Discussion What if the show…
Followed the book and gave us 3 separate POVs of septon eustace, mushroom, grand maester munkun. The actors act according to each bias of the narrators. Maybe we get the same scene acted in different ways, or each episode is the from the narrators POV. With others contradicting what is shown.
How do you think that would change the opinions of people of characters? How do you think viewers would react to that type of format? Would you be less divided into Team
black / green? Who do you choose to believe is telling the true story?

Book Spoilers What is your favorite S4 conspiracy theory? Spoiler
I call them conspiracy theories cause they’re so far removed from the book but in reality they’re just theories that are all honestly pretty plausible in the show at this point.

Question If you were to adapt the story of a minor or forgotten Westerosi character to the small screen, who would you choose?
The lore of Westeros is so rich that there are hundreds of obscure corners and fascinating characters whose lives could easily inspire a standalone masterpiece.
Personally, I’d give anything for a series about:
From the House of the Dragon (HOTD) era:
- Sharako Lohar: An exotic and charismatic figure from the Stepstones (Tyrosh), whose ambition, naval dominance, and role in the Dance of the Dragons would set the stage for a nautical and political adventure completely distinct from what we usually see in King's Landing.
- Alys Rivers: The "Witch of Harrenhal," a character shrouded in dark and dangerous mysticism, with prophetic visions and a towering presence during the darkest moments of the Targaryen civil war.
- Ormund Hightower: The leader of Oldtown's army. His role mobilizing the military power of the Faith and the Reach, dealing with dragons, and commanding the Green forces holds massive potential for an epic war-driven series.
From the Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire(GOT) era:
- Howland Reed: His time at the Tourney at Harrenhal, the enigmatic powers of the crannogmen, his undying loyalty to Ned Stark, and what truly transpired at the Tower of Joy. It would be pure magic and mystery.
- Jon Connington: A deeply tragic story about his devotion to Rhaegar Targaryen, the crushing weight of his exile in Essos, his time with the Golden Company, and his desperate race against time (and greyscale) to restore the dynasty alongside Aegon.
- Brienne of Tarth: Although we saw her in the main show, a miniseries strictly focused on her years as a hedge knight, her solitary journey through the Riverlands searching for the Stark girls, and the raw reality of her quest for honor in a cynical world would make for an incredible swashbuckling drama.

Show Spoilers Why didn't Daemon... Spoiler
destroy the Hightower Army? The show makes it seemt hat once Rhanerya takes the throne the war is over but Aegon is still out there so is his brother with a big ass dragon and the Hightower Army is massive and has strong funding.
So, why leave them alive? What do you think happens once Aemond shows up? Would they then not fight again?
It jsut doesn't make much sense for me at this point

Discussion Why did GRRM write Viserys to be so incompetent? Did GRRM fumble the writing on this character?
I understand GRRM loves to write flawed characters. But generally a flawed character is one who is faced with tough decisions and may choose decisions that are often bad for them or others.
Moreso, a flawed character isn’t just someone who makes bad mistakes but they have underlying traits or beliefs that drives them to those bad decisions. For example: Ned Stark believes in honor and this causes him to not play dirty politics which leads to his death.
The problem with the writing of Viserys is that his actions are irrational to the point that the plot feels too overly constructed. To the point that GRRM is writing a flaw just to have flaw, and not give any reason.
Viserys went through a succession crisis himself when he was chosen as the heir over Rhaenys (spoiler: in the book it’s Laenor as Rhaenys was excluded from voting.) You would think that someone who saw first hand how the realm was torn into crisis mode and how the realm was very anti-woman-ruler, would want to avoid that same thing as King in the future.
Even in real history, kings have always thought highly of succession and gone through great lengths (marrying multiple wives, King Henry the VIII) to not only secure a male heir, but if needed ensure that their female heir is set up to succeed politically if needed. (King Henry I and his daughter).
Viserys on the other hand chooses to re-marry and produce a male heir but decides to keep a female as his designated heir.
Given what Viserys went through, this character shouldn’t have a belief that Rhaenyra should be his heir. Or be driven to produce competing male heirs.
For GRRM to write not 1 but 2 succession crisis so close together in Targaryen history seems too convoluted and a lack of thought for what characters would be motivated by from past experience.
I think the show tries to patch this up a bit (spoiler if you haven’t read the book) by making up the whole Song of Fire and Ice passed down orally from ruler to ruler, maybe viserys feels only someone with more targaryen blood purity can know the song and that’s why he doesn’t choose Aegon as a successor to hear the song. But this is never talked about in the show or the books
For someone who knows the issues of succession first hand Viserys does nothing to alleviate it and there is no underlying belief given to us by GRRM (aside from, “well Visery would just rather be reading history books than be king,”). I would have liked to see a more thoughtful worldview as to why Viserys would come to this decision.

Question How would you rank Jaehaerys and Alysanne's children from favorite to least favorite for each parent?
Both parents had their obvious favorites, but where do you think the rest of their children would rank on Jaehaerys' and Alysanne's respective lists, from favorite to least favorite?

Discussion Cannibal’s origin theory
What if the Cannibal was the dragon of Aurion, the self proclaimed Emperor of Valyria?
Could be why the inhabitants of Dragonstone say that he’s been there since before the conquest since Aurion died in 102BC.
This however would make him older than Balerion by a couple of decades by the time of the dance and unlike Balerion, Cannibal isn’t showing any signs of super old age when people do spot him.
My personal theory is that he might be one of Balerions own hatchlings since dragons are neither male or female and he even looks abit like him being pure black with the only other colours being the eyes, with his being green instead of Balerions red.
Any other theories?

Show Spoilers Why focus so much on the Hightower Army? Spoiler
Rhaenyra had Kings Landing but massive Gold problems. Why not take the gold mines of the Lannisters first? That would solve her problems, in addition you could have even contacted the Golden Bank to ask for a credit, even put up something as Colateral if needed.
The Hightower army was basically trapped in Tumbleton with just one tiny dragon.

Discussion These 2 are probably the 2 most powerful Targaryen Kings ever, but who was more Powerful in their Prime? Aegon "The Conquer" or Jaehaerys "The Concililator". If the people of Westeros had to choose 1 to be their King who would they choose

Meme Targaryens are not fireproof
I see instances of people thinking targaryens are fire proof and using it as a reason to make fun of Aegon and yet more team black members have burned then team green.
Daemon, rhaenys, Laena and Rhaenyra all burn. In the show daemon is burned by a Flaming arrow during the crab feeder fight, Laena has Vhagar Burn her alive. In the books rhaenys corpse is found charred after Rooks rest and well we all know what happens to Rhaenyra.
