I had the absolute privilege and joy to find this Beckett Anime Collectors Magazine at the antique store a while back. Yes, my bones are now dust at the bottom of the well knowing that something InuYasha was relegated to an antique mall.

I figured this community would get a kick out of this magazine. It's an ​American publication, and absolutely not full of accuracies. I am sure they were doing the best they could at the time! I am obsessed with the old typefaces and the portable dvd player.

This was published right around when I watched my first episode, so it's very nostalgic for me! The fanart is just adorable. ​

When I was a kid, I saw Inuyasha on the TV and instantly fell in love, it was dubbed.

After so many years I wanted to rewatch it knowing that the dub changed a lot of things especially that it was for kids. I wanted to see what I still remembered and I decided to watch it in Japanese

I was blown away by the amazing animation and how much care was put into making it.

I am still watching and it is a blast!!

I have such love and fond memories of the anime and after recently rewatching the whole series, I would love to get the manga, as I've never read it before. Any tips or recommendations in where I could get my hands on the manga in English? Preferable from EU!

I'm not gonna lie ever since iv seen this fanart iv been wondering if it was a coincidence both Sango and Ukyo are my favorite Rumiko female characters.

And why did Inuyasha get upset too? Was it because Kikyo was looking at him with pity? Inuyasha chapter 47

I've been rewatching Kill la Kill for the second or third time, and I still had InuYasha on the brain so I started noticing that Ryuko has a really similar personality to InuYasha. Like they're almost 1:1 with exceptions of background, Ryuko being a girl, and Ryuko probably being a bit more intelligent tbh. They're so similar!

Then I noticed Mako and Kagome are similar roles in the story and fairly similar in personality. Obviously Mako is less intelligent than Kagome, but they're actually quite similar.

Next comparison is obvious, probably, but I think it's just a tad less perfect, and that's lady Satsuki and Sesshomaru. They both have very similar dynamics with Ryuko/InuYasha and even fairly similar roles in the narrative. The biggest difference is Satsuki is more motivated and high strung than Sesshomaru, ultimately, who is (comparatively) more laid back/disinterested.

I didn't notice any other great comparisons, but these are pretty good, no?

In fact, Inuyasha took the full brunt of the Wind Scar, while Sesshomaru only took a fraction of its power because Inuyasha did not want to kill him

I was looking through my old things in my grandparents’ basement and found this! I’m not sure if it’s an official design, but I got it at an anime store in the mall when I was in middle school back in 2007. I thought I’d lost it forever! I don’t really have anyone to share my excitement with, so I figured you all might appreciate it 🤗

I love the anime however I have to acknowledge that there are multiple important scenes that were cut either for agenda/gag/time that I felt were pivotal to multiple characters dynamics or development. I've seen that these changes have created a lot of misconceptions about the series and the characters from both people first watching the anime and people active in the fandom. For example, after first watching the anime one of my pet peeves about Kikyo was that she never made any preparations after Naraku sent the giant soul collector after her. I'll make another post sometime about things Sunrise added that I prefer over the manga (not including filler episodes).

This is a very old drawing, I love how funny this is. However, once the humour goes away it makes me feel so sad for his mother. It really would have devastated her if she came to know this happened to Inuyasha. She was always fearful of her son’s future, but even this a would have been out of her imagination. To the point, she would rather have her son be dead somewhere in the forest than be pinned up a tree for everyone to see.
