Tolle has quickly become one of my favorite players in baseball, you can't help but like the guy

Hung in my room growing up. The Dodger one was the only one we got together at Dodger stadium. The others were games he saw on work trips. Pirates is honestly the coolest looking one in my opinion. Now they hang in my kids room. That whole full circle thing.

Obligatory fuck the Trashtros.

ETA: the photos I took were kind of an odd angle, they are normal looking pennant shapes.

I don’t know if this the right place to post so mods feel free to remove if not. I was cleaning out my storage and came across old helmets from my childhood. I’m over 60 now so these almost 50 years old. Most are in pretty good shape but some are showing their age. Hoping to sell for $70 OBO. Dm me if interested.

*Edit: you have to pick up near Pasadena

Good morning, r/Dodgers!

Questions of the Day

1. What’s the most interesting building you’ve ever seen or been in?

2. What’s better broken than whole?

3. What’s your favorite holiday movie?

Have a great day, r/Dodgers.

I'm a Dodger fan, however, I actually don't hate the Brewers.

They played hard, decent baseball, and literally proved those who said small market team has no chance to compete against big market teams wrong...

And on a side note, I won't mind seeing Dustin May getting his 3rd ring too...

In fact, I even wish they sweep the Rays tomorrow... It will make me feel a bit better to see another team got swept by this same Brewers team...

That said, it is funny that many Brewers fans on u/baseball are this triggered by some of us saying this WS is boring...

I mean... It is boring...

It isn't just more boring than 2025. It is more boring than the 2016 too.

It is obviously not the Brewers' fault that it is boring, it is Tampa's fault that they can't get the 3rd out in the 5th...

So why get so triggered when we say this WS is boring...

I feel sorry for Brewers fans TBH... They are about to win their first WS, yet they are triggered by Dodgers fans' comment in u/baseball

Questions of the Day

1. What’s something you really resent paying for?

2. What is the last goal you achieved?

3. What do you resent paying for most?

Have a great day, r/Dodgers.

Really fuck those guys, won't be hate watching I got Spooky stuff to do!

Given the problem the Dodgers have with their pitchers staying in the rotation for the whole season, and the way Shohei Ohtani was lunging for sweepers, I would say, “Don’t allow him to hit anymore.” Bill Plaschke says Ohtani led them to two championships. In 2024, the 55/55 year, he indeed did, although I would argue that Freddie Freeman did even more. But last year, many others were responsible for their ultimate victory, not Ohtani. Use him as a pitcher and a part-time hitter.

Mike Schaller
Temple City

So Bill Plaschke has momentarily stopped playing psychic and has morphed into general manager, saying the Dodgers should either force Shohei Ohtani to stop pitching or trade him. Is Plaschke part of the medical staff of the Dodgers so he knows the root causes of Ohtani’s injuries this year, or what it might take this offseason to fix them?

He has written a lot of inane columns making bold statements that he usually has to eat crow on, and trading Ohtani while he is still one of the best players on the planet would fall into that category. Ohtani will eventually get to the point where his body can’t do both, but I’m sure no one is using Bill Plaschke’s medical expertise to determine when that might be.

OK, so now Plaschke is ready to give the boot to Shohei Ohtani, the baseball GOAT, as he much as he was gleefully behind basketball GOAT LeBron James’ departure based upon his controlling of the team’s condition, from trades to draft picks. This takes more chutzpah than Ohtani’s insistence to continue as a two-way player.

When will the L.A. Times decide they’ve had enough of him?

The world was still buzzing the day after Gibby’s historic HR, NBC opened up the pre game show with a montage of Roy Hobbs & Kirk Gibson and interviews with Dennis Eckersley and Kirk Gibson.
It all brought back a flood of memories of watching that game with my dad who as luck would have it passed away three years ago today.
Where were you that day?

The Brewers still ended up winning the game anyways, so the missed double play did not hurt them in the end. But imagine if they lose the game because of the misstep at second base that would have ended the game.

Also gotta give credit to Will Smith for stepping on the home plate before IKF did. That play may seem like a routine force out at home, but in that moment, with season on the line and no more margin for error, a seemingly fundamental play is not so simple anymore.

Watching the World Series couldn’t tell ya why this came to my mind but wanted to share with Dodger fam. Such good times such a fun year.

Random hater at store. He was talking smack about how we were swept and out of the playoffs. Like if we can't wear team gear anymore.

I simply said "Bro, until the very last out of this last series, they are still YOUR Back to Back world series champs. Respect it."

Probably a Padres fan, who knows

If you’re into good, classic, strategic baseball, this is gonna be an amazing series. I wish we were in it, but World Series baseball is way better than no baseball for baseball lovers.

Can Bill please retire or find another city and teams to cover? His constant doom and gloom is too much, just looking to be “right” and out front. Let’s celebrate the Dodgers and the amazing level of success the franchise continues to earn.
