I asked chatgpt again to write for me lol
🎄American Thanksgiving & Early Christmas Party! 🦃
Let’s get together for a cozy potluck night celebrating American Thanksgiving + Christmas! Bring a dish that you’d typically have for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or simply something you love cooking and eating. 😋
This would probably going to be the last meetup of the year. I can’t organise anymore after this one :(
📅 14 November 2026 (Saturday)
🕠 **5:30 PM – 9:**30 PM
📍 Central Auckland — exact location will be shared in the group chat
👥 Maximum 30 people
💰** $10 per person
The $10 covers the venue, catering equipment, and non-alcoholic drinks. This is a **pre-paid, non-refundable event. Once you RSVP, I’ll DM you the bank details. Payment is required before you’re added to the group chat, where all event details will be shared.
Everyone will also be responsible for helping set up tables/chairs and tidying up afterwards. 😊
🍷BYO non alcoholic drinks - alcohol free lol
🍗 What to bring:
A dish that’s good for American Thanksgiving, Christmas, or something you’d happily cook and share!
Once we reach 15 people, additional RSVPs will go onto a waitlist and I’ll contact you if a spot becomes available.
Come hungry, bring something tasty, and let’s have a warm, slightly chaotic potluck night! 😂🎄

Bought some chilli oil that I'm excited to try, but I cannot decide what to make for dins... Please give me all your ideas 🙏
Note - we have like no kitchen stuffs, somehow the kitchen box ended up in storage during the move oops. At least we have the good pans and a super sharp knife so it's not all doom and gloom.

And it surprised me
Pack of flavorless instant noodles
While they were cooking steamed bok Choy and courgette
Pork scotch fillet cooked with soy sauce , shaoxing wine and doubanjiang chilli bean paste
Quick and easy and tasted real good

One of those low inspiration nights so threw it together. Had D&D at 6pm so was rushed.

With BBQ onions, olives, cream cheese (no feta in the fridge) and chilli flakes on half, even tho the resident kid probably won’t eat it anyway 😅
And dill, cos it’s our herb of choice

MrsBeekeeper was away for a couple of days, so I had to take care of both the baking and cooking this weekend. It all seems to have been shades of beige for the most part. Delicious, but beige.
In no particular order...
Cheese scones
Porkbelly, mashed potato and cauliflower cheese
Breadmaker white bread (I'm not enough of a baker to try for a sour dough or anything else fancy)
Lamb tagine pies
Apple crumble muffins
Curry franks with shoestring fries

Weekends are for bread for a few local elders who don’t get it very often. Kids can’t get enough of it either. Coming up 5 years with my bug.

Got some pizza steels designed and made after watching the “dough guy” on YouTube.
Makes such a difference when cooking in your home oven. 6 minutes and they’re done beautifully.

Deep fried chicken knee cartilage with smoky garlic chipotle sauce (not pictured) $9.99/kg. Mum did this cos I haven’t learned to deep fry yet 🙈
Wraps with sous vide bolar beef with onions red wine just $18.99/kg
This fed three people for both lunch and dinner
