This is wrong on a couple levels. Even most theists would agree that the "weapons" part is just wrong. Right? ... please?

Not sure about that. The sword of the spirit springs to mind.

Yes, I agree. This is some ridiculous shit.

Don't make me beat you to death with a bible.

Reminds me of the S.T.O.R.M. Ministries logo that was floating around the other day. It's cute that they want to "toughen up" their image, when they're supposed to be founded on turning the other cheek.

This is a joke...it has to be a joke, right?...Right?!

Definitely not a joke. They have a facebook page for their ministry but I can't find a website.

Maybe it's good that you can't find the website, I'd prefer not to subject myself to anything beyond this picture, in regards to whatever idiocy brought this to reality.

Illegal? I mean it's stupid. But Illegal? I don't see why. There's no law against running around in a 1980s ex-SWAT truck with stupid writing on it.

But it is illegal to have it dressed as an official vehicle. You can't drive around an ex-cop car with its native colors in some states.

Exactly. These guys park on the side of a busy road and it's like any crime scene. Driver's turn their heads to get a glimpse. Also I feel it would suggest some sort of authority to the youth they are trying to minister to.

The phrase "Impersonating a police officer" springs to mind. Dressing your vehicle as a police van definitely breaks that law. I wouldn't be surprised if they get into trouble for that.

Yeah, because it would totally be acceptable in their community for a Muslim church to drive around in an Exterminator van.

If only because it's in extremely poor taste...

Is that a child's toy under the engine? Did this thing just run over a kid?

Sounds like a group of christians that fight the paranormal.

Why does spirituality need to be used as a weapon 0.o?

Heights of desperation!

I can't be the only who's worried they've got guns made of Bibles and crucifixes in there.

Jesus got packed for the zombie apocalypse!

In some states it is illegal, in most others it would be up to the interpretation of the officer and judge. Impersonating a police officer is a serious offence, different states just have different definitions of what's impersonating.

I like that this is legal, because it means we can make atheist vans and roll around teaching science in it.

Use technology and some magic school bus thing. Win over all of the children.

So should sirens in radio commercials!
