You know, I think this whole Medea thing would be a lot funnier if it was an actual black woman playing the role but since it's a man, I feel as though its kinda sad and pathedic.

I'm a 23 year old black guy. I hate Tyler Perry. I could understand his movement if he had done this like 20-30 years ago... but this is 2012. Get the fuck over it.

Tyler Perry is not for you. Justin Bieber is not for you. Rebecca Black... well, she isn't for anyone, really. Reddit's main demographic are white, middle class males in their 20s. More movies and music are made for you in the United States than just about anyone else. Accept that some movies and some music will be made for people who aren't you, and don't whine about it. Just ignore them.

Sorry buddy, I don't think anyone cares enough about your opinion to stop making money...

I don't mind that he makes movies (though, I don't like them at all either). I just hate how he's got two series that play on TBS for two hours straight. I watch TBS for humor, not white guilt and stereotypes.

It won't stop so long as the blacks continue to go see it in droves.

I don't think it's a 'black' thing necessarily, although South Park did play on that excellently with Token. It's more of a religious (especially southern) thing. My mom and all of her family are all very much looking forward to this, and they're all conservative (older) white baptists.

Tyler perry is on the runaway money train & nothing is gonna stop him. He will cash in as much as he possibly can.

I sadly was forced to watch a lot of these, including the plays. They are terrible but I love what Spike Lee said about his movies. He called them, "Coonery Buffoonery." It's not racist because he's black, right?

As a young white man i plan to go see this in a local black neighborhood theater dressed in the most redneck way I can put together and laugh just a little bit longer than everyone else at the every joke. Maybe I'll get in a fight but hopefully I'll make at least one person think twice about Tyler Perry.

I agree. Out of focus photos of movie posters have no place on r/pics.
