Question (Other flairs not applicable) 2 years of service, a professional license, and Civil Service eligibility but my 9-month coworker got the promotion and higher salary

Before anyone come at me. I hope sana po mag take time to read this full context.

For context lang.
I was working for this agency for 2 years na.

Halos lahat sa office, since end of the year nga, mag eend ang contract so the agency was planning kung paano ihahandle or mag ffunction ang agency for next year.

I was offered a job for 20k. But i found out na yung isa kong co-worker was offered with higher salary but in same position as mine. Parang natapakan ang ego ko. In terms of eligibility, mas angat ako. Seniority, mas angat din ako. Pero itong co-worker ko was offered higher than mine.

Alam kong hindi ako mapapakain ng pride but this is bothering me for some time na.

Mind you, this someone is basta nalang ipinasok ngayong taon kasi may kakilala sa loob.

I am the introvert type kaya di talaga ako sanay sumipsip haha. Talo talaga ako dyan.

I was thinking of not getting the offer pero naisip ko din naman gaano kahirap ngayon.

Nagrerent pa ako plus may braces expenses pa ako. :((

Nakakapanlumo.

National ID Why they didn't just make the physical ephilid a bit more decent looking?

I actually wouldn't mind if this would be the actual National ID, just print it on a bit more better paper, more high resolution, better design and colored then laminated, it'll serve its purpose anyway, no expiration and it's free. I'd choose that rather than a PVC card that will probably never arrive. lol

SSS Salary loan approved September but immediate resignation in November

Hi guys

Baka may idea kayo ano possible mangyari

Im under Cognizant (bpo) and nagapply ako salary loan sa SSS nung september

I got a new job opportunity in DOH tas I will be doing an immediate resignation kasi I need to start by Nov

For the record, di pa nadededuct ng kahit isang amortization kasi first deduction sana is Nov...

National ID guys helpppp

nag dl ako govph para makita digital national ID niya, sabi kasi sa tutorial e dun na agad diretso unlike before na may site pa.

may account na and all but need pa iverify mismong account after nun, and para maverify siya completely need mag submit ng isang valid ID.

ang problem po is wala ni isang valid ID yung bf ko, even licence ID. kaya nga po vineverify namin account niya para makuha yung national and makakuha siya ng first motor niyaaaa. kaso sofer hirap, may alam ba kayo other way paano maverify yung govph or may site pa din kayong alam para makita national id?

Question (Other flairs not applicable) BPO to Government

Has anyone transitioned from bpo or private company to government in their 30s? I am already 35 so I am really hesitant . But at this point I am already tired of job hopping and just want stability and security in job.

Context: I am a CPA. With 10 years of work experience. Just got out of a toxic job. Questions:

- What are the pros and cons of moving from private company to government?

- is it worth it?

- what is your specific government agency? And how is your experience?

- What qualifications did you acquire to qualify?

I am thinking of BIR, COA, BSP. But I am not sure if the environment in these agencies is okay. I am not moving to government immediately, but maybe 5 years from now. I just keep wondering if it will be worth it

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Study leave abroad: need a new TA for vacation?

Hi! Permanent government employee po ako sa isang SUC, currently on approved two-year (2025-2027) study leave for my master’s in Belgium. May Authority to Travel (TA) na ako for Belgium covering the entire study period.

Nasa Pilipinas ako ngayon for thesis. Before returning to Belgium in January 2027, I’m planning a vacation to Vietnam this December 2026.

Dito ako unsure: Should I request a new Authority to Travel from my agency specifically for my trip to Vietnam?

I already asked BI, pero ang response nila is subject to the final assessment of the inspecting Immigration Officer.

May naka-experience na po ba ng similar situation—studying abroad while still employed sa government, then taking a personal trip from the Philippines? Did you secure a separate TA, and ano pong documents ang hinanap sa immigration?

Would appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you!

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Engr in a private company to DPWH: is it worth it?

Just passed the board exam last March then nagsimula agad ako sa isang construction firm so I've been there for 6 months already. As the title says worth it ba talaga i-pursue ang DPWH in the long run? what should I expect there maliban sa pagiging kurap? Need ur advice.

Edit: Palagi kaming OTTY fixed sahod
