Hey everyone,

Here is a dry, unamplified take on the classic fiddle tune "Red Wing", played completely solo on mandolin.

No pickups, no DI, no compression or studio tricks—just the instrument in the room and straight flatpicking to keep the melody and pulse moving together without a rhythm section.

You never know which song might speak to you until you give it a listen.

So here's my invitation: take a few minutes, browse the channel, pick a title that catches your attention, and discover something new.

And if a song resonates with you, share it with someone who might appreciate it too. That's how music finds its way into the world. ❤️

If ever there was a indie folk vibe movie. It was a fantastic movie. Absolutely beautifully done, and with a new Decemberists song.

I'm building this indie folk playlist for Wellington — what essential tracks am I missing?

I've been putting together a chill set for Wellington, leaning on artists like Vance Joy, Boy & Bear, Angus & Julia Stone and Matt Corby so far — it's at 24 songs right now. Here's what I have so far:

Would love your recommendations — especially the quieter, late-night tracks you always come back to. I'll add the best suggestions.

I made an orchestral arrangement for an English folk song called "Hugh of Lincoln". It was made by recording virtual instruments. No ai used at all. I hope this song fits in with the group!
