Team 8 became a bye team because nobody stated they wanted to fill the team. The revised schedule is included in this report in light of that.
Good luck & good bowling to all, especially the RBL Tour bowlers! 🎳👍

SPOILERS OK - GAME THREAD
Use this thread to chat about the TV finals before, during and after the telecasts. Have questions? Post them below and I will do my best to answer them.
CBS Sports Net is offered on most cable and some streaming services. If you are a cord-cutter and don't subscribe for either of those, you could try a free trial to YouTube TV (21 days) or Hulu Live TV (3 days).

Last week I made a post here excited about bowling a new personal best of 237 and 571 for a series. It dropped my handicap by 9 pins from 81 to 72. I wasn't expecting to replicate that at all, my goal this week was simply to bowl to my new average and prove last week wasn't a fluke. For context, I'm 47 and I've only been bowling for 8 months.
Wasn't looking good in the first game, I had no strikes and 4 splits (!) but still managed to shoot 137 which was at least a decent enough score that our team was able to win the first game and I felt like I could make that game up the rest of the evening.
Started out with 2 spares in the second game and then caught fire with 8 strikes in a row. Had no idea what my overall score was gonna be but I got 9 and spare to finish it off. I was stunned when I looked up and saw 267!
Shot a solid 179 the final game for a 583 and 4-0 night for the team. It was also the last week of the first quarter and I am pretty sure I locked up most improved men's bowler with my performance tonight as my starting handicap was 97.
I only wish I found this sport when I was younger.

Recently have developed a callus on my thumb from possibly squeezing with my thumb. Completely ruined my average in one night. And when I mean squeezing probably squeezing by bending at the first knuckle. Any how i went and had a little work done on the thumb hole and i can let the ball hang at my side without squeezingmbut when I swing it's just natural reflex to squeeze. Anything tips to help stop that? And if I squeeze should it be at bend between my thumb and index finger?
Thanks everyone for any tips.

The 2027 PBA Season will include 30 events (up from 23 last year by my count), beginning Feb. 21 and running through June. There will be a televised event each Sunday during this run. Highlights include 5 Majors, an All-Star Event, and a 33-player playoff leading to the World Championship.

The OG Hy-road is my favorite ball atm. I’ve always wanted a pearl version but never got my hands on one. When looking for undrilled ones I found this overseas one that caught my eye. Not only is it beautiful in my opinion, but it has R2X (which is the stronger pearl coverstock). Forget holding on to this as a collector’s item, I’m drilling it ASAP.

Hypothetical question:
Let’s say you’re currently averaging 180, and you could pay to permanently improve your average.
If it cost $100 per pin, improving from a 180 to a 190 average would cost you $1,000.
How much would you be willing to pay per pin of improvement and how many pins of improvement would you buy? And what’s your current average?

Started bowling with my long time bowling wife a few months ago, and it kills her seeing me bowl with a house ball. So I’ve been up all night researching and I’ve landed on the new Motiv Frenzy ball. Seems relatively beginner friendly while also having room to grow as I improve. Still figuring out the specifics of how I want to get it drilled, but I’m stuck on choosing the color. I like them both very much, so I wanted to get the opinion of my fellow bowlers on this one!

Hi all,
Getting into bowling again. I use to bowl with the track rule back in the day and loved that ball. I had two but both ended up cracking or splitting over time.
Does anyone know where I might be able to buy one? No luck on ebay.
Current balls that may feel similar?

I literally just started 2 months ago, im averaging 70. ( :/ ) I mostly got throwing straight down pat. But hooking is no bueno. I have a 10lb raw hammer. (I know, light, but I’ve had spine surgeries in the past and wanted to work my way up.) im aware it doesn’t have a core at this weight, but my boyfriend and his friend can hook my ball. His friend explained it to me to throw it like you’re shaking hands with someone, But when I tried it just spins down the lane like a top. Can someone please explain step by step how to throw a hook?

I won a ball raffle. Any suggestions or reactive bowling balls you think might be worth having? My specs aren’t important because I honestly don’t even need the ball. What would pair well with the Bionic if I were to keep the ball? I have a Gremlin Tour which I do like.

So for an additional $10 you can put in your arsenal, and they will take preferences for what you want. I just put in there I would prefer a Hammer solid of some sort and a hybrid ball. So we shall see, I could get a TWIST spare ball or a Zero Mercy solid, who knows but 2 balls for $99 is great

Idk just curious; kinda a bad shot since I was just trying really hard to get my ball past the burnt house shot fronts (and I'm purposefully kinda super around the ball to help it get downlane)

Hi! First time posting here, so let me know if this isn’t something that is good for this thread. Some context: I’ve just recently joined my first bowling league and am loving it! My 6-week handicap overall is 125 but since getting my first ball I averaged around a 145. In a two handed, right hand bowler.
Ive been starting to experience some soreness/strain in my left leg/hip area. Here is a video of my form (I have very few videos).
Is the soreness normal and just have to build a tolerance or does my form look off to the point of injuring myself eventually?

Recently started bowling around 1.5 months ago, personal best is a 213 with a 148 average. I am a current college football freshman long snapper as well. Noticing there may be a lot of flaws within my game. Any feedback and suggestions help, thanks.

Been in a Lousy Bowler league for a few years now. Started out bowling with their house ball and no hook. Slowly moved to two handed and bought a couple balls. Been lurking around here the past month reading comments about form and feedback. Coincidentally around the time of joining this subreddit my average drastically improved by 30 pins over the past 5 weeks. Not sure what I changed, but I am hoping my form has a good enough base to be sustainable. Any suggestions/constructive criticism is welcome.
