This gonna be my first time actually watching my favorite anime of all time while its airing since I binged all of it back in 2020. Feels really surreal lol.

Opening with Tsukihi arc is honestly just a great answer to the obvious question "is there a point to more Monogatari?"

Yeah, like this. Tsukihi is one of biggest unresolved threads from past seasons, and also one of insane potential. For a show that's so much about character development, a girl who can't have character growth (and can't have a haircut, coincidentally) is just an incredible challenge. Really excited to see where this all foreshadowing goes.

It still somehow doesn´t compute to me that I live in world where I can watch a part of the Monogatari Series as it is airing. I first started watching it shortly after Zoku Owarimonogatari had finished, it immediately became one of my favorites, and I´ve since then just accepted it as a completed story. Yet here I am, watching new Monogatari content and it´s absolutely glorious.

Do we know how many episodes it´s going to be?

Hearing about Tsukihi "healing her trauma" by forgetting kinda made me sad. It's fitting for the immortal living in the present phoenix, but that means she will never grow, she will always be in this happy-go-lucky state. If Koyomi or her parents would die, would she even be sad or just forget about them and carry on? It's like abuse victims dissociating themselves.

I was having so much fun that I didn't even realize how far along the episode had gotten and was promptly hit with the credits!

5 years since Zoku and 15 years since Bake. Glad we're watching another season of Monogatari. Peak is back.

Ononoki got caught again? Hope she doesn't experience some kind of endless eight lol

Sometimes you just need SHAFT to flex those animation muscles to let everyone else know what peak storytelling visuals are.

Nothing makes me happier than looking forward to another episode!

Straight to the top we go again!
