Fear not, r/atheism will be bored of Islam soon enough and your time will come. I'm a fan of non-discriminatory pointing out of irrational beliefs. Plus, I enjoy a tasty baby on every religious holiday.

You'll be glad to know all the religious books are 80% the same, just slightly different fairy tales to conclude with the same morals.

I've planned to start the bible in late august and then the koran when I can finish the bible. I'm actually really excited about it. I haven't read much of the bible and when I did it was a long time ago. I may even make a wordpress blog of every chapter I read ridiculing it.

You cannot even begin to imagine how cosmically boring this thing is, good luck son, you're gonna need it

It's like a thousand pages too. I have been wanting to do this for years now so I'm committed. I also know how boring it is as I've tried and failed before but this time I have a feeling that I can do it.

This guy did something similar. Looks like he gave up at Deuteronomy 26...

While you're at it you should put Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand on that list! Another marvelously fun to read book!

Might want to get a head start & read the Torah then...

3

u/captf Jun 26 '12

He's pretty much read it already (:

[of course, that was probably part of your joke, and I'm being dense...]

Yeah it was. I do wonder what the next religion this board is going to after next. I don't see much bashing of Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Bahá'í, Shinto or Taoism either too. Just the various sects of Christianity & Islam.

What did you learn?

I'm seriously laughing out loud right now. The irony isn't lost here.

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '12

What happened? why the sudden switch to Islam? lol

u/SavoringSavannah Jun 26 '12

Winner. You read the bible just to bash christianity. That's alright you can just quickly pick up the Koran too so you can broaden your knowledge of culture and religion that people actually put their faith into and then go ahead and crush their spirits with asshole comments. That should give you a quick hobby.

You read the Bible just to bash it? Do you realize what a pathetic, close-minded cunt you are? I wish God would just get rid of you atheist fucktards, you don't deserve to be alive for another second.

I'm not really mad though, because I know what God has in store for you. It brings me great pleasure to think of all of you suffering eternally. I laugh every time i think about it

I read the bible to correctly cite the logical fallacies. I never bothered to read it when I called myself a Christian as nobody seemed to think it was appropriate for a child.
