I put up another shelf today :D so im posting my updated omnibus collection + my other books. Yes I really like spider-man and batman, lol.

I also have batman the golden age vol 1-3, gotham central, and some nightwing omnis tucked away in a comic box

I'm looking for recommendations on what to get next? I have the bronze age batman omnibus on the way and I'm planning on picking up ultimate spider-man when its restocked. But im looking for more suggestions? Any recommendations are welcome. Preferably stuff thats in print, or coming soon

After 2 years I finally received the Terminator OHC I backed on Backerkit. The volumes are about the size of an Absolute and I sprung for the metal slipcase, so it is pretty hefty when all three volumes are inside. Im very impressed and hopefully these make it to retail for anyone that wants them.

So proud of my collection just wish I had more time to read and a better shelf. Currently reading daredevil man with no fear omnibus vol 1 by Brian Micheal Bendis and Jessica jones Alias by Brian Micheal bendis.

I think I have everything in the right order

Just wanted to see what peeps in this community are reading atm, feel free to throw in ratings and recommendations!

I’m currently juggling Aquaman by Geoff John’s, Green Lantern vol 1 also by Geoff Johns and the batwoman omni. I’m really enjoying all 3 books. GL has been such a fun read, especially the first few hundred pages where the corps is being restored. Aquaman has also been really good this is my first Aquaman comic and I love how Stoic and cool Arthur is. After reading the batwoman elegy compact I knew I had to get the upcoming Omni and it has been so peak.

I've been reading comics my entire life and generally preferred collected editions. TPBs in perticulair. They were relatively cheap and looked great on the shelf. Over the years I've been "forced" to mix formats due to TPBs not being in print, ending up with a various formats on my shelf. Consequently, I kind of accepted the fact that mixing formats was an inevitability.

However, once I started currating my collection and stopped buying books (and editions) for completion sake, I became much happier with my collection. I got rid of and sold a large part of my collection and only kept runs I truly loved (with some exceptions!). I also generally stopped buying physical editions unless I had already read the story AND loved it. (Again, some exceptions apply)

Over the last year I've fallen in love with the omnibus (and deluxe edition) format and started slowly upgrading my collection and it's been a blast!! The shelves look great, I'm loving the reading experience and I'm super satisfied with just having the stuff I love in matching formats. (Shame not everything is collected in omni or deluxe!) Rereading these books made me fall in love with them all over again. That said, recently one of the aforementioned exceptions bit me in the ass: batman the bronze age. I've been wanting to read this material for decades in a properly collected way and the omni the seemed perfect opportunity. This post is not meant to yuck anyone's yum, but this omnibus was not my thing. While there were some solid stories in there, I ended up dropping it and couldn't even return it. This has reaffirmed my rule of only buying material I have already read and loved. I generally don't fall for hyper or FOMO but this happened to be material I was interested in. Lesson learned I guess haha.

Excited for SS infinity gauntlet next week, been wanting to reread that for months!

Anyone else have any similar observations, rules or experiences?

Asking for my gf

Now if only I could’ve gotten the Uncanny X-Men event Omnis too instead of simping over UXM volume 6.

Ive loved comics my whole life but had an issue with the single issues and recently started with geoff johns GL run. I went a bit crazy and bought MORE and im so happy. Its the best way to read comics imo. All of these are from panel bound and the detective comics is the exclusive ram v panel bound edition :)

Just bought my first omnibus, cant tell how hyped i am.

Got a great deal for € 65

Got it for good price, but not seen much about it... Having read immortal hulk and building my PAD Hulk, can't get enough of the green guy

Apparently it can also stop a bullet. It’s thicker than a snicker.

While previously reported from an Edelweiss catalog scrape of otherwise hidden information, we now have confirmation on PRH.

I don't know if its just me but over the past two weeks or so when i search for something on IST I feel like I'm finding alot less results to my searches. Anyone else noticing this? Maybe they're finally removing some books that they don't have but when you order your books sit in limbo?

Hey guys so I've been collecting omnibus over the past year and have 8 omnibus and three compendiums (id have more if I had the money😭) and was wondering how i could pack them without damaging them, preferably in a box but if you have other ways let me know please.

I got a second justice league omnibuses that I already bought today for some reason.

As the title says, I am curious what everyone's thoughts are on the possibility of DC releasing compendium editions of Synder's justice league run. With how much DC has been expanding their compendium line-up, and how many of them have been Snyder's other works like his batman run, Dark Nights Metal, and Death Metal it seems pretty possible to me. I'm wanting to collect the series, and if they end up releasing a compendium set that matches with the Dark Nights Metal/Death Metal books I would love that.

As is probably obvious, I am growing impatient (but in a funny way. Otherwise I'm incredibly nonchalant and cool I swear)

This was the fourth omnibus I ever purchased and it's now the tenth omnibus that I will read. I finished Ghost Rider 2099 yesterday, which is my thinnest omnibus, and today I'm starting this which is my thickest one. I forgot how heavy this book was until I took this photo. I've read this story before digitally on my phone, but I've really been looking forward to reading it in this format.

I took advantage of Targets B2G1 and also another coupon that stacked with it to get 3-5. Volume 2 was easy to find, the hard part was finding a decent price. Volume 1 was an absolute pain in the ass to find. Hardly any listings and the couple that popped up were outrageous priced. Aye I’m understanding of OOP value and all that jazz and have paid way over sometimes but man Volume 1 had some gross priced listings. Thank you to the one listing that was reasonable 🫡🫡🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

Now comes the fun part! Reading!!
