She was just born like that.. what is it???

Edit : alot of people think she actually has some mutation. Just to clarify, this was a silly joke (I didnt think this would blow up) her brother lost a whisker and i put it on her head and it made me laugh. (I wish she grew a whisker like that)

Is she ok? It didn’t seem like she was actually breathing through her mouth but it’s still weird and she’s never did it before. I would take her to the vet but I’m a new cat owner and I just want to make sure this isn’t a weird cat behavior like them squinting at you.

She’s 7 months old, no health issues, had all her shots, she’s gonna be spayed at the first of November (would’ve been sooner but no vet would spay her before six months and then she had a uti that cost over half a grand and that took priority).

I had my boy groomed today, they had to shave him because the fur on his stomach and legs had become heavily matted.

I just noticed a few hours after coming home that his whiskers had been shaved off too. (I added a photo of him pre-shaved as reference to how long his fur and whiskers were). Is he going to be okay?

I didn’t even know cats needed nail trims, and I’ve never trimmed her claws before but i thought they looked fine, are they too long? Her paws are fluffy so I cant tell if the claws are sticking out of the paws (like i saw on google on how to check if they’re long) so i’m not sure

I was out doing some errand, and when I came back, one my my kittens got her whiskers cut short. Should I be worried? What can I do?

Update: I now think that the second kitty might have been the culprit. So it might not be someone's malicious intent. Thank you everyone for giving me a peace of mind.

Update 2: thank you for all your concerns, I just want to add a few things. The three girls are orphans, that I found near my workplace. And I don't use candles. I know now that their whisker will grow back, and it's definitely from the rough-housing. As of now, I see a lot of head-bumping into carton boxes, but she's still very adventurous.

Looking after my sister's cat for a week and she's been doing this, and been fairly distant towards me compared to how she usually behaves

He's neutered and 2 1/2

She is extremely skinny, half the size that she used to be. I can feel every bone in her body. My sister said she is still eating a lot, drinking a lot and going the bathroom. I just don’t know if she is suffering and she doesn’t have a lot of money to take her to the vet. She is also 18 so don’t know if much could be done:(

Update: I wasn’t expecting so much engagement on this post, thank all you so much for all of your advice and kind words. I have read most of the comments and I wish I could respond to you all. It makes me so happy that all of you care about this sweet 18 year old girl named Stella, who came onto our lives when we were just little kids. My sister has made a vet appointment for her tomorrow, so I will update again after that.

This post really opened her eyes to the fact that Stella may not be around for too much longer and that is so scary, but I hope we can get her some assistance to prolong her life even a little bit.

this is nookie, she was found underneath a wood pallet in the county as a baby, so she's a little special... but she is a very active cat, eats good food but her pouch is just so large compared to my others cats. is it just boobies?

As you can see her belly is still bald 10 months after being spayed. Like a tiny bit of peach fuzz around the edges and nothing else. She never licked at the area and had a cone on for 13 days post surgery. I don’t understand why the fur isn’t growing back she looks ridiculous 😭. Is this normal? Will it ever come back?

EDIT: I work from home 3 days a week and I’m home a lot and she is pretty much glued to me most of the day and never see her grooming there excessively but possible she does it when I’m not looking. I’ll ask the vet next time we go. Im surprised there are so many other people here with bald belly cats cause the Internet research I did not seem to think that was a thing! It makes me feel better knowing there is a bald belly cat gang out there I guess I will embrace the pooch if the vet says it’s just a thing that can’t be helped!

The building cat that I’ve fed for over 2yrs came back on my birthday with his cheek-ear bitten off by a dog!
He does disappear often and comes back just the same so we weren’t worried. But seeing him so wounded broke our heart.

Hey! I've been drying some mint for tea and discovered that my cat just likes to lie around it. He just likes the texture and sound. He doesn't chew on it or ingest in any way. Is it safe? Is mint toxic for cats?

I just rescued this baby from outside about an hour ago. I usually don’t encourage getting cats this early but she had been outside in the pouring rain for a few hours and I had to. When I went to go comb her fur I felt tons and tons of little clumps. They crumbled and formed into little white flakes, kinda looking like human dandruff. What is this? Is it a medical condition?

FINAL UPDATE: I’m so sorry for the grim update, but we had to put her down. I’m at least glad she was able to go without being in pain. Thank you all for your love and support.

flea is 1.8 years old shes always been very small. She eats the most put of all my cats but cant seem to thicken up. She acts normal and is full of energy but should i be worried?

My cat’s eyes were fine this morning, but they turned like this at night. His eye are also watery, and it takes a while for him to open it when he closes it. I’m going to take him to the vet tomorrow morning.

I am a city letter carrier and I started a new route where I have been running into this guy daily. the first time I saw him, he genuinely scared me because I thought his eyes were popping from his head! Now I have seen him twice more and he let me get a photo today. Does this look normal?? I have 4 cats at home and none of their eyes are even half as large! TIA

I just adopted a 16 week old kitten two days ago. This is my first cat so I'm worried I'm doing something wrong. He seems scared at night so I've been letting him lay on my chest at night and just letting him down when he wants (I'm a light sleeper). I've noticed that any time he lays on my chest, his breaths seem to vibrate. His throat rumbles a lot too. I'm worried he might have a respiratory infection. Should I be worried? I'm sorry if this is so stupid, I just don't have any friends with cats and I haven't owned any myself. I want to take good care of my boy. Picture attached.

Edit: I know cats purr, haha. I just didn't expect him to purr so soon. He's so timid when he's not being held that I thought something was wrong.

I dont know if its medical question but honestly im just curious

I was petting my cat and found this on him and tried pulling it off but it wouldn't budge. It seems to remove the fur surrounding it and worried it could be a harmful organism, cyst, or something.

I have this stray cat that has been visiting my family lately. We leave water and food out for her sometimes. I think she might be pregnant but I have no idea. I’m worried she might be too young to be pregnant but then again I don’t know if she’s pregnant or just been hunting a lot of food. I’ve had this suspicion since she started visiting us.
