Wish I had more time at TOTD and the surrounding areas of road, but the GTI definitely felt great around some corners especially being used to TX roads lol. Was also the “biggest” car in the friend group which is funny to think about it compared to other cars.

I already parked to the line with my mirror clearing the post by about 1”. Yet still this was how it was when I came out. Tons of empty spots everywhere. Why do people always love to get into our space 🤬😡🔥!?

Already at 1300 miles after 4 weeks car is broken in and feels better than I imagined. MQB cars have a certain charm that you’d only understand if you’ve driven one. The GTI turns my daily commute into a pleasure. Life is too short to drive boring cars.

I’ve noticed white smoke on startup but only after car is warm. 150+ degrees oil temp.

Which manufacturer did you go with? What is your long-term experience with having a replaced set? Brightness, quality, lifetime?

Just bought my first GTI (first Volkswagen also). 2017, 6 speed. Been eyeing the GTI for years, specifically the mk 7/7.5. Anything I should know going into it?

Hey everyone, I have a 2017 Mk7 GTI DSG, and I’m getting a consistent turbo rattle under light load around 2,000–4,000 RPM in gears 1–3.

The rattle is very noticeable and happens pretty consistently under these conditions. I’m wondering if it could be a loose or failing wastegate actuator arm.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be wastegate actuator play, or is there something else I should be looking into?

I used to think it was wastegate rattle until a mechanic told me it was knock. When I accelerate at first it feels like my car has no power for a second until the knocking stops then my car drives fine. It only happens once the car is warmed up. No knocking in higher rpms, no knocking on idle. Could this be an expensive issue?

I recently installed the BMP Tuning Illuminator headlights on my 2017 GTI S non lighting package but the daytime running lights stay on when the rotaty dial is set to 0. The headlights came plug and play with the wiring harness. Has anyone experienced this?

I have a 2010 GTI, my coolant was looking a bit low so I bought some Peak Violet G13 from autozone as it said Audi/VW 2010+. On my coolant reservoir I’m seeing G12 on the side. My current coolant is more of an orangey pink. Am I okay to mix Violet G13 with orangey pink G12 for a top off?

Currently APR Stage 1 ECU/TCU on my 2023 Gti 40th. Didnt really think too far ahead but now I want to go to a flex fuel tune with Uni, previously had a flex fuel tune on my mk7 and loved it. It'll be a 1500$ investment to get the ecu/flex kit and the actual flex add-on.

Im curious if anyone out there has the unitronic ECU tune paired with a APR TCU tune and if it works together. If not will probably stick with APR and be done with it, 2k for a entire tune swap is turbo money. Thanks homies!
