đŸ†˜Question Reddit is fun patching no longer works

Has something changed with reddit recently that could cause this? No matter what I try, all I can get is a "forbidden" response.

I had a custom app that I created a while back that is still there, but as you can't create new ones anymore that's off the table.

UPDATE: Someone pointed out that you need to log in due some changes on the API - whilst it may not work for everyone, I can confirm rif is working again for me.

Using the updated 2.6.0 ReVanced app with default patch for RIF made it work after my custom app got blocked.

  1. Install the new ReVanced update

  2. You don't need your custom app ID from old.reddit.com preferences any longer. Just open ReVanced, click Reddit is Fun when it detects the app or browse for a freshly downloaded apk.

  3. Under "Spoof Client " settings you can see there are three options checked, including one with a default app client ID, and this worked for me.

  4. Follow the patching guide in ReVanced, install the patched app (worked for me as an Update)

  5. Sign in to RIF using your reddit credentials. An API access page will appear with an Agree button at the bottom. After clicking, RIF signs in and you're back to browsing Reddit the way it was always meant to be.

This worked! Thank you so much

But now I cant view any NSFW content !!

The 18+ option is checked, and I can view it through the web site, but on RIF its blocked

Any idea how to get our corn back?

Edit: I ended up just creating my own nsfw subreddit over at r/dunderball -- if you wanna be a mod just reply I can add you. Or just create your own.

Edit2: I am being rate limited from adding more mods to the subreddit. If you could message any of the other 23 mods in that subreddit, I'm sure someone will help you with a new add.

Edit3: It looks like the subreddit I recently created is being heavily rate limited on how many more mods can be added, as we have something like 36 mods now. I've messaged the entire set of mods to do their best to add anyone new as these new requests come along. In the end, you'll probably be better off creating your own nsfw subreddit.

I installed RedReader first to get it to add permissions to my profile, and then patched the RiF APK which spoofs RiF to look like RedReader per the default patch settings in Revanced. When I opened RiF after patching I got the 403 forbidden pop up, but then went to login and it prompted me to regrant permissions to "RedReader" and now we're back.

it's blocking NSFW, but I'm sure it's just a settings problem

For NSFW the only thing that worked for me was creating and becoming a mod of a nsfw subreddit.
