Any thoughts on Sonora Garden Residences? We’re planning to buy a 2 br unit.

Just want to get your advise/consult OP. I got a 1 br unit for RTO before getting married from a respected developer here in Metro Manila. After 2 years of leasing and getting married for a year, me and my wife decided to not to proceed with the purchase of my current unit and get a 2br unit RTO with the same developer and building but with a new contract.

We started the reservation process of 2br unit 2nd week of Oct. When i filled up the reservation agreement form I selected Single in may civil status thinking that we dont have any updated documents as married but we only have our marriage contract. Paid the reservation fee and after a week i received the CI call. During the call I voluntary disclosed to the caller that im actually married and the document we have is the marriage contract only. The CI caller only advised me to share our marriage contract to the agent for proper documentation.

After few days, I was informed by our advisor that due to the incorrect information i have stated in the reservation form and to correct this I need to pay 24K php as processing fee.

I found this so unfair on my end that i need to pay that large amount to correct and update the information only. I voluntarily disclosed this information in the CI process (since thats the purpose of it to validate information) and
to think of it, we are still in the process of reservation and we dont have yet the formal contract.

I reviewed the reservation form and there were no clause about processing fee. There is only a clause in the agreement about rates that was not even shared to me.

I tried to negotiate if this fee can be waived but it was also denied.

I requested official documentation about this processing fee to understand what are the breakdown of the fee atleast to understand the grounds but instead of providing the official dcumentation the account manager/officer of my agent told me that there are just following the company policy and told me that I should have declared married in the first place and the marriage cert is sufficient. But that this is my point, no one told me that is MC is already sufficient so that I can put M. The advisor also knows that we were already married but no one validated the forms either and that is why during CI idisclosed it. I dont have any idea that disclosing the information would result to this additional fee. My intention to is correct the information and since my wife name is already in the reservation form when we submitted and we both signed.

Since the reservation will end on Nov 13 i dont have a win win situation, either not pay the processing fee and just say good bye to the reservation fee or pay the additional fee to proceed with process.

I really find this very unfair and the reply of the account manager seems like parang sinabi niya ang tanga ko in the first place.
