blast to ride. I'm more of a skier than a rider tbh so I have no clue but i really hope this works out because 🤙 is this a terrible idea? I can literally rent boards from the mountain I work at for free and don't ride that much but my kid does and I will occasionally trade in the skis to ride with him. this board will be an East Coast ripper if that matters and I won't be pushing it hard. Am I dumb?

Is anyone else sick of the “no helmet no style” or “no helmet no upvote” comments everywhere? If someone wants to wear a helmet, great! If someone doesn’t want to wear a helmet, get the f over it! It’s their body, their choice

BTW, I’ve been wearing a helmet since I learned to ride in the 90s. But I don’t give a sht if someone rides without one

My wife and I just welcomed a baby daughter. She is 5 weeks old today.

I love snowboarding and my wife skis.

I want my daughter to get the itch and get good when she’s young.

I was thinking of buying one of proprioceptive balance boards (with the squishy ball on the bottom), and begin to teach her balance. Naturally, she’s far young now, but I think starting at 20 seconds / day when she’s 8 weeks plus. Make it part of the tummy time ritual.

When did you teach your kids to shred ?

I’m watching some replays from the Olympics and the commentators are calling this a “slob grab” but the announcers (you can hear them in the background at the live event) are calling it a “mute grab“ what’s going on with this? The rider is grabbing the toe edge with their front hand, which AFAIK has always been a mute grab?

So I’m looking to get some awesome sauce looking clothes. I’m 6’3 and want to aim for the baggy pants, compressed top combo. Do yall know any slim, compressed “jackets” that will keep me warm, but also won’t look like I weigh 100kg more than I do lol

Basically I’m looking for very warm upper clothing, that will be as slim as possible, but ofc waterproof

In the midst of my normal day riding DBs and DBDs (that’s black diamonds and double black diamonds for those of you uninitiated or moving over from skiing) - I come across a group of 5 kids all asking where their mommy is? I’m like WTF! Who can afford that many passes? Hopefully they got a family discount or fast pack. I only came across all those turds because I got distracted taking a call from my wices BF asking he could spend the night - which of course! But nice of him to ask even though I don’t really get a say in it.

Anyone have any experience paying for groups like that? I assume at least one parent was there, probably a dad, unless the mom just left those kids on the mountain to get her boots fitted.

idk how but i still have all of my teeth, was trying to learn how to ski rails (im sorry i do both please dont kill me ) at palisades/squaw and landed directly on the rail... not fun, no broken nose but a lot of red snow, cuts and lost confidence. if anyone has any tips on how to even get the confidence to send these help would be appreciated. :0 and if anyone saw me please tell me how it looked haha.
