He did a little wobbly bobbly dance yesterday ๐
Does anyone know why he's doing this?
I think it's super cute, but I'm a little worried that there might be something wrong with him. Especially since his left eye stem (our right) seems to be a little bent.
He's been behaving normally, I've seen him out of his shell twice since then and both times, there was no wobbling, but he was eating both times, so maybe he was focused on eating or something?
Since he seems fine otherwise, I don't think it's something serious, but if anyone knows why he is doing this, I'd appreciate it.
Otherwise just enjoy his little eye dance!
Update: I just checked on him and he seems to be sleeping, but outside of his shell. He's fully out, his right eye is just the little stem, but the left eye is completely out. I'm getting maybe a little bit worried now. I know that they sometimes do this and it can be normal, but combined with the wobbling and the bent eye, I'm a little unsure...

I'd be worried too. Keep on checking on him regularly and maybe ask someone who is good with snail health. I have snails since five years and never seen this kind of fast movement

This looks like some slight damage has been done to the very end of the eye stalk. You say he is resting outside of the shell.. has he retracted at all? And if you mist him or touch him, does he retract into his shell regularly or even slightly? Resting outside of the shell during the day can sometimes be a red flag, especially for prolonged periods. A little bit of damage to one eye stalk is not detrimental or fatal usually. So continue letting him rest for now, and ensure that no heavy or hard objects are in the enclosure that could lead to further damage. If you can let me know whether he's retracted at all I might be able to offer you some more info!

Heโs just a curious little guy! They use their eye stalks to explore! Heโs just trying to see whatโs ahead of him :)

It is simply exploring its surroundings. Snails have limited vision and rely heavily on their tentacles and other sensory organs to gather information about their environment. Also, sleeping outside the shell is usually normal and shows that he feels safe in his tank, while the bent eye could be due to a minor scratch or a light muscle strain that will probably fix itself.

I don't see the icon to post a picture but maybe someone else knows how to do it or possibly making another post with the picture and that would maybe help with identifying whether there's something wrong or not. I hope he's okay and that he was just having a great time exploring, LOL
