For a guy who got caught with 1.4 pounds of cocaine at one point in his life, I'd say he's doing pretty well.

I actually love Home Improvement, by the way.

"What can I say about our next two presenters? The first is an actor, producer, writer and director whose movies have grossed over $3.5bn at the box office. He's won two Academy Awards and three Golden Globes for his powerful and varied performances starring in such films as Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Castaway, Apollo 13 and Saving Private Ryan. The other is Tim Allen." edit.. link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33ozHrZRySw

Cool story about Tom Hanks.

My distant cousin wrote "The Aunt Bully." Tom Hanks' kids liked it so much that Tom Hanks had my cousin's book made into a movie. Just for his kids.

Isn't that what Scorsese did with Hugo? He made it for his granddaughter?

The 1%. Nobody turned "Lifetimes: The Beautiful Way to Explain Death to Children" into a movie for me when I was 3.

You want Tom Hanks? I'll give you Tom Hanks in a movie he probably doesn't put on his resume these days... Mazes And Monsters It's a far out movie...

Toy Story is awesome as well. They're both awesome!

One of my friends who worked for Tom Hanks' production company, Playtone, told me one day Tim Allen came in to speak to Hanks.

He said through the walls it sounded very much like Woody and Buzz having a conversation. Whenever I see Toy Story I think of that.

A little off topic, but I used to work retail in Sherman Oaks; and we would occasionally have celebrities come in to buy stuff. It wasn't a frequent occurrence but enough that it wasn't a big deal.

Out of all the customers I met, famous or not, the nicest one I ever helped was Steve Carell; and the biggest dick was Tim Allen.

TL;DR: Tim Allen is a dick

Can you give us some details on why he was a dick? I love a good ol' fashioned mean celebrity story.

Tom Hanks movies are the only movies that have ever made me cry.. Forrest Gump when Bubba died.. Green Mile when John Coffey died.. Cast Away when Wilson floated away.. Toy Story 3 at the end when Andy had to stop playing with toys and grow up.. :(

Does Buzz Lightyear remind anyone else of George Clooney? I can't get it out of my head that they look somewhat similar.

Edit: apparently so

This is mocking me, isn't it?

At first I thought "why does Tony Hawk hate Buzz?"
