CONTEMPORARY AMERICA This is a ton of effort, but I think it looks super cool - New England with Canada sized ridings. Colors are Wikipedia colors for the 2020 election.

Looks great! Did you find out how many national seats there would be with Canada sized ridings?

Well I just divided the 2020 census population by 100k so just over 3,300 I think (New England has around 150)

Here, take my award. I am in favor of all the high quality self-created map (especially amidst all the low effort YAPMS posts)

This could be an independent New England map too! Great to see such high quality! I wish I could award it.

Hmmmm…. The fact that there are so few Republican ridings—in Maine and New Hampshire no less—doesn’t sit right with me. What methodology did you use to determine the borders for the ridings?

My guess is Republicans in New England are just very concentrated in the few rural regions or diluted in slight-majority blue suburban districts.

Seeing as this is based on 2020 results the seats look just about right to me- Republican ridings in northern Maine with seats scattered throughout the rest of the region

Also, New England swung towards Biden pretty heavily in 2020. Clinton underperformed in the region in 2016.

Yeah the New Hampshire district around Cöos and the northwest CT seems like it should be republican

By the way, feel free to use this if you want. I made it so that it should be very easy to recolor it.
