The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in Itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.

And indeed, you are of a great moral character.

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.

ISLAM IS A PEACEFUL RELIGION AND IF YOU SAY OTHERWISE I'LL KILL YOU

23

u/dmadmin Jun 25 '12 edited Jun 25 '12

Yes it is Peaceful religion if you take it/ read it from Sunni / Shia ways

but its going to be horrible, terrorist, cancer, virus ideology if you take it from the Wahabi / selefi ways.

Now all i saw from this thread and other threads posted against Islam are texts from the books of Wahabi ideology which represent only 1% of the Islamic world. those are what we call in Suni and Shia CANCER OF Islam. because they use 45$ billion plus to advertise those hate words and false stories about the prophet to the world.

the reason to destroy Islam using false Muslims.

False Muslims = any Muslim who read the books of Albany, Bukhari and Muslim (the main popular books of Wahabi ideology) and believe in them and use those books to advertise Islam.

I am a half Sunni and Half Shia, those points you stated in the picture we don't have in our ideology. those are the Wahabi Islam believes.

Now OP, i hope you learn a bit more about Islamic history before you post bullshit.

"God Considers me the ideal man" - Mohammed

It's fucking genius! I wish I was alive ~2000 years ago and had this idea.

15

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

Here's what I've been scared of, maybe it's just the residual upbringing, but I've always been told "You have to love Mohammad more than anybody/anything in the world, including yourself and your parents, for you to be accepted into heaven"- then I realize how unbelievably big does the guy's ego has to be for him to say that to followers?

I always wondered how much money a person could make if they were a prominent atheist and then pretended to "see God and become X religion." Books, CDs, TV Series, you name it.

Religions and pedophilia - they go hand in hand ... a large hand & a small hand.

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

Actually, research has suggested that the number of reported sexual abuses per priest is actually a little less than the the total number of estimated sexual abuses of children per average adult male in the country. Assuming that the vast majority of child abuses by priests have already come to light, then it's quite possible that priests are actually slightly less likely to sexually abuse children.

Unless you can empirically prove that there are more priest abuses cases that we aren't aware of, then this priest bashing needs to stop instantly and should not be brought up as a valid criticism unless you can prove definitively that there are many more unreported rapes of children by priests.

7

u/RedHotBeef Jun 25 '12

So the massive institutional cover-up and abetting of these monsters isn't relevant? Nor is the fact that these individuals are trusted in their communities and supposed to represent the ideals of a moralistic religion?

Then again, what can I expect from someone who demands empirical evidence of things "we aren't aware of" and whose source for his facts is the word "research?"

1

u/joe_the_bartender Jun 25 '12

If you use the phrase "Actually,..." on reddit, you're gonna have a bad time.

5

u/TastyBrainMeats Jun 25 '12

The problem is that when priests are thought to be raping children, the church protects the priests. Doesn't report them to the police, doesn't inform the childrens' parents, just tries to move the priest to a different area - or at most, buys them off so they'll leave the priesthood quietly. At the very worst, if children report that the priest is molesting them, the church has the boys castrated.

No, that is not hyperbole. It is not gossip. It happened as recently as the '50s and it makes me wish that I had access to a nail-studded baseball bat and a time machine: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/21/world/europe/dutch-church-accused-of-castrating-10-young-men.html

That's why people are pissed at the churches, and why the Pope would, in a more just world, be sitting in a prison cell right this very instant.

(Also: [citation needed])

2

u/39423984723984792384 Jun 26 '12

Actually, research has suggested...

I don't believe this for one second. [CITATION REQUIRED]

pedophiles are naturally drawn to jobs where they get easy access to children, and there is no more easy access than priests have in religion.

also, considering the MASSIVE numbers of molestation exposed in the media, and the huge number of lawsuits against churches, and considering the population of priests is a tiny fraction of the total number of males in the general population, there's just NO WAY what you say could even be remotely accurate.

all you xtians are so eager to lie to defend your religion, especially in the exact polar opposite of the truth, that you NEED to publish your references, otherwise it's pretty safe to say that you're just another liar just making up statistics off the top of your head.

6

u/lazyanachronist Jun 25 '12

Because it's okay for priests to abuse children at the average rate?

Kindly go fuck yourself.

4

u/penguinofhonor Jun 25 '12

I'm perfectly fine with my teachers and soccer coaches having the average rate of child molestation as well. What, do you think that just because they're in a position of authority over children that we should expect more of them? That would be absurd.

-2

u/lazyanachronist Jun 25 '12

I don't know if you're a dumb fuck or trolling... I'll go with trolling, have an up vote.

1

u/u7zorot Jun 25 '12

No it´s not. What he´s trying to say is that only a minor part of priest resort to pedophilia.

1

u/letstakecontrol Jun 25 '12

What I find really funny is that he was most likely a catholic that wanted...wait for... empirical evidence for an argument. lol, hey believers, if you want proof, don't look to god for the answers.

0

u/lazyanachronist Jun 25 '12

He's saying that, but more importantly he's saying the average rate of priests that fuck children is slightly lower than the average number of adult males that fuck children, therefore we shouldn't bash priests for this. Which implies it's okay for priest to be average rate child fuckers.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

Priests are held at a different standard than the average male because they are, you know, the servants of God and whatnot. It makes you wonder what sort of God they really serve, if there is one.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

Nobody trusts your pedo sponsored data especially when the organization in. Question has repeatedly suppressed so much. Go peddle your apologetics elsewhere ENABLER.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

Not sure if that last all caps word is a valid critique, or if NAMBLA got autocorrected.

-3

u/Aehsxer Jun 25 '12

Part of why pedophiles love children so much is because their junk looks HUGE in such small hands!

Too much?

Too soon?

3

u/antonvowl Jun 25 '12

not funny enough?

2

u/WasingDoing Jun 25 '12

To be fair, sex with young girls was way more prevalent back then. Marrying a girl that age was also socially acceptable at the time. You guys aren't being very objective.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12 edited Jun 25 '12

This argument is actually an attack on the validity of the Qur'an, not an attack on Mohammed himself. The Qur'an is supposed to be the perfect representation of the literal word of God, a complete objective morality handed down through the angels and recorded by Mohammed, God's ideal human being. It doesn't matter what was socially acceptable at the time, God wouldn't change his mind about what is right and wrong. So the argument goes that either the Qur'an isn't the perfect word of God, or God doesn't mind people having sex with nine year old girls.

edit: Changed language a bit.

Why are you bashing any religion? Why are you trying to spread hate? You're doing exactly what you claim to hate about religion. Atheists like you are no better than any religious person spreading hate and waging war. You are literally trying to get a group of people to collectively start bashing another group of people who did not do anything to you. What is wrong with you?

18

u/Gs305 Jun 25 '12

"Hi, I'm a slacked jawed, bible thumping, yocal from Alabama. Gonna send this to all my friends. Thank you!" You see where I'm going with this?

21

u/pizzatuesdays Jun 25 '12

I think r/athiesm should make images mocking all Abrahamic religions so that no Christans, Jews, or Muslims can re-use the image on facebook and claim that their religion is better than the one depicted in the image.

Waging a war against religion is such an effective way to get rid of them, as evidenced by thousands of years of history!!

6

u/OneKindofFolks Jun 25 '12

This argument doesn't make ground against believers. I think attacking the current installation of Islam, the lack of authority that allows for populist movements based in combative jihad, and the gender roles enforced by Islam are much stronger points.

There are enough stories about Muhammad that show him as chaste to women he wasn't married to, it will be hard to paint him as a deviant in the eyes of Muslims.

Just my two cents.

A war for enlightenment is not a war but a bridge yet to be built for the blind.
