There's been more threads than I can count about this promo and asks from the community, so I figured I'd just make a stickied thread for it.
Any posts relating to that promotion will be removed moving forward, keep it in this thread.

New holiday hours im so confused!!
Hi everyone, I used to work 14.5 hours, but now I have a new contract that has been increased to 30 hours. Before I switched to my new contract, I had 9.25 hours of holiday left, and I've been told that this is also for my new contract. I thought I get more holiday hours to match my contract hours, but my manager said this isn't the case. Can someone give me more information about this?

Record breaking Tuesday (probably)
Today has been crazy for a Tuesday. So, so busy. Here's hoping tomorrow is nice and quiet for the "boycott".
Anyone else's shop been extra busy today?

Discussion Poultry
Hi. Any other stores experiencing poor availibility on poultry. Our shelves are practically empty despite PI correct and a gap scan being done every day. Cheers👍

Home delivery - bags not crates?
Had my Asda delivery earlier today, around 30 items including 2 pints of milk and two 2L bottles (I love the cherry cola but don't live close enough Asda' to just grab some so i get two bottles). I’ve ordered similar amounts before and never had an issue, but today it arrived in bags for life instead of crates.
The driver told me that I shouldn’t order so many bottles or they wouldn’t carry them up the stairs, or that I should order more to qualify for crates (which i presume by saying that means if it were in crates it would be fine to carry?).
I live in a third-floor flat with no lift, and I always leave a note saying to buzz up if they need a hand, which I completely fine with doing and I’m not blaming the driver or anything, just wondering if this is something new? Will I need to order more items to get crates from now on or was this just a one-off weird one?
I ordered through the Asda website as usual. The only difference was that I booked a Saver slot instead of a regular one.
thanks for the help! :)

Resignation
I've submitted my resignation on workday.
I will need a p45 to send my new employer. How long does that take.
Will it be with any outstanding pay?

Cleaners
Since moving over to BIDVEST it’s been nothing but a pain. Download apps, can’t log in. Eventually get in, locked out. Get an email saying password has been changed, not by me. Still can’t use tablet or work phone they’ve sent in. We’ve seen no one from the company. I’m not doing online courses on my personal phone in my own time.

Gift cards not available
Is there an issue with Asda online gift cards at the moment? I normally do my weekly shop with the scan and go handset, then I stand in one of the empty aisles and buy myself an ASDA gift card through my work rewards app, but today when you go on it says ASDA is unavailable and my husband tried his app which is supplied by a different company and as there is also unavailable on that?? Annoying as I spent £200 today and I normally would have got 3.5% off! It's not much in the grand scheme of things but every little helps.

What’s your advice for surviving a supermarket Christmas?
Christmas is coming, and anyone who has worked a supermarket December knows it’s a different job from the rest of the year.
So, a question for the people who have actually been through it: what’s your advice for getting through a Christmas shift?
Could be for colleagues (what to eat, what to wear, what to never say yes to) or for customers (when not to come in, what not to ask on Christmas Eve, how to make the person on the till smile).
And if you have one Christmas shift you still talk about years later, the longest, the busiest or the strangest, share that too.
No need to name your store or colleagues. It’s the story we’re interested in, not who was involved.

Asda takes 15% discounts from 3rd party operated DC's
Heard a rumour the 15% Asda discount is being taken away from GXO and DP world colleagues who work at Asda distribution centres at Doncaster & Rochdale.
Heard a driver saying it ends on 1/1/27.
These people do exactly the same job as other Asda depot workers employed by Asda but these are outsourced on lower pay & conditions.
Things must be bad if they are resorting to measures like this.

Stock Levels
Hi,
I work at Asda now as a Night Manager and I’ve only been within the company for a week. Going through training and I was wondering is there a way to view stock levels off the back office computer rather than a TC?
Thank you

How are breaks calculated on night shift
So next week I'm doing a 6pm - 4am shift to help land Christmas.
10 hour shift. Meaning that I'll get an hour's unpaid break.
Does my hour's unpaid break come out of my night shift pay, or my standard pay.
Base pay will be £13.10 * 9 for £117.90, but then for my night shift premium, will I get three hours of premium or four?
To give some context I'm a budgeting nerd and I like to have all my shifts in a spreadsheet, hence I want to know what portion of my shift the break will be taken from.
Yes, there are probably more important things I could be doing with my life than figuring out if I'll be getting an extra £2.54 (£1.83 after tax and NI), but I'd still like to know nonetheless.
