My DSi will randomly shut off while I'm playing. I couldn't catch it on video, but there also seems to be something wrong with the cartridge port.

It just shut off while sitting next to me, not being moved at all, so I don't think it's a loose battery.

Help! I've been wanting to play phantom hourglass, but my cartridge won't read/work. Is there any way to fix this? I've been trying to clean it, but I think the contacts are too worn down or something.

i bought it used of some guy and he didn’t mention that it froze every time i did that, and the gba card reader isn’t too good, i don’t have any ds games to test out tho

Help me pick out shells and color schemes.

I have two DS Lites that I’d like to fix/mod. Are the clear ExtremeRate shells just as good as their regular shells? I kind of want to mod one to have a mix of glow in the dark and clear shell parts with a clear case to go over it for extra protection. Maybe even add a black light LED to help it glow.

Where can I buy the recommend replacement battery?
What SD Card should I buy for my DS Pico?
What can I put in the GBA slot?

Hey all, been going through my old collection and noticed my Metroid Prime: Hunters has a Rumble Pak in it and a different SKU label on the back of the case. Other than that, everything else seems the same as the regular package. I can't find anything online about this bundle though, all I can find is that Metroid Prime Pinball was sold with the Rumble Pak, but no matches for the ISBN or searching specifically for MP Hunters bundled with the Rumble Pak.

Is this a rare bundle and is it worth anything more than just a regular copy and the Rumble Pak would be if purchased separately?

My original DS battery light looks like it's at a rave sometimes. I'm guessing it needs a battery replacement. Would I be correct in this guess?

Edited to add: it turned green for a bit, but when I picked it up with my left hand (pressure on the battery), it turned red. Looks like I'm ordering a battery sooner rather than later

So ive recently been trying to get back into playing some ds games after modding my 3DS and I've been having fun reliving odd gems like Dragon quest heroes rocket slime but it got me wondering. What are some other awesome nice games I might have missed in my adolescence that I'd enjoy today? Do you guys have any recommendations on some non super popular titles to play? If you're favorite is still a big name im glad to take it as maybe its not one ive played yet but I am specifically looking for niche titles that went under appreciated

After my previous post where I finally put my DS Lite back together after 10+ years of sitting in pieces, I discovered, to no great surprise, that the aftermarket battery I had in it was shot, and I'd lost the proprietary charger...

I was hesitant to go and buy yet another aftermarket battery specifically made for the console as there's just no reputable sources to buy them from. They all massively exaggerate their capacity to a comical level, and have likely been sitting on a shelf for years.

So I set out to find a generic replacement battery that would fit inside the battery compartment of the DS Lite. After measuring up the compartment and using a bit of AI help, I found that the 703048 cell will fit the best. It's a hair thicker than the stock battery, and it's not quite as wide as the compartment, but it works great!

I have a sneaking suspicion it’s a loose wire but I want to be sure first before I go digging around in the ds. It does this on a charge so I don’t think it’s the battery.

So I'm currently trying to get cases for my handhelds and for my DS' I want the cases to be coloured matched and I found a case made by Gameron which looks good but one of my requirements for handheld cases is to have some kind of storage for games or other things.

So does this Gameron lime green case have either game card slots or nets for other things.

I don’t exactly know what happened to my DS Lite shoulder button. Last week it was normal but now it sticks out a little bit and I can’t press it. I tried pushing it back down or moving it even a little but it’s completely stuck and sticks out way more than usual. I just had it in my pocket but I do that all the time and can’t explain how it ended up like this.

Thoughts?
