hola, hace una semana andaba haciendo unos trabajos con un amigo, lo cual andábamos en Hilux modelo 2016 de una cabina y quise pasar por una quebrada, pero no reaccioné a tiempo que fuera a estar removida la tierra de abajo y me quedé atascado, para resumir el agua entró a la cabina aproximadamente por debajo del sillón, pasé atorado como media hora hasta que me vinieron a sacar, intenté salir pero una llana había quedado elevada y la otra no, el carro no se me apagó, ah este día ya le hice limpieza por dentro, donde entró el agua, cambió de aceite
, disco de clush y el aceite de la transmisión, y ya le hice limpieza por debajo, me recomendarían ver algo más? el filtro igual está bien y Gracias a Dios no se hizo ese famoso Café con leche en el aceite, el carro lo siento raro pero me dijeron que es como desconfianza porque otros lo han probado y lo sienten normal jajaja ayuda con alguna opinión o otra revisión que hacerle

I am in Western Australia and have been looking at Hilux for a while (saving up as well tbh)

I am deciding a 2 years old GR sport (50,000km, fully equipped off road) or a brand new N90 Rogue, the price difference is about $10k (GR driveway $70k vs N90 Rogue $80k)

It is for lifestyle vehicle (occasionally off road).

Wonder anyone driven both and what would you think?

Some context, my 09 hilux sr5 (485,000km) recently had an issue where I lost acceleration (couldn’t go above 40km/hr), however this issue was quickly fixed with a new high pressure fuel line. Shortly afterwards (approx 1 week) the clacking sound started.

Skip to 13 seconds for the sound when I accelerate.

Just trying to understand what this sound could be if anyone knows?

Someone spliced a cable from the battery to the plug. I want to verify if the cable actually should be permanent power. I have a Electronic Service Manual but cant find the pinout. Cable goes from Plug to Relay. Its a 1996 VW Taro 2.4D so basicly a LN110 Hilux

Been keen on getting my first Luxy for a while now, after having owned a few other 4WDs. I love the old-school mechanical stuff for its simplicity, but I also want a bit of comfort and peace of mind when putting away long highway kilometres and going camping/fishing.

What do you think? Should I look for a 90s Hilux or go for a newer 2008-2010s model? Either way, I'm fully aware I'll have to put some work into it to make it comfortable and replace any high-wear parts.
