About six months ago, a good friend from the explosives department at the mining company I work for gave me a Leatherman MUT. That was my first Leatherman and how I discovered the brand. Well, one thing led to another!
Here’s my collection, from left to right:
Surge: My go to for home repairs, DIY, electromechanical projects, and 3D printing. The bit kit and ratchet driver make it even more useful.
ARC: This one is a backup for another ARC I use as my daily work EDC at the mine. That one’s currently at the mining site.
Super Tool 300: Lives in my car, just in case.
MUT: The one that started it all! I don’t really have much practical use for it since it’s designed for more specific tasks, so it’ll probably remain a collector’s piece. Still, it has a special place as my first Leatherman and a gift.
Surge: A gift for my dad. Hopefully, he’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine
I’m not really looking to collect multitools just to keep them sitting in a drawer. I want each one to have a purpose and actually get used. The MUT might be the exception.
What was your first Leatherman?

Was fortunate enough to score this due to its owner travelling and forgot they were carrying it, handed it to my partner who used to work at the airport and said to keep it.
Still in excellent condition, awesome little multi tool

I’ve had this skeletool for a few years now and it’s my EDC. My only issue is that the pin circled in red keeps backing itself out to the point it has completely fallen out. I tried to tap it back in but it I never seems to be the trick.
Anybody else deal with this issue or know of a good solution?

New to the leatherman arc, I keep it right hand carry in my front pocket. I slide the arc to the back most area of the front pocket and keep my wallet and other things also in my right front pocket. Going in to grab my wallet one of the tools (I think it was the scissors) was loose from the multi tool and stabbed right into my pinky 's nailbed. Extremely painful! I came from a charge so I never had that issue. I was looking to the forums and saw that if I tighten the screws it could lock up the arc and prevent it from opening. Is this a usual issue or will I just have to adjust the screws with loctite? Which screws should I be tightening? I don't mind slow rolling the tools out the side as long as I can do it with one hand.

When someone forgets to price change at Walmart so you add a wave+ to the collection 😆

Finally got my wave that I paid 3 bucks at the swap meet for back from warranty and it looks stellar! Fixed all the issues now I feel like it’s considered a wave + 😂

I thought I had lost my silver Leatherman ARC, so I ended up buying the Talos version to replace it. Fast forward a few weeks, I was cleaning out my room and came across an old EDC backpack. Sure enough, there was my silver ARC sitting inside the whole time! 😂
Now that I have both, I’ve decided to make the Talos my everyday carry and keep the silver ARC for tasks around the house. Guess losing it temporarily worked out in the end! 🔥

I came home Sunday night and my fiance had packed everything up and moved out over the weekend without a word. Zero indication, cleaned out the safe of all the cash on the way out the door. Savings account is in their name. In hindsight stupid stupid move for me but I hopped online and sold some of my Leathermans.. I made nearly a grand in 2 days. Now I have breathing room. I know that's not the kinda thing that usually gets said in this room and this will probably get flagged and removed but I don't care. I love my tools and collected them but they seriously saved me when I wasn't expecting it. So these guys are an investment, I hadn't thought about it much like that before. I'd sold one or two extras here or there as I built my collection but when the chips were down and I was screwed they straight up saved my a**... Time to start building again I guess. Thanks Leatherman.

As title says, the belt clip broke and the blade tip also broke off on my Leatherman sidekick. Would this be covered under the warranty?

I do a bunch of rock climbing in Colorado and I probably camp 3 months out of the year. I’ve gotten into fly fishing as well so I spend alot of time in the river. I care alot about stuff being light weight and practical. What do yall think is the best model for me?

This isn't a huge deal, but I do think it's illustrative of some of the frustration I've seen around here. Leatherman clearanced out the Rustle on their website and Amazon, probably for maybe just under the price that it should have sold for. I happen to like this blade shape, liked the colors, do a lot of camping and cooking, and so I bought one of each color.
As the knives came over the span of a few days, I noticed that the sheaths are all pressed with a different level of retention. The black sheath, the first one I received, is almost TOO tight, which I didn't really think about bc it should loosen a bit over time. The orange sheath, however, arrived and is almost too loose - the knife can shake around and make clack-clack-clack noises, and finally, the blue-green sheath might be the goldilocks version - just right, no movement when stored and not too much pressure to remove.
The original MSRP of this knife is higher than the Arc, and yet they couldn't even get the sheath to a consistent spec.
These things are awesome for $120. I'd be very annoyed at nearly $300.
In addition to the sheaths, the "Alpine" knife arrived with glue all over it because the knife tray in the box had peeled apart and the knife had to be physically pried out of LM's premium packaging. I also got a clearance Trac, the button on the sheath had rubbed it's finish bare onto the scale of the knife in transit/before opening.
I really like Leatherman as a company and I guess my whining is just disappointment that these things cost so much and yet so much inconsistency gets by the QA/QC process.

Mine is pretty well ruined. I was taking the cover plate off the water shut off and dropped my juice.
