Buenas, quería preguntar a los alicantinos que opinión tienen del barrio Villafranqueza (la parte del núcleo urbano en si) para vivir.

He preguntado algún amigo y me ha dado bastante malas perspectivas. No nivel Juan XXIII o Virgen del Remedio, pero ¿medio cerca? ¿Creéis que es tan así o mala fama mal ganada?

He visto que apenas hay supermercados. Y que de transporte publico hay solo una línea 13 (con 13N), ¿Que tal es?

Sobre todo pregunto por vivir, teniendo en cuenta que la ven como barrio dormitorio con poca vida (lo cual no es malo en si, depende del momento vital de cada persona) y quejas de su mala conexión con la ciudad.

I am looking for a room or apartment in Alicante for 2 nights in mid-November. My only requirement is a private room with a private bathroom.

I'll be visiting alicante soon and would like to take some no gi classes. Gracie Barra would be the closest (therefore convenient) anybody got experience there? Alternative would be an 30 min ride to Nexus.

Hola! He venido a Alicante (San Vicente) a estudiar un año desde Cantabria. Toco la guitarra y el bajo y estoy empezando a echarlo de menos. Hope this is okay to post here! I'm planning a solo Christmas this year and am seriously considering Alicante. It looks absolutely stunning, and the history alone makes me want to visit.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's spent Christmas there, travelled solo, or lives locally. What's it like over Christmas? Are there any places you'd recommend visiting, hidden gems, or things you think are an absolute must?

I need your help!!! We were royally scammed by a British guy who works at Europcar in Alicante airport. We had booked a car for 350 euros and pickup was at the airport. We landed, and he said “oh you booked from an American website” we found that funny as we booked from our company account on europcar.com”! He said “I don’t know but because it’s an American site, you won’t have insurance, if something happens you’ll have to pay the amount as much as a new car” so we asked for options and he said he can cancel the booking, book it under my name and price difference was 100 euros cheaper than original booking.”
We agreed and that’s it. Now we got back from our trip after 10 days and they charged us 850 euros!!!!!!! That’s 500 more. Problem is we signed without scrolling to check the invoice.

Anyone know this guy? Did the same happen to anyone?
