Sarah hunt and Ashley not MAGA anymore....

I came across Sarah's tiktok earlier and she was talking about how she is grown and doest support Trump anymore and same thing with Ashley. It makes me wonder like why they aren't supporting him now. Not to bring politics in this group, I don't trust these people have changed anymore. Sarah's social media was promising before campaigning heavily for Trump, she used to get so much followers and views it all stopped after. How do we know they are saying this because they want social media support and brands. Few years ago on a podcast Kalani said she wasn't making much money that time on social media and it was hard for her to get brand deals because of how vocal she got on CERTAIN ISSUES. Brooke has said she wasn't going to attach her brand with politics because social media is a job for her.

Like the way I see it most of them know that if they talk about their support for Trump, people are gonna stop supporting them on social media and they won't be making money at all, thats why most of them are silent. They know the side they are on is not what most people would support.

cathy is so mean, especially now that she's friends with abby again 🙄

i saw in her recent interview that she called out christi and kelly about them not being smart enough and being caught up in stuff and not realizing what's real and what's reality..

well, easy for her to say, her child wasn't abused every single week on national television, she rarely got to film and vivianne was protected by her mom and production, the worst thing that they did to vivi was call her a human prop and tell her that she couldn't dance, which, to be real, she couldn't

such a privilaged take from her

This moment is actually kind of scary I think

The emotional abuse is so obvious here. Calling them brats (for not taking a photo with her) and saying "You're not ready to leave me yet" because she realized her control over them was over. Happens again after the Boss Ladies dance when she's asked if she has any final words for the girls and her response is "Maddie did ____ in the dance wrong, and so did Mackenzie" instead of something nice.

This is Getting Old

Dance Moms viewers are disingenuous about the hate Maddie received. This isn’t to say the other girls didn’t face criticism or that Maddie received the most, but she was heavily criticized throughout seasons 1–4, despite having a solid fanbase.

Even today, people justify criticism of her dancing and acting because she was Abby’s favorite, even though Maddie stated that the favoritism contributed to lasting anxiety. Majority of fans continue to say that Maddie was not a good dancer.

Christi and Kelly also contributed to portraying Maddie negatively on the show. She was the only child whose character was repeatedly brought into question, rather than just her abilities as a dancer or the favoritism she received. Much of the resentment toward Abby and Melissa continues to be projected onto Maddie, even a decade after the show ended.

So I'm rewatching season 4 and am on the episode where Abby puts Kelly "on top of the pyramid". This scene has never made sense to me.

What point or joke was Abby trying to make with that? Is it just how she looks in the pic that's supposed to be funny or?

Meme Thought I’ll do something fun ? Pretend lifetime is paying you to interview one of these Dance Mom’s on a podcast but it goes by your zodiac sign…who you are interviewing ?

“B-but she was mean!!” I can’t fathom how people— grown adults even— think they’re in the right for making fun of a mean child… what makes you literally any better?

just now realizing dance moms should never had happened

so im now an adult rewatching dance moms because it was added to netflix and i thought it would be good to watch again since i loved it so much as a kid. i skipped season one and just got to season 2 epsiode 12 and had to turn the show off. watching this again while having a more "grown" perspective is so upsetting. i feel for these girls way more now. like i still felt their stress as a kid but now it's to a whole new extent. i know this isn't a new conversation but i still wanted to share this. these girls should have never been put in these situations ever at such a young age. seeing maddie so stressed in this episode especially was so crazy. shows like this should never exist!!!!

BTTB Pink Lemonade

Hi!

Soooo I’m finally watching BTTB and I’m on the season 3 pink lemonade dance and how AWFUL Abby was to Chloe (literally walking in and just straight YELLING at her “NICE JOB CHLOE” and talking so horribly about her in the room and Christi getting her daughter out asap) and I just gotta say, I don’t love how Kelly is kind of downplaying/comparing Christi’s experience. Like Christi is saying how hard that episode was for her and Kelly turns it back to her saying like “oh at least you got a cab! I didn’t even get that” like can you let Christi have her experience without downplaying it damn lol

Even in the after party she starts off by saying “this wasn’t even that bad calm down” TO CHRISTI and Christi is just like yeah okay but like cmon Kelly why are you saying that to her??? She doesn’t downplay your experience and trauma…

I just HAD to say it and see if anyone else noticed? I LOVE Kelly and Christi but just had to say it haha

Take: Kenzie would have nailed the Cry solo if it were the Over the Rainbow solo...

