Here is an update on the DRDR Co-Op tests. While I tweak the split screen, I needed to see if online would work. By using a simple program and Hamachi, 2 people on 2 different networks are now able to join each other and control their Frank. Obviously, it's very rough right now (outfits, weapons, and game progress don't sync), but this is proof that 2 player online co-op is possible.

I am going to continue to work on this until it is 100% playable in either split screen or online, thanks for watching!

I’ve literally been trying to get this one last collectible for days now and I have no clue how, I looked all around that area and it’s not there pls help!

I just wanted to post and appreciate the ending of the first Dead Rising. Frank wins in a one on one encounter with a military commander after days of fighting zombies, cultists, psychopaths, and soldiers. He basically only got rest after he collapsed from being infected, which must not feel very good at all. He defeated Brock but realizes how slim his chances at survival are. He is on a tank surrounded by zombies, Isabella is surrounded by zombies on a flipped over humvee. Frank doesn’t even know how long the antidote will last for, so he truly is unsure if he is even going to truly survive. That primal scream he lets out was just raw anger and finally letting out his fear and uncertainty about the whole situation. We truly remember that Frank is just a journalist, well, he covered wars, but this is much more hands on then taking photos of others fighting. Frank was directly on the frontlines in this conflict, willingly.

I've been a massive Dead Rising fan since I was a child (it is my favorite game series of all time), but I was always annoyed that I couldn't have 2 Franks running around in the first game. With all of the insane "vibe coding" stuff recently, I decided I wanted to give it a shot. I present to you my Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Co-Op work in progress.

As of writing this, I am able to spawn a second Frank that mirrors exactly what my controller does. Currently, the game does detect a second controller, but it only allows Frank #2 to walk (no attacking yet)

In this short video, you'll see my mirrored Frank:

• Walk around
• Attack
• Do skill moves
• Fight and be killed by bosses
• Be knocked down and revived
• Follow to different areas

At the end, I select Gamepad #2 and you can see the 2 Franks move independently.

This is a very early WIP, but hopefully I'll have Frank #2 fully playable sometime soon and from there I can try and make it so 2 players can connect with one another.

Update: Frank #2 is now playable with the second controller. He can jump, attack, and perform skill moves. Next I will try to add a split screen and from there his ability to interact with items/clothes.

I have a feeling that some/all are wise that both frank and Chuck were in the same game, but as allies, instead of being allies in just "Dead Rising 2: Case West"

So, here's my idea for it. But instead of being in the Case West DLC, it's in the original Dead Rising 2 game

Recently was able to get the files for the Dead Rising 2 Mobile game. a game thought to be lost media for a long time.

here is my full playthru gameplay. from what i can tell the "Bluestacks" emulator/ Melange is unable to do audio currently?, so the whole playthru had no sound (i added DR music to the video). there is an audio file in the package, so maybe somebody can get it working eventually.

You play as Chuck Greene trying to create a "cure" for Katey's Zombie bite (though katey is not named in game). the "story" is chuck searching for a bunch of materials and fighting against 4 Zombie Boss'. the game is pretty short but you can unlock a free play mode too.
Chuck can explore 3 areas of a "Vegas hotel"(?), the main casino floor. "1st floor" which is hotel rooms. and "2nd floor" which has a big table maybe a meeting room that has a 2nd area to the right where elvis is.

i need help with multiplayer

Going into my last day of seven day survivor, I'm all barricaded up in Columbian Roastmasters with enough food to make it through, and I'm kept company by everyone's favorite dead clown. Wish me luck!

So, I haven't been playing DR2 much due to being with other stuff, but I got it a month ago and played some of the beginning. And yesterday I mostly wandered around the map for a bit rescuing survivors, and I already failed case 2 and 3 due to spending most of the time prioritizing survivors.

And I enjoyed it! I still feel a bit intimidated on maybe having to slowly optimize routes or just specific survivor's instead of going more freely and improvising, but I sincerely enjoyed loading my game, going for some of the same initial survivor's, go a bit earlier to the main quest...And failing again because I spent too much time on survivor's!

I chose to then restart with my current lvl (like 9, maybe 10), and I learned that I'm not THAT rushed to go for survivor's, so I'm so slowly getting used to how the time and missions work, and I'm finding way more enjoyment on it than I expected.

And that's it really. At much also getting used to moving around zombies without losing much hp, since I'm getting constantly bited. But in between the HP upgrades, lvl ups and habilities like the jump kick I guess it just get's easier later, but it's still hella fun

A while ago i met someone who found this old ass nigh lost media Dead Rising the Survival-y demake of DR2. Reminds me alot of the old Bioshock mobile demake. There was some pretty interesting lore changes with this game, zombrex isnt a thing instead you need to get a cure to save Katey lol

It makes me think Capcom dumbed down the others on purpose, which actually makes sense, since Brad and Isabela are more experienced.

I feel like Off the record was made by an angry fan of Dead Rising 1 who really dislike Dead Rising 2, because Frank West was replaced by Chuck Greene.

So, that guy use his own money to make Dead Rising 2 with Frank as the protagonist. Frank is a famous celeb and cool guy after the event of the first game. Chuck is turned into a crazy lunatic, and he is just a mini boss. Kathy is dead. Stacy is evil and also the main villain. Frank gets to date the hottest chick in the game, Rebecca.

Except for the game was actually made by Capcom. Capcom approved it and published it.

Did an entire run only with orange juice even to the survivors but somehow didn't unlock that trophy. Seems a bit buggy or the sandbox mode corruption or smt messed up the tracker the why it's very confusing.

So does someone has a save right before unlocking it so I can hop in and get it myself? I would greatly appreciate that. Psn is apukami1.

So, I know what some/all of you are probably wondering, but hear me out:

So, I know that since los Perdidos is such a big city with four districts. I'm surprised there's no zoo in one of the districts. Better yet, zombified animals as well

I mean, if there's a zombie outbreak in the city of los Perdidos, then shouldn't there be zombie animals as well?

Plus, imagine a new Psychopath, like a psychopath zoo keeper who actually was a professor of animal biology and facts about animals, only to be fired and work at a zoo to continue to study his biology and facts about animals, or a animal caretaker psychopath with either their normal or zombified animal companion like Ted and snowflake

And, imagine some new combo weapons and vehicles you could have from a zoo, along with new survivor side missions

So,... what do guys and gals think about the idea?
