I am fostering and bottle feeding a kitten that was found behind a shopping center by a local TnR organization. I have never seen a kitten with these markings so I looked it up and ended up here. What do you think?

Meet Ahi! 🐱 I just adopted this little guy 3 days ago, and he’s about 8 weeks old. He’s mostly white with some orange on his nose, paws, and tail, and has beautiful blue eyes.
He’s already super playful, affectionate, curious, and super vocal lol
I’m really curious to hear from other flame point Siamese owners!
● What was your kitten’s personality like, and how did it change as they got older?
● Did their orange coloring become more noticeable with age?
● Are they really as vocal, affectionate, and clingy as people say?
● How do they get along with other cats?
● Anything unique, funny, or surprising about their personalities?

I also have a 5 yr old cat that Ahi is very intrigued with and wants to hangout with but my 5 yr old is very timid and threatened and hisses at him lol how do I go about this introduction? Already letting them smell each others things & see each other through a gate but my 5 yr old ain’t havin it!

Hey guys! After a little health scare that required some metro and probiotics, Bubbles (previously Frozen) is doing great! She is having fun playing with her adopted brothers and sister :).

My babies are Ragdoll brothers, both 2 years old now. Their mum sadly passed away when they were only 3 weeks old, and they were found on a farm. Ivar is the short-haired, adventurous one who loves exploring, while Ubba is a very sleepy boy who loves to snooze. They have such different little personalities.

Just kidding!! He’s the sweetest little guy ever!!

We have not yet found a new home for Doris. We also tried some rescuing organizations and each one either decided to flatly deny help or not respond after a few back and forths. In the meantime - Doris, who was down to 4.5 lbs in this journey is now at a whopping 8.8 lbs!!! And, we trusted her personality enough to start blending with Smiity (our OG). They have been doing great. Smitty is timid about it, but Doris has given him all the respect and security he needs.

Not sure what the future holds. But for now our home situation is more relaxed and accommodating for any visitors.... Still need to free up a bathroom.

UPDATE 2:

First day having our two fur babies Lucien and Luna in our home!! They both seem very relaxed and have settled in nicely. They take turn sleep in bed with us and have given me so much cuddle!! I feel so lucky we met them and brought them home with us! Check comment thread for their updates and pictures!

My husband and I made a three-hour trip today to meet a flame point male cat. I’ve always wanted a flame point cat and I also heard that male cats tend to be big lovers and cuddlebugs. Naturally, I had a whole vision of the kind of cat I wanted. 😂

He is definitely on the shy side. We got lucky when we arrived because he was sleeping in a cat tree in the little entryway between the doors to the cat room. That gave us a chance to interact with him in a quieter, smaller space. He was friendly and let us pet him, but he kept looking toward the cat room as if he wanted to go back in. So we opened the door, and off he went! 😂

I tried following him and enticing him with toys, but he wasn’t interested. Eventually, he curled up in another cat tree, and I reached in to pet him. He let me for a little while, but he eventually got uncomfortable and gave me a couple gentle bites to let me know he was done.

The thing is, this kitty reportedly hid under a couch for over a week when he first arrived at the cat café, but he’s gradually becoming more confident. I’m wondering whether he’d open up and become more affectionate in a quiet home where he’s the only cat, or whether he’d remain more independent. It’s so hard to tell from one short visit in a room full of a dozen cats and kittens, with people constantly coming in and out.

BUT THEN… a plot twist! — A female kitty decided to make her pitch to us. 😂

This girl is EXTREMELY sweet! She climbed right into my husband’s lap and stayed there, happily resting on him for a good 30 minutes. When our visit was over and we had to leave the room, she followed us to the door and then watched us through the window. 🥹❤️ Apparently, she does this with all the caregivers, too. They said she initially hid when she first arrived, but only for a day or two before becoming her affectionate self. And now she has basically submitted her adoption application herself!

So we’re TORN!

We originally came all this way for the flame point boy, which is exactly what I’d been looking for. But this little girl has the kind of affectionate, cuddly personality I’ve been hoping for in a companion. I always thought you need to let the cat choose you. And she did just that, to my husband.

Part of me feels like we should give the boy a chance since he was the reason we made the trip. Another part of me thinks we should pay attention to the connection we felt with this girl.

So, friends, what would you do? Would you take a chance on the shy boy and hope he opens up at home, choose the affectionate girl who seems to have picked you, or keep looking for a cat who checks both boxes?
