Watching Ethan for the first time on Frenemies, I remember feeling like something was off about him and that he just wasn’t a good person.

Anyone else feel like there’s nothing to watch on YouTube anymore? Around like 5 years ago, I’d open YouTube and have a full page of videos I wanted to watch every single day. Now there’s like 3-4 creators who I watch but they only upload once a week.

Back then I’d be a fan of so many creators, being excited for them to upload, but now there’s pretty much no one on YouTube who I’d genuinely be a fan of.

I open YouTube everyday, and I see the same videos on my feed, I can refresh the page etc it doesn’t show different videos.
YouTube now is mostly documentaries/educational videos/tech etc.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I don’t want to see the ad and it has showed up 3 times. Each time I block the ad etc but it showed up again

Why does the algorithm have to be so sensitive

This layout is pure trash

I have a lot of gripes with the old UI but at least it was relatively easy to find videos I WANTED to watch and discover new videos and channel. But this new interface is pure garbage. I hope people will review bomb the app and let the team at google know.

Youtube premium is the only streaming subscription I have and find worth the money simply because the amount of information I consume on it. If these UI changes don’t get reinstated, I might actually cancel my subscription because the app is unusable I might as well open a browser and use adblock.

Dear YouTube UI team, the category thing was a really good idea. I like being able to have my different interests compartmentalized in an easy to find way. I notice you’ve brought it back, awesome.

Stop touching the screen or I will freak out. You create categories, you take them away. Again and again. I’m sick of it. Are you bored??? Are you trying to look busy??? Do you just enjoy the small amount of power the UI changes grant you? The power to upset people the world over with these asinine back and forths? Do you go to sleep satisfied at night knowing you’ve made yet another UI change that will trigger the masses? Are you happy with what you do? When you graduated with your degree from UX/UI school did you think, “I can’t wait to make minute changes to the same webpage back and forth forever”. That couldn’t have been your dream. Deep down I know you’re better that. You know you’re better than that.

Please. I am on my knees. Stop changing the UI. Stop. Changing. The UI. Please don’t take categories away again. Please. This is getting ridiculous. Every single day I am living in fear because I don’t know if it’s the day my organized YouTube feed becomes a jumble of mishmashed content. It was a good idea the categories. Please just keep it and stop torturing me and everyone else. Or make it an optional setting fuck it idk. Please.

Idk what intern messed up or who thought it was a wise idea but everything that made yt what it is has been vanquished from the app. Genuinely horrible design. Would have been better to hire a 2 year old.

Every class I've been in uses the site for some reason. Interesting short science videos, days of the week songs during morning meetings, movement breaks, story book readings.

Why do the students have to sit through unskippable political ads about abortion in elementary school??

But of course they made sure to keep Shorts it’s own button. Any why is there a dedicated upload button on mobile? Which creators are regularly uploading their content from mobile

If anybody has the same issue where you open a video and the wheel spins for 3 seconds before loading try this:

Click on uBlock, go into settings, then to the 2nd tab called 'Filter lists' and find the Misc section towards the bottom. Then check 'uBlock filters – Experimental'.

what is this and why is YT doing NOTHING about these ads, yet they mark adult videos as ”for kids”

The mobile applications UI/UX stinks, Shorts suck and cannot be completely hidden or avoided, the dislikes are gone, seemingly the likes count too, the algorithm is beyond stupid, and you’re not doing enough to combat AI slop content.

The only thing positive about this platform is the content there uploaded by awesome people over the years.

I want this company to burn into the ground.
