They had like the best grilled cheese of my life and I’ve been thinking about it for over a year. All of their socials have been silent for ages. Come back to us grilled cheese gods.

Northcrest Garden Apartments

Hey! I’m looking at Northcrest Garden Apartments on N Clinton and would love to hear from anyone who currently lives there or has lived there in the past!

The Google reviews seem pretty polarized, with mostly either 5-star or 1-star reviews. A lot of the negative ones seem to be about the move-out process and charges that feel kinda scammy. But honestly, every apartment I’ve lived in has had some version of that, so I’m not sure if it’s a genuine red flag or just the usual frustrated reviews. I imagine people are more likely to leave reviews when they have a bad experience, too

If you’ve moved out of Northcrest, how did it go? Did you get your security deposit back, and were the charges reasonable?

I’m also curious about the other stuff like: bugs, maintenance, parking, laundry, and the dishwasher. I’ve heard some horror stories about apartments before and just wanna make sure I’m not walking straight into one lol

If there are any other apartments nearby that you’d recommend instead, I’m open to suggestions! Thanks!

Do we have any strong opinions on the Allen County judicial elections?

I’m going to vote early this week, but I’ll probably just leave all the judge elections blank unless I have a good reason to vote for or against any of them. Drop an article if you’ve seen any good endorsements

Email was set up to report trouble intersections and areas where citizens can directly email it to FWPD. This is what community engagement looks like.

Who remembers Loaf n Ladle on Calhoun? I think about their carrot cake muffins and wonder if anyone has their recipe? All of their food was amazing. I’d love any of their recipes.

Beautiful Autumn scenic drive in/around Ft Wayne?

I drove down Maplescrest that turns into St Joe road and ends at Schwartz Rd and the trees changing from Fall were gorgeous on that road. Can somebody tell me anywhere else to find another road/drive/neighborhood lined with beauty and trees of autumn straight out of a book? Can be within Ft Wayne or around it.

Hi all,

I have been in Fort Wayne for almost 2 years, and I adopted a dog a few months ago and would love to hear everyone’s favorite pet friendly places in this area. We love the Pufferbelly Trail and Acres properties but am looking for any suggestions for parks, restaurants/cafes, etc. Anywhere super fun to take your dog!! Thank you!

How to learn to sew

I want to learn how to alter and repair my own clothes. I would love to learn from another person instead of YouTube. I searched for classes in town (library, edwards sewing center) and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know of any people or places in Fort Wayne I could learn from?

Lutheran pay

Is anybody an RN at Lutheran who would be willing to share your years of experience and what they are paying you? I have heard that they gave you anywhere from an 8-12% raise because of IU. Parkview just announced we are only getting a 4% raise, and people are pissed. This is after some people literally didn’t get paid on pay day because we switched platforms smh. I’ve been a nurse for 6 years and am making a little over $36.

VA Home Owner

Weird question. Has anyone local to Indiana given a veteran buyer their current VA home loan?

We're about to put our four bedroom house on the market and I can't remember if our rate is 5%, or 5.5%. Either way, nicer than 7%.

I looked into it and it looks like if another veteran assumes the home loan they get to keep that rate and my own VA home loan opens up for use again. My realtors seem confused about it.
