That's not milk Was wearing this tshirt when I picked up my 4th grade son from elementary school. Principal pulled me aside and said it's inappropriate. "It implies violence and destruction." and said I should exercise more caution when choosing what I wear to an elementary school.

That's not milk My wife sent this to me a hour into her trip with her family.
Her sister in the back couldn't see it, but heard a shift and said "I think something tipped"
Pulling into a parking lot bumped it even more and this was the result...
They still have 3 hours of driving to do

That's not milk DoorDash replaced PlanB with a pregnancy test
A few years ago, when DoorDash first started offering grocery/convenience store deliveries, I ordered Plan B because I was too embarrassed/ ashamed to go buy it myself.
Since it was a “new” feature there wasn’t really an option to select replacements or cancel individual items if something was out of stock. It was pretty much up to the Dasher to figure out a substitution.
My Dasher decided the best “replacement” for Plan B was a pregnancy test.
For anyone wondering, no, I wasn’t pregnant. But I still think about how unhelpful that substitution was.

That's not milk Took a pottery class. Studio insisted on glazing themselves. This is how my work turned out.
Yes, I know it looks like…
To clarify - the studio policy denies students to glaze their own work. It’s not the norm so I have no clue why. Don’t even get me started on the fact that they made the whole class vote on ONE glaze color for everyone’s work
This cost me $225 (4 week class)
They didn’t say anything to me when I went to pick my pieces up. They were just sitting in a box with everyone else’s
UPDATE: these comments helped me feel less like a Karen so I just emailed them asking what happened and how they can make it right. Will keep y’all posted if they respond!
Update v2: email response in comments. They did the right thing of apologizing & refunding. I wish people didn’t write those bad reviews.
I don’t want to tank their small business so I’m not posting any bad reviews on Google/yelp/etc until they respond to my emailed complaint. I want to give them a chance to make it right.
Please don’t leave them bad reviews on my behalf

That's not milk Just gave birth and the hospital said they will charge me for medication that I BROUGHT.
I informed the nurse that I have albuterol and prenatals with me and she said that if I were to take them, they’d have to be checked into the hospital, given back to me, and they’d charge me for “administering my medication”.
Hospitals are a joke smh

That's not milk This car always takes the extra charging plug and locks it in their hood
Not sure why they do this. Maybe they think their car will charge faster?

That's not milk First colonoscopy at the VA tomorrow.
Was all fine and dandy to do all the prep until I took my first sip of this. Why couldn’t they at least make it palatable? It’s so gross and hard to keep down.
ETA: funny how my #1 post of all time is about forced diarrhea. Thanks for all to the tips and horror stories. I came out ok, cut off 5 polyps so I get go to back in 3 years for another round.

That's not milk We ordered some furniture months ago. Us lazy pigs avoided assembling it for months. We cancelled all the plans for today to assemble it, just to find out it was already assembled

That's not milk My kitchen scale has an 'ml to gr' button that does absolutely nothing
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Apparently this feature is supposed show you how much ml of water or milk that makes up but since both have (almost) 1:1 ratio to grams the button is practically useless.

That's not milk The entree I was served at a banquet
I have a dairy allergy and selected a dairy-free meal for a banquet. I know I shouldn't complain because I can't afford to be picky, but I didn't expect just a pile of rice mixed with kale. The other entrees had a protein, a starch, and a vegetable, plus a salad and dessert.

That's not milk Someone has been dumping birdseed outside these apartments at 4 AM for the past two years.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The "Mystery Man" feeding birdseed at night and pre-dawn hours is known as the "Birdman of Burwood," a masked individual who has been captured on camera performing covert 4:00 AM seed-dropping raids.
For two years, this hooded figure has arrived quietly at pre-dawn hours with buckets of birdseed, dumping them outside apartment complexes before vanishing. The routine leaves residents awake and fuming as large flocks of birds descend at sunrise, creating extreme noise and mess.

That's not milk Husband's "necessary only" grocery shopping
My husband decided to order groceries yesterday because today is a holiday. He was ordering it very happy and told me: "see? when we order from home, we buy only the necessary and don't spend money with other stuff" when the groceries arrived, he had bought a case of coke zero, a case of monster and meat 😭 No eggs, no bread, no milk 😅 at least I had two slices of stale bread for breakfast.

That's not milk My mom unintentionally poisoned half our family with cyanide.
We recently took a trip to central Europe. One day our tour guide mentioned that growing up, they would take the seeds out of the pits of apricots, roast them, and eat them. My mom decided she wanted to try them. The tour guide told her about a local store where she might find them.
Today, a few weeks after the trip the family got together for brunch. I was in the middle of cooking sausage when my mom got out the apricot seeds for us to try. My mom passed out the seeds, which looked like small almonds, to my grandma, sister, my SO, and myself. We all ate them.
They were quite bitter but had a slightly sweet amaretto like after taste. My SO and grandma didn’t like them and spit them out. My sister and I ate five or six and my mom ate around ten. My mouth started to go numb. My mom’s sinuses cleared out like you were eating wasabi. Only then did we decide to translate the packaging.
“Warning: Contains cyanic acid. …Not for Consumption.”
We kind of laughed it off at first, but began googling. That was not helpful to our mental state. The Google results said we definitely should not be eating these seeds. One result said eating more than three was dangerous.
I’m trying to stay calm while flipping sausage links, “We should call poison control.” My mom is in full panic mode thinking she just poisoned us and is in the bathroom trying to induce vomiting. We get poison control on the phone and explain the situation. The person who answered took some initial information from us and then put us on hold while they got more info. That was about the longest five minute hold I’ve ever experienced.
When the person comes back on the line they tell us that the amount we ingested is likely not dangerous. They take all of our names, ages, weights, and quantities we ingested. They say that if we start to experience any symptoms like lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, or fever in the next eight hours to call them back.
Now, a little reassured, we attempt to eat our brunch. I was feeling pretty anxious and had lost my appetite. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon making cyanide jokes while questioning every little odd feeling in our bodies.
None of us experienced any symptoms. At the time of writing this it’s been exactly 12 hours since we ate them. So I think we’re in the clear.
I don’t actually blame my mom. And I’m a little confused why the tour guide didn’t mention that these things were poisonous. Apparently, some people use them as alternative medicine believing the cyanide will kill cancer. But he made them sound like a fun little snack.
TLDR; My mom bought and fed us apricot seeds thinking they were a fun snack. Turns out they contain cyanide. We’re fine, probably.
