The ofrenda I made to welcome King Liās spirit home.
I just used what I had. In place of marigold flowers I used orange treats. Are you lighting a candle for your fur babies tonight?

Rest easy, my beautiful Lacy. You took a piece of my heart with you on 10/14, but thank you for filling the rest of it with a lifetime of love. Until we meet again at the bridge, sweet girl.

Welcome Wink!
galleryWe just adopted this baby Pekingese a few days ago. Sheās is a loveable, spunky, yet well adjusted dog at only 11 weeks. We are Shih Tzu owners so pekes are new to us. She will be losing her eye in a month due to previous injury as a young baby, and is completely blind in that eye. Nonetheless, sheās a beautiful resilient pup. We love her so much already! If thereās any pekes-specific tips you have feel free to share. Otherwise, happy to have joined your community!ā¤ļø

Pixel update #2
After a particularly rough surgery, Pixel had a really rough start to recovery. Lots of pain. Shaking, hiding, panting like CRAZY. Nobody was sleeping because she was just so restless. You could tell she was exhausted but couldnāt get comfortable. 5 days after surgery, we took her back to the vet just to make sure that nothing else was wrong because she just didnāt seem to be getting any better as far as pain. Still just so miserable. He gave us different pain meds and the first day and a half or so- they seemed to do the trick! I was so relieved that she was getting some relief and was finally on the road to recovery. The evening of the second day on the new meds she got agitated again. And started hiding in more secluded spots. She was getting into closets and barking at the doors of closed closets wanting me to open them so she could go inside. She was panting so hard that she was stressing ME out. I texted the 24 hour vet line and tried to get some advice. Finally after rocking her in the rocking chair and stroking her fur, she chilled out and we were able to go to bed. About an hour later I wake up to her literally hovered over my head staring at me just panting and she had put a small stuffed dog toy on my chest. I thought she was wanting to play. But it was 3am. I decided Iām not going to sleep if I donāt play a little bit. I tried throwing her toy. She just looked at me crazy and slowly went to go get it and laid it gently down just out of my reach. So I thought maybe she wanted to play tug. Nope not that either. She finally got annoyed with me and laid back down. Next day I wake up covered in various dog toys. It was the oddest thing. That morning she laid in the middle of the toys just whining at me. I gently rolled her over to make sure her incision was doing ok. And while the incision looked great, she looked a little more swollen to me. I called the vet and while I was waiting for a return call this dog was digging in closets, digging under the bed, moving her toys around. I finally get to talk to the vet and he paused and asked me if it was her stomach that was swollen or her mammary glands. I checked and sure enough, it was the mammary glands. The digging is ānestingā, the toys are her āpuppiesā and poor Pixel is experiencing a pseudopregnancy. Apparently it can happen when spaying older dogs because it can caused a surge in hormones. This dog cannot catch a break with this spay. Sheās never going to want to speak to our amazing vet ever again š. Anyways she currently laying with her ālitterā which consists of: a crinkle toy elephant, a small rope, a small lamb-chop plush, a small squeaky star plush, and a squeaky mummy toy. She is a wonderful mother.

Biscuit is acting weird
I have a pekingese, her name is biscuit.
We currently have a heatwave going on atm. It is 32ā°C right now
My mom shaved her last week, but she shaved her really short. Today is extremely hot, but hasnt been so hot as the last few days.
Today i went to drop of my partner at a bus. When i got back, she was okay. I went to lay on the bed, where she joined me, but later got off and went outside(my sister and ger boyfriend went to smoke and she likes going with). She came back about 30 minutes ago..
She was shaking, so i thought she was getting cold(shes been shaking at night when its starting to get colder obviously since her shave). I did put her under a blanket, but then she started panting. I opened her up and went outside to smoke. While outside, she wanted to sit on my lap, i picked her up(shes 8yrs old and have problems with her joints) and put her on my lap. She was extremely clingy and didnt even want to sit still(she never did this before(picture)
I obviously asked google and google said it can be the heat that caused a heatstroke. I know AI isnt the best thing to ask, so i thought to check on reddit.
She is still eating, drinking and walking around
Shes a bit less clingy now
She isnt panting as much as earlier, nor shaking as bad.
I did take a cloth and wiped her with some cold water so that she doesnt get as hot. I stay in a third world country and im quite far from town. All the drs are closed now
If it is heatstroke, what do i do! I just want to be prepared for if it does happen
