Here's a few shots of the cat room with 5 cat trees and a few cat condos and multiple repurposed furniture pieces (ongoing DIY palace project) 🪄🏰😉
galleryme again! long story short after getting our third cat the red little Abyssinian Vladimir, my girlfriends allergies flaired up severely and we were getting to a pretty bad place including considering rehoming them and other crazy options... so we decided to segregate our house and gave them our bedroom moving all the cat stuff around the apartment into here... anyways I decided to go a bit crazy and give them a cat room/jungle of their own and keep the allergens at bay meanwhile! it has been such a success and the cat room DIY is ongoing... roughly 70% done ish 😁 oooh plus plenty of cat tax to be spotted

Suggestions for wall mounted cat climbers?
We have this awesome bunker space that we'd love to make accessible for our cats, but we don't know how to help them get up there! Does anyone know any combination of shelves or posts that would fit in this corner?
Our ceiling is 9.5' (114") high, so some longer posts I've seen won't be able to anchor off of it, so I was thinking about something wall mounted, but open to all suggestions! Thank you!

Using the wall for the first time 2 months after we put it up!
Our other cat used it almost immediately, but this is our timid girl who's also usually a bit of a groundhog. She suddenly decided to explore the wall nearly 2 months after we put it up and now uses it every day!

Escape Stairs in Backyard
I have a stray cat that's been hanging around my house lately and I'm worried about her getting trapped in the backyard. I have 4 dogs, and they've killed squirrels and opposums before, so I'm worried she might get trapped in the fence and unable to get out if I don't see her when I let the dogs out. We have a 6+ft privacy fence so I'm trying to figure out how to make her some escape stairs the dogs can't get up in case of an emergency. Any suggestions?

Roof window/velux platform
I live in a roof appartment with sloping walls that mainly has roof windows (velux). Does anybody have an idea for creating something so my cat can sit close by the window so he can look outside? The cat beds with suction cups aren't really an option here.
Right now he uses my desk and computer to reach te windows, which often results in him pushing the power button which turns off my pc.

Custom/DIY cat wall with 5ft climbing post
I bought a bunch of stuff from Catastrophicreations for the living room then figured I'd save the money and just make my own for this room. 2x12s for the platforms, 1x scraps for the railings and bridge planks, and heavy duty corner braces mounted into studs.
I ended up adding another little platform to the bottom left for my special-needs cat to be able to jump up more easily and another platform on the right when I moved the cat tree. I didn't care to take the time to stain it, like the look of natural pine, and put carpet scraps on all the platforms for traction anyway.

Sassy and Cheyanne have a new playground!
Stopping by to share our very basic cat wall after its completion and initial breaking-in party!
I do want to add some sort of enclosure that lets them hide more, because these previously feral cats prefer their privacy, but I'm thrilled that they even got up there to explore (with the help of some conveniently placed treats).
Watching Cheyenne walk up to and scale that carpet wall like it was nothing was a very happy moment.
If you have a favorite piece that lets them hide up high while still allowing mobility on more than one side let me know!

Rock-solid Catwall
My son and I created a catwall/transit in our bonus room over garage. All brackets are in studs. Used butcher-block for the platforms. They jump from the window-sills to the first platform - and platforms are 20" apart (height).
We wanted to create a system where our cats could not be cornered by other cats.
Upcoming improvements include; painting screw heads, carpeting using remnants from our recent upstairs re-carpet, adding a support bracket mid-bridge up to ceiling (it's sturdy now, but I know it will sag with years), and adding features (like a sisal climbing pole).
What would you add?

Floor to Ceiling Cat Trees: Yay or Nay?
What are the thoughts here on floor to ceiling Cat Trees? Are they safe?
I am planning to do a cat wall and I'm considering integrating a cat tree along with it. Mostly because I need to paint before I do the wall, and between moving furniture and built ins, the painting wont be easy so there's an inertia barrier to get to the cat wall. The tree would give my kitten something cool to do while I get the wall done
I've been looking at PetOMG, their floor to ceiling designs seem to be sturdy. They have a broad flat plate pressing into the ceiling (instead of the threaded screw design which looks flimsy). I also like that they have a full line of cat wall products that would match their tree. And even if I went with a different wall vendor, their products are neutral color so it would be easy to match
I like these two but I'm open to recommendations for a better product.

Cat furniture tip!!! Pleaseeee
Hi! I just adopted my first cat and have no experience with cats. I’ve been looking for cat furniture and found some really nice pieces designed for both cats and people. Some are customizable, but they’re pretty expensive.
For experienced cat owners, is this kind of furniture worth the extra money? What furniture does your cat actually use and love?

Thinking about expanding my cat’s wall, any advice?
I have one kitty living with me, and she’s a very playful lady. She loves her shelves and I really want to expand it so she can have more space. I want to continue the shelves to the left of the moon bed, because she often peeks out of it trying to find something to jump onto. This way she could access the wall from both sides of the room.
Also maybe I’d want to add a second layer over the could shelf, so she would have multiple routes to choose from.
