Have you all read it? Any parts that surprised you? Pretty much what you figured?
As a mom and just watching Jane, I always had a feeling that Daphne Returns was probably a hard episode to shoot and she talks a little bit about returning to work postpartum and all that it entails after such a major life change.
Also there were a lot of stories that I had heard before during interviews, but with some new details and Jane has a very funny way of putting things.
Anyway off I go.

When I was in my 20ās/30ās this show was a comfort blanket. Now I watch it from the perspective of a growing middle-aged guy and it resonates more than ever.
The pain of lost love, traveling cross country to rebuild your life, the incessant corporate restructuring at work, power struggles with bosses, hyper competitive coworker dynamics, aging parents, fighting for the good life.
Such a masterful show. Truly a work of art.

Rules: the character must only be in one episode. Some arguments can be made if they were in part of a two or three part episode.
For my entry, may I present to you the one, the repulsive, the unscrupulous *Blaine Sternin* Blaine had tricked money out of people in Maine using the alias "Brad Cunningham", in Louisiana as "Royce Thibideaux" and in Albuquerque, New Mexico as "Santana Del La Cruz". Some of his crimes are as followed. Faking a religious movement for Christ selling fake autographs of historical figures, such as Marie Curie and Babe Ruth stealing, knickknacks from Frasierās apartment and reselling them at a markdown. Selling Frasier a 50,000 acre kelp farm in Arizona and selling disabled license plates and much much more.

So there's a rather prevalent trend in this fandom to talk about how Niles is the real star, he's a better person than Frasier, he's the funniest member of the cast etc to the point many people say the show should have been about him but would that actually have been good?
I have my doubts. For one thing tbh, I think having a whole series revolving around him would have to make his flaws (and he does have alot of flaws) to be way more prevalent in order to create comedy and conflict which would cause lots of his fans to resent it. Or alternatively, they would have had to tone down some of his flaws (like his obsession with Daphne) to make him more palatable and we'd lose alot of what makes him funny.

I swear, the episode where Frasier gets stuck in the parking garage because he doesn't want to pay is one of my least favorite episodes of the entire series.
BRO. THIS MAN IS A MILLIONAIRE. š
You're telling me this man drives around in a whole BMW 7 Series, lives in a nice apartment, spends money on expensive things, and somehow paying a parking garage fee is where he draws the line???
At this point in the show, I just want to enjoy the last stretch of Frasier, but instead, we're wasting all this time watching him refuse to pay a parking fee. Like, COME ON, MAN. JUST PAY THE MONEY AND GO HOME!
What makes it even more frustrating is that Frasier is supposed to be an educated, successful psychiatrist. He's not some struggling guy trying to figure out how to afford groceries. He's doing extremely well financially, so why is he acting like this parking fee is going to bankrupt him?
I understand that Frasier being pretentious, stubborn, and ridiculous is part of what makes the character funny, but sometimes there's a difference between a character being hilariously cheap and a character making you want to reach through the screen and tell him to get his life together.
Maybe I'm being too harsh, and I know Frasier is a sitcom, but this episode genuinely annoys me. JUST PAY THE PARKING FEE, FRASIER!
Am I the only one who gets this frustrated watching this episode, or does anybody else think it's one of the weaker episodes of the series?

The funny thing here is that Niles actually made a factual blunder in his snobbery. The legend of Saint Ursula definitively takes place in Cologne, which is on the Rhine, but David Hyde Pierce delivered the line as "Rhone", mapping the tragic scene to entirely the wrong river.

I have a problem! Iām addicted to this show and itās been my comfort background watch for years. To the point I just go back to S1 as soon as I finish it. I think I just have watched the whole thing 8-9 times?! Maybe Iāve just grown to love the characters & despite now knowing all the jokes and drama by heart I just canāt seem to find another show like it!
Tried Gilmour Girls but it has some truly horrendous background blaring music (La La La La) & weird plot pivots I donāt relate to at all. Only other show I have been watching on repeat for years alongside Frasier is Monk but Iād love to find out if thereās anyone else like me who loves the show this much and also if there is another show in this genre thatās quite this watchable/rewatchable!
P.s. for some reason I HATE the new Frasier. Not sure why but that Freddy character is super grating to me. And thereās something off.

We had something like this growing up. Our Momās side of the family had people that we only knew of by name as Mrs Yee and her Uncle Kwong.
Of all them, Uncle Kwong always stood out, because she and her siblings and her Mom (Uncle Kwongās sister) would discuss him from time to time. There were pictures of him, but we never saw them.
In 1997, the mystery fell away when we finally got to meet Uncle Kwong, but for awhile, he was our āMaris.ā

This scene always makes me laugh uncontrollably. I would quote this phrase "You've been fired, Mom!" at least once every week.

Just though Iād share this funny misunderstadning.
I was a teenager in Finland in the nineties. Back then there was linear TV, and Frasier was a favourite show of mine. My grandma also loved Frasier, mostly because of Martin. I get that now - there were not that many sitcom characters of her age. She also loved Golden Girls.
We watched Frasier together.
Anyway. I was good at English in school, but I never knew of anything called a ātossed saladā, and always heard it as ātorsed salassā. I was embarrasingly old when I figured out what it meant.
My gran asked me what it meant back then, and I had no idea.
I am a chef. I know now, obviously.
But it grated me for YEARS that I did not understand what the lyrics meant.
Later on when I went to Uni in the UK I had an American lecturer who was the spitting image of Frasier ( super pretentious; listened to opera in his office with the door open). I loved him!

Hello,
Can someone help me out please. There is an episode in season 1 (before episode 17) where Martin first realises Niles likes Daphne and I think he rebukes him over it?
Does anyone know what that episode might be?
Thank you

So many to choose from, but I was just watching The Unnatural and realizing it has a hilarious credits scene that I didn't remember. So hoping this sub will find more hidden gems. Personally, I love the one from Moon Dance when Marty has Eddie get the banana toy using flash cards... and a dozen bananas.
