She's like "damn this rat doesn't smell like rat, but it's warm like rat."

She only seems to do it to me and not my boyfriend (shes known us both same amount of time as we live together) I thought maybe it was something like that but confused why it seems to only be directed to me

Idk dude these guys are super weird, mine does the same face rubbing but doesn't open her mouth lol as long as you have her temps right, proper husbandry, and she's not showing signs of stress, she's all good.

who does the feeding? i find my snake always looks at me when she’s in a mood as opposed to my fiance or her family, and i kinda assume its cause she knows im the one who dangles rats in her enclosure. dont know if that holds any actual water as a theory tho XD

Are you the one that feeds her?

Maybe you use different skin/shower products and she likes them?

They can have the strangest reasons, mostly smell and maybe even if you usually have warmer arms than your boyfriend - that's something she could react to, too.

Something much more common is if you smell like food, not just theirs, also some human foods like meats, egg and fish, those can also cause feeding responses. Sometimes it's something as profound as Lotion with some scent compound that she associates with food.

Snakes can build weird associations between unrelated smells and getting food. That's the main risk in handfeeding and why it's discouraged, as the association can lead to getting a Kissy from the Hissy.

You and boyfriend have different personal scents. May have something to do with it.