Personally i prefer it over Cry anyways cus why are we smiling the whole time and then throwing in one distressed facial but i just think over the rainbow is just visually so gorge like ik it's the same choreo and costume but it just is better to me! And it suits Kenz a lot more than Cry!

And for context in case anyone doesn't know, Maddies Cry solo was originally to the song Over the Rainbow! It's on youtube and Maddies hair is also in pigtails in this solo so she could portray Dorothy!

Thoughts on this?? I think Cathy being friends with Abby after all of the genuine comments she made about Vivi and her other dancers is wild.

Question/discussion S3 Production notes

Does anyone have the production notes for season 3? Anytime I watch it (specifically when Christi and Chloe got suspended for Chloe’s hat) I always feel like there’s WAYYY more that happened. Does anyone know if Christi or Kelly talked about it?

Question/discussion I just rewatched the FANtastic episode. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’m watching through the show again, and I haven’t watched that episode in years, so I went on a pirating site and….this episode was wrong on so many levels.

First, Abby made several comments about the girls being "unclothed" and Paige said "I’m only 11" to which Abby responded "that’s why you can get away with it." WHAT. I was genuinely shocked by how how nonchalant Abby was being about the dance like…she’s an adult. No way she thought that this was appropriate…no way she’s that careless and obtuse. Nvm we’re talking about Abby.

Second, Abby kept a few of the girls really really late at night to practice. It was heartbreaking to watch Brooke and Paige cry because of how tired they were. They go to school early in the morning and go straight to dance. Keeping them so late is extremely harsh and inconsiderate cause they’re just kids and they’re working harder than alot of adults at that time.

And then don’t get me started on the beef jerky commercial. As much as the fandom likes to joke about it that was humiliating for Chloe. She’s in a meat suit on television. Enough said.

And then the fan dance in full. It was horrible, I hated what she did. It was uncomfortable. And I’m happy that there was enough outrage to get that wiped from streaming services. Even Melissa looked uncomfortable during the costume fitting. And what’s sick is that they had Nia and Maddie in the interview saying that they liked the costume cause it makes them look "pretty". The whole episode was extremely perverted and watching it through adult eyed made me never want to watch it again.

It’s sad that Maddie and Chloe’s solos were so good this episode though, cause they’re now hard to find except for The Raven.

Question/discussion elliana and jentzen breakup

now that the videos/receipts are out, what is everyone's honest opinion on this situation?
i don’t really pay much attention to these people, but
jentzen announcing that elliana repeatedly cheated on him with a 42-year-old man completely threw me. it was so immature how he handled the situation by shading/humiliating his ex for everyone to see as well as showing the text messages. however, elliana recently went on the girl talk podcast to talk about the split, not going into too much detail and she also mentioned he cheated as well.
honestly, it feels like a total mess and nobody is innocent here, especially yolanda. she had no business getting involved and hiding the cheating from jentzen. with the cheating allegations flying back and forth from both sides, it seems like a classic case of a toxic young social media relationship. it’s hard to believe either one. these problems should’ve been handled behind closed doors.
i honestly can’t fathom how much elliana is feeling right now and am truly concerned about her. she definitely needs to take some time off social media and find peace as well as proper healing. she’s been through a lot in her lifetime.

Question/discussion Season 3

Currently watching for the first time and I have one major question: why is Abby so pressed about beating Cathy? I understand they have a rivalry but these aren’t even Cathy’s dancers just good dancers that she’s recruited and she’s getting choreographers too. Idk why it’s gets Abby so riled up when these aren’t boys cathy has trained or even her choreography. To me that would make the sting much less than if her own trained dancers and choreography beat Abby. What are everyone’s opinions on that?
