It's a scam. It will always be a scam. We ban accounts for scamming, so they cannot comment in the sub. So they send private messages instead.
If they offer to send it free, they may be trying to get your personal info.
Someone commenting in the thread to do such may still be a scam, but you can check their comment history and get a feel for trustworthiness, but we still absolutely recommend against it.
If you see someone else say they've had someone contact them privately, please remind them of the danger and point them to this post.
This post will remain open for comments on this topic, do not call out any user here.
If you receive a private message offering you something hit the report button ( should be a little flag ) to report it to the reddit admins.
Thanks.

I picked this up from a buy nothing group and I’m just super curious what brand this is. I’ve searched and searched and I can’t find anything with this logo. Under the lid is ‘U4-50’, but this didn’t help me find the brand.

Many years ago my MIL gifted me a vintage, simple diamond necklace with a solitaire diamond. It is my favorite piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned. I wore it on my wedding day and sleep in it. The only time it ever came off was for spray tans. I got one before we headed to a wedding and long story short, I think it was thrown away. Devastated doesn’t even cover it. I am desperately looking for a replacement but can’t find anything similar. It had a unique and beautiful chain. She’s English and I’m assuming she got it in the 80s or 90s. I truly can’t believe this is happening right now. Any and all help would be so appreciated. I’m taking a break from my sobbing to try and make some progress on a replacement.

Super long shot but I've looked a bunch online already and I can't find anything like them... he also told me he found them on the ground in the 00's so no shop info...
They're all plastic
Thick on the inside giving a padded look but it's still plastic
Frames screw on from the outside
Hinge is pretty unique and also looks detachable
No branding or markings of any kind...
Please help, he's worn these for over 18 years
I also realize it may be possible to get lenses refitted but the frames themselves are also really old and partially broken on one arm... Not dismissing it but seeing what might be able to be found information wise first.
Thank you in advance!
Update:
Uhhhhh.... I think they're knockoffs of the VERSACE MOD. 581 ??? Wild.
Second Update:
Huge bummer, found a version of the actual Versace and bought them only for the order to get cancelled cause they apparently already had sold.
Final update:
Boyfriend had a laugh over them being knockoff Versace and the comment(s) about him being in Sly Kids which cheered him up over them being broken. He agrees that he could use a better frame style though so we’re going shopping. Thanks again everyone.

Hello! My wife has always wanted to find another teddy bear exactly like the one she had when she was younger. I would love to find one but have nothing to go on except for this picture from 2010. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I've been going crazy looking for any proof this actually exists. I can't find a single image.
There was this neon blue (see slide 2 for approximate color) looking jelly/fruit spread that used to be sold at Walmart on or before 2014. It was in clear squeeze bottles similar to the image on slide 1, but I'm not entirely sure if it was also Great Value brand.
I've checked archives of the Walmart website from 2009 to 2015, but with no luck, I'm starting to think it was an in-store only item.

This might be a long shot, but I’m hoping someone can help me track down a print I saw at the Friends of the Library book sale in Gainesville, Florida, on Sunday 10/25!
I absolutely loved it but decided to wait until the sale’s half-price day to buy it. Unfortunately, when I went back, it was gone and I don’t have a picture of it. I’ve been trying to find it online ever since with no luck, and I’d really love to find another copy to give as a gift.
Here’s everything I remember:
Size: Large, vertical print, roughly 3 feet tall by 1.5 feet wide (but this is an estimate based off my memory). It could have been a smaller print sized up.
Main illustration: One large egret, heron, or possibly stork, facing left. The bird was the main focus, with a turtle/tortoise and a crab near its feet. I’m certain about those two animals.
Style: Mostly black-and-white with minimal, muted coloring. It looked like a professionally printed graphic illustration, not a photograph, watercolor, or highly detailed drawing. Lots of white space.
detail: There was a thin black rectangular border around the main illustration, but the bird’s long beak extended through the left side of the border, breaking the frame. This was one of my favorite parts of the design
Text: Large, readable poster lettering along the bottom, beneath the illustration. I vaguely remember words like “Florida” “National,” “Wildlife,” “Refuge,” or something similar, possibly with a year or date. I can’t remember the exact wording.
Possible origin: It gave me the impression of a wildlife conservation, national wildlife refuge, or possibly an arts festival poster. It could be vintage, but I don’t know its actual age.
Frame: It was in a thin red metal frame and priced at $40 at the sale, though I doubt the frame was original.
The photo attached are along the lines of what I’m looking for but NOT the exact one. That is a Lisel Ashlock image which is the closest to the composition, but it's not the actual poster. The one I’m looking for was more graphic, mostly black-and-white, and had text at the bottom.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Even suggestions for artists, poster collections, or organizations that might have produced something like this would be incredibly helpful!
Thank you!!

I'm searching for an website from the 2010s that was free-to-use, though I believe at one point required a password to access.
On the website you could load in 3D models of popular copyrighted characters up to a large number of them, you could then position them where you wanted on the 3D 'map' and on the side of the website's GUIs there were sliders to change settings like: dance speed, dance moves, character size, etc. in which you could customise the scene.
The 'map' was a 3D rendered landscape in which you could use your camera (POV) to fly around, zoom in and zoom out to get different angles of the characters dancing, the map I can remember was a grid-like disco floor with colour changing lights and music.
The website was popular around the MLG period (2015-2018), though it could be from any year since 2007+, though realistically I think it could have started earliest 2011. I remember there being Reddit threads were people would share the dance scenes as well YouTube uploads of people's dance scenes where people would share the code to their scenes/password to use the website.
I believe the site also had a twitter at the time where they would post updates, passwords and new characters they've added. There also may have been a codes section on the website where you would get a code the site's social medias posted to add custom songs and characters.

(it says to try r/tipofmytongue but it just doesnt let me post there for some reason) i heard this audio on some "scary facts" or something tiktok and thought it was cool and listened to it on loop for a while. it was an old animated show named exactly "the (name) and (the same name) show", although i cant remember what the name was. it starts out with a low acapella voice going "doooo.. doooo.." and those two notes leading up to the base note where the song actually starts with funky and silly sax snd occasional cartoony sound effects. i made a recreation with like simple instruments to show what it sounded like https://www.mediafire.com/file/3e80jvx8bpxmbzo/ScreenRecording_10-26-2026_22-51-50_1.mp4/file

I had it back when I got the 2ds xl. I recently bought one and would love if someone could find this for me

I’m quite allergic to dust and I really want a bathrobe that is 100% cotton (hypoallergenic) but feels warm and fluffy like the polyester ones, ideally for under £50

there’s an Asian man in a red T-shirt, whose meowing and he paints his face to look like a cat and it’s kind of creepy. I obviously already searched for it.
