I love Raquel and Daisy so much, and I hope that next year they do a Kirsten-related doll! Ive commented before that if there is a Kirsten related GOTY, I hope that she is half Swedish and half Dakota and lives in Minnesota. I decided to draw a little concept for what I hope she could look like + what her accessories pack could include (kirstens necklace, a hat inspired by her bonnet, and a Dakota-inspired bag)! I've been working on this Addy-themed gallery wall for the past few months, and I think it's finally starting to come together. It's not 100% finished yet; I'm thinking about adding a star or mini pendant garland along the bottom, or maybe even chair railing and I'd love to hear what you think.

I know it's not 100% perfect, but I think it tells her story visually. Addy is the culmination of so many of my favorite things: historical stories told from the perspective of Black women and children, art, and literature. I view her as a way to pay respect to the ancestors and to provide the love, care, and attentiveness that so many of them were never able to receive in this realm.

Every American girl characters from historical, girl of the year and contemporary lines by state. Unfortunately could not include the WBU girls and Isabelle in DC because it wouldn't let me mark it.

I finally finished making Addy’s baby sister Esther!! I found a little bitty baby outfit on etsy that looked just like felicity’s summer dress so of course i had to get them matching outfits. I also made her a little matching necklace and pierced her ears to match Addy. I’m so so happy with how she turned out!!!

This past weekend, I took Courtney to Field of Vision, a music festival in Colorado! I made her a special King Gizzard sweatshirt, and she got a ton of compliments! She also had a wonderful car camping setup.

My CYO arrived, I've named her Addison and I'm so happy with her. She's not a mini me, since I already have Kaya, for that. I just really wanted an Addy mold with gray eyes and freckles. I will say that I had to warm up to her when I first unboxed her, because her face was slimmer than I expected. I guess I got too use to looking at the chubbier pleasant company Addy dolls. But now I'm use to it and love her. I can't wait to get a bunch of outfits to dress her up in.

This is one of my fur children, Athena. She didn’t take kindly to being told this bed wasn’t for her! 😹
