Board Games Making my 18 card dungeon crawler free for anyone interested. Grim Gauntlet
Hello everyone! I wanted to share a solo development project I worked on for the past couple years. It is an 18 card dungeon crawler called Grim Gauntlet.
I originally designed the game as part of a game design contest but wasn't able to complete it in time. So, I worked on it over a couple of years to submit to the publisher. Unfortunately I never heard back to have it picked up.
The game was intended to be a physical game small enough to fit in a wallet, however I created a digital version for playtesting etc. The game is a bit more work to play as a digital version but is still completely playable.
Do to issues with depression and anxiety I have been having problems with motivation and drive to pursue other publishers.
I wanted to make it available and known for anyone who is interested in playing it. Hopefully at least a few people can get some joy from it.
I created this by myself with playtest help from a couple of friends and my brother. I am by no means an artists but all art was done by myself. I was hoping to get the art commissioned but I was never near close to having the funds for it so please excuse the sorry excuse for art on the cards, I tried my hardest lol.
I did put a lot of time, effort and passion into this game. It isn't perfect by any means but I really hope some find enjoyment from it if you give it a chance.
It's completely free so please consider giving is a try if you have the time. If you do, I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. I am unsure if I will be able to find that passion again but if I do I will try to implement any feedback in the future.
Here is a link to the pitch video if you would like a peek at what its about:

Here is a link to the free to play digital version of the game:

Edit: If you know any other subreddits that this post might be suitable for please let me know so I can post it there as well, thanks so much!

I've been working real hard on this dungeon crawler of mine called Jesters Dungeon. I wanted to add some unique horror visuals while keeping the combat familiar. Just uploaded the demo you can try it out.

Video Games What if Resident Evil was a roguelite deckbuilder dungeon crawler? (and you could play it right now)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I just released the demo for my game ZOMBIE CRAWLERS! Each mansion floor, zombie encounter, and puzzle layout is procedurallly generated so every playthrough is unique. Imagine playing Resident Evil 1 but every time you enter the Spencer Mansion it's a completely new layout.. that's what I'm going for!

Come try it out and let me know what you think!

Video Games Best Dungeon Crawler games on PC(Steam and GOG) for a beginner?
I’m new to Dungeon Crawlers and I’m curious what you would recommend for a beginner to try that would offer the most enjoyment. New or old doesn’t matter, just as long as it’s beginner friendly. What would you suggest?

Development Designing a late 90s style inventory for a first-person dungeon crawler: 3D Inspect view vs. Equipment & Backpack grid. Thoughts on readability and aesthetic?
Here is the inventory UI design for my upcoming dark fantasy dungeon crawler, Umbra Ark.
As fans of the genre:
- How is the readability of the pixel font against the darker stone background?
- Does the 3-panel split feel intuitive and readable at a glance, or does it feel too dense?
- Does the visual aesthetic evoke that nostalgic, unforgiving dungeon atmosphere?
> Would love to hear your honest feedback!

Video Games No Map Home 1.0.4 - Home, Secrets, and Survival!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The updates add a personal home with offline farming, a new river adventure, changing weather, and tougher journeys with injuries and gear wear. Stealth, hidden treasures, traps, and town guards bring new ways to explore—and consequences for causing trouble.
You can play in your browser as a guest, without installing anything or creating an account. Guest progress is temporary; registering during play lets you keep your hero.

Video Games I'm making sci-fi a text adventure that has dungeon crawler like movement, In it you get to remote control humans to investigate a fungus infested spaceship
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The game is all about doing a day job where you have to sit at a computer and remote control human beings for your company. To make progress you have to get the humans your controlling hurt or many killed, but we only give you 6 of them to complete the game. We're trying to create a great investigation style narrative but also give you the freedom to explore the spaceship.
There's a free demo on steam at the moment. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4253280/REMOTE_CONTROL/
If you give it a try I'd love to hear what you think.

Development WIP: A dungeon crawler set in a small post-Soviet town
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The first location is a courtyard leading to a boiler room basement, an apartment building, and a row of garages.
The music was just playing in the background while I was recording - it’s not part of the game.
If this looks like your kind of game, I’d really appreciate a wishlist on Steam:

Development A character update for Dragon's Tear, following your class feedback
Hey again! I've been working on the characters since our last class discussion. Thanks for all the ideas and for explaining what makes a class fun for you. Those replies made me look at my Knight and Ranger and realise I'd made them pretty generic, both in how they played and who they were.
I've reworked them into the Paladin and Tracker, with changes to their mechanics and artwork. Here's how they look now, together in the town.
The Paladin is on a mission to recover the Tear for the cult that raised her. She's hurt people while serving its priests, and hopes completing this task will help her make amends.
The Tracker is a father looking for answers about medicine he bought for his sick daughter. He knows his way around the old workings and joins the expedition to search for the trader's records.
I've enjoyed working out why each of them would agree to go down there. There's more to their stories, but I'll leave that for the game.
I'm also putting together a devlog about the bigger changes from the last month. A lot has been added or reworked since the earlier posts. Thanks for sticking around and helping me improve it!

