Look, I know the newer Audi interiors have already been talked to death at this point, but after seeing integrations of similarly shaped screens from other manufacturers, it really just leaves me wondering how the hell Audi even approved such a dogshit screen design.

Seriously, why are the bezels around the instrument cluster almost the same damn size as the instrument display itself? It looks like absolute garbage.

I mean, look at the 33 inch screens found in the newer Cadillacs (image 3). I’m not even a fan of American cars but that is also a skateboard style screen, and it actually uses most of the screen real estate. Could Audi not have done at least this?

I really can’t wait until these newer dumbass interiors disappear.

Jokes aside, I saw a B10 and was disgusted. In this I have every physical control within reach, with eyes on the road.

I took out my B5 for a photo shoot with my buddy who has a B9. Really happy with how the pics came out!

Also, I know the URS4 was technically the first car to get the “S4” name but that was on the A6 chassis.

This is my 5th Audi, lol. Had an S5, Sq5, S5, S5, and now this Q7.

I should have never traded my 2024 S5 for the 2026 S5. A mouse did me a favor and chewed through a wire on the 2026 S5 and I was able to get out of the lease and into this 2026 dealer demo Q7 55. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. The refinement, quality, drive FAR outweighs the 2026 S5. Think that’s a testament to the cheapening out of that redesign. The sound system is worlds better, the quality of the paneling and lack of any rattling is far superior, the Haptic Touch is very nice. I was also very surprised at how much power the v6 in the Q7 has! Obviously it’s no v8, but honestly I don’t feel like I’m missing the S5 at ALL. For my little family, this feels like the perfect SUV and I am SO obsessed. All in all, I got a great deal on this because it’s a 2026 and a dealer demo with 10k miles on it and I could not miss the 2026 S5 less.

My 2024 S5? She’ll always have my heart. But my family was tired of feeling cramped so being on the new mom-mobile. 🤙🏼

I’m not complaining about people or the brand, I’m just looking for insight.

I’d settled on buying a 2024 S5 Prestige this December, but I see nothing but problem posts filled with comments commiserating. I’m not on other subs, so I can’t say if they’re all like this, but it seems like more than half the content is people asking about the same issues across many years and models. I was aware that Audi ranks lower in reliability than other options that I like less, but not to this extent. I’m sad to think that buying one of my dream cars is an objectively unwise choice.

Bought my first Audi, a 2018 S5 Sportsback B9 with 104k on the clock. Four days in and I am really impressed with this car (previous was a BMW M140i).

Anything to watch out for? I'm reasonably certain I have the newer rockers and the water pump has been replaced fairly recently.

I am tempted by the O34 Motorsport stage 1 tune, but would need to replace the intercooler I'd guess. Has anyone done it?

Hi everyone,

On October 6th, I installed a software update that allows CarPlay maps to be displayed on the Virtual Cockpit.

Everything was working fine, apart from a few minor issues like CarPlay randomly disconnecting or freezing. However, these problems were so rare that I didn't really pay much attention to them.

Today, though, I ran into a different issue. When I got into the car and connected my phone, a message appeared on the MMI screen saying that I needed to activate CarPlay for this phone.

I clicked "Activate", then accepted the terms and conditions that appeared, and... nothing happened, it just return to MMI home screen.

CarPlay simply won't start, and every 1–2 minutes, the CarPlay activation screen keeps popping up again.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows how to fix it?

I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions!

Looking for some advice. I’m looking into purchasing as my little boys call it a “broom broom” car. For the longest time I’ve wanted an B8.5 RS5 for the thrilling and exhilarating 4.2L V8 engine but hard to find in good shape, low mileage, etc…. So I opened the options to supercharged v6 S5 which I’ve found some with low mileage and preferred specs. My biggest concern with the coupes is having a big enough back seat to fit two car seats(boys are 4 and 5). Has anyone found at least one to fit? Need them to experience the ride with me, can’t leave em out! Then, there’s the B9 S5 hatchback four door option. A more practical option for us but not the same as the other models. What do you guys think? And advice? I’m so drawn to the RS5! Thanks!

Ik heb een Audi A3 8V uit 2016, 1.0 TFSI met automatische S tronic-versnellingsbak (DQ200).
Ik krijg foutcode B116229 en af en toe de melding ‘Wagenelektronica storing, kies stand P voordat u uitstapt’.
De melding komt en gaat. De auto start normaal en rijdt verder zonder merkbare problemen.
Heeft iemand dit eerder meegemaakt? Kan het probleem zitten in de keuzehendel, de positiesensor of de elektronica van de DSG-bak?
Ik hoor graag jullie ervaringen en mogelijke oplossingen voordat ik onderdelen ga vervangen.