Development Tiles of the Nadirat Demo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm happy to anounce that Tiles of the Nadirat is participating in Steam Next Fest! Every step matters, every decision changes your build and every class offers a different strategy. Based on feedback I already improved UI in the game from trailer you see, and I would love more feedback.
Choose your class in an ever expanding (in demo to 60x60 size) dungeon.
7 classes - seven strategies how to beat the game:
Archmage - loves everything related to mana.
Curator - enjoy collecting everything.
Elementalist - can't go wrong with elements when playing this one.
Gladiator - just likes to chill with basic attacks, who needs mana or energy anyway.
Rogue - a deadly choice for one shot builds focued on critical attacks.
Spacewalker - feels like a hacker, with access to wormholes right from the begining.
Stormbringer - master thunder and wind, became the storm with this guy.
Templar - built around templar passive, that gives him power in longer duels with monsters.
Choose how you want to conquer the Nadirat:
Mode Basic: best to learn the game and for short runs.
Mode Ascension: become stronger, however you need to optimize for a lot of fights.
Mode Late bloom - harder early game, stronger late game.
All modes have two victory options: reach level 20, or continue with the build trying to reach level 50.
Enemies scale without mercy, so choosing optimal routes and balancing offense with defense will be essential for survival.

Development Hi, Check it out...
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My game under development, hope you're interested! A group of orphans that jump into magical books in search for Honor, Power & SHLANKs (those are the game's gold coins - the capitals are intended. there are also PLanks - wooden coal coins, CLAnks - copper, BLANks - silver) went for deep interactions and emergent stories. The art is mine. The voices are generated with ElevenLabs - I made them gibberish at first but i like them now. i'd like to hear your thoughts - intend to release a demo soon

Pen and Paper Transforming my fantasy RPG into a boardgame..
Hello r/DungeonCrawler,
here's a preliminary sketch of the inserts for my fantasy role-playing PC game's boardgame version.
There's the master insert that consists of a 6x6 world map and an encounter section. Players would have wooden marker pieces on the map.
Then there's the individual player insert (1-4pc) layout. It has a 3x3 tile set to mimick a first-person view of the dungeon. It also has an inventory for items and trading cards.
Below it are the Zodiac signs and the stat section. It could be larger as there is race, class, HP, XP, lvl, STR, INT, DEX and WIS as well as gold and troop counter bars. On the right there's the chakra system.
The middle tile of the dungeon is picked at random. It could be empty, a left/right turn or an encounter. The DM would pick the encounter depending on the player's turn number and trigger events like whether the player can heal, recruit troops or barter.
Finally, there's the marketplace insert for trading cards and items between players.
Some strongpoints:
- the rules can be copied from source code
- the game mechanics feel solid
- the core graphics can be copied from the PC version
Some weakpoints:
- it's missing TCG & item illustrations
- the insert graphics are clumsy
- to save space max HP must be calculated by the DM
- boss fights need pen&paper to write down the remaining HP
- there's a lot of modifier calculation
Other than that it looks pretty nice. What are your thoughts?
-ef

Hello! This is our Dungeon Crawler where you play as peasants climbing a procedural castle full of traps and puzzles to slay a vampire.
Friendly fire is enabled.
We put our demo in Steam Next Fest, but we didn't expect to see SO MANY OTHER DUNGEON CRAWLERS. Good time to be a fan of the genre, bad time for developers (lol). Check em all out, some cool stuff in there, maybe start with ours? ;)

Development Retro dungeon crawler with 10+ years of dev (Steam Demo)
Hi everyone!
Pathos is a turn-based fantasy adventure inspired by traditional roguelikes and retro dungeon crawlers. It’s been in development for over 10 years and has grown into a substantial game with thanks to many contributions from its community.
I've recently been working on an enhanced edition and the demo is now available on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5136900/Pathos_Demo/
This demo is a 16-level dungeon where a successful run takes 2-3 hours. It's a subset of one of the four modules, designed to give a challenging but representative experience of the full game.
All 30 classes, 21 races, 18 specials and 9 companions are available to try, allowing huge variety of character builds such as satyr vampire necromancer and imp.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy the demo!
- Callan.
