Hello, I need some input and maybe some hyping up? I got my dress made from another country and just picked it up today. I feel like it turned out a bit different from how I imagined it to look like. I look a little too… straight? Am I just overthinking this?

i tried on dresses at BHLDN and just did it for the experience, wasn’t really expecting to love anything. this is my very first time trying. i fell in love with this first dress but just want to hear others opinions! added some others at the end that i liked but didnt love as much.

It was supposed to be fun and happy. It was everything but. My mom has her own small wedding dress show in our town and she is unhappy that I didn’t get a dress from her. First she made me feel guilty and now she is making me doubt the dress that I bought (with my own money). I am so sad.

The dress will be made for me from two designs - corset top and lace pattern from dress 2 and the dress shape from dress 1. I was so happy when I made the decision, I told my fiance. And then my mother called and asked if I bought it. I said yes. She said that she thinks the dress will overpower me and turn attention from me. She says I should have selected a plain white dress without lace, that everyone is buying lace now. Now I am doubting my decision and maybe I bought it too fast. Did I make a mistake? Is the dress wrong for me?

I am very short, 152cm and overall petite. I have light blonde hair. The wedding will be outdoor in a garden and wedding party in a red brick building. My fiance is 45cm taller than me, I worry that I will look funny - small and wide in a big dress next to him.

I went wedding dress shopping this weekend and immediately fell in love with this dress. It was the first one I tried on, and even though I tried on several others, I kept coming back to it. I ended up canceling my second bridal appointment and buying it on the spot. Now I’m home and worrying that the lace is too much. My wedding isn’t for another year, so I have a long time to stress. Do y’all like it?

I sought a lot of advice (and vented) in this sub, so I want to share how my big day went - absolutely perfectly! In the end, I decided to keep my off-the-shoulder straps but made them detachable for dancing, and I went with a 9-point French bustle. I lost weight and dropped 2-3 dress sizes since ordering my dress, so my seamstress did an amazing job!

My only regret is not getting veil weights since it was windy that day.

The dress is the (now discontinued) Maggie Sottero Zinaida Marie.

Would I be able to just show a photo to a consultant and they find me one like this? I honestly have no idea how this process works. Do I find wedding dress shops in my area? Do people travel, or is that too much?

so the second image is when i picked out my dress, they told me it was going to come exactly as i tried it on, so you can imagine my surprise when i pick it up and the whites are different (see first photo).... my wedding is in two weeks and there's no changing it now, and i know i might be being completely ridiculous (can anyone really tell the difference between ivory and white?) but i'm starting to freak out and dread wearing my dress.

does anyone have any advice on how i can just buck up and be happy?

I’ve posted here a few times with my ongoing dress saga of not liking my first dress and then my second dress being SO small when it came in and then alterations. I really love this dress, but am very hesitant to drop ~$800 on a dress that I can't return (they only allow exchanges on international orders).

First dress I tried on! I tried on about 15 dresses in total & they really meant it when they say when you know you know… 😆

Struggling so bad both are so beautiful. First one is so fantasy for me and different and I love the draping and the lengthened corset and waist it’s so romantic. It does need alterations for the neck line and corsetting for the back. The second one has gorgeous draping and more simple and shows my figure more. This is a small wedding of around ~36 people, so part of me feels unrealistic to go for an artistic dress like the first one. Really struggling bc close friends are also split nearly evenly.

I got engaged this summer, and am getting married next year at a winery in late September! In the region it's typically more dry/warm, so should be between 15°C - 20°C (59°F - 68°F).

I tried on wedding dresses for the first time this weekend. I went to 4 stores and tried on about 40 dresses. I found 5 that I think are really beautiful, but I don't know if I've already found my dress, or if maybe I need to try on a few more.

I'd love to hear if any are standouts from this batch, or if you think I need to go try on more :)

Edit: It seems like 5, 3, & 1 were the most popular, with 5 being the big winner, but there seemed to be lots of love for the dresses overall. I do think 5 is so beautiful, but not sure it's quite me.

Doing some reflecting, I think I see myself in either 1, 2, & 3. My plan is to do a second visit to both stores and see how it lands the second time.

Venue is Central Park. First dress would be lined with no plunge and the second dress I would just want to make the train longer.

The first dress is what I was imagining and the train is stunning. The second dress is something different and the top and bodice are gorgeous and the design on the back of the train is also stunning.

I have been to numerous bridal shops and have narrowed it down to these two. Please help!!

Wedding was down in gateway co. Everything was perfect! My ceremony dress was Saint and my reception dress was the crop top two pc from grace loves lace. I ended up wining GLL dress!

I felt like a romantasy character in my corset and glittery veil.

The day went by so fast!

I didn’t have a clear idea in my head of what I wanted, but I knew I wanted a vintage dress. I saw a dress with matching cape online and I fell in love with the idea of a cape instead of a veil, but knew chances were slim of finding something like that at a vintage bridal store near me. Fate was on my side however and I found this caped gown in the first store I went to. Did a little happy dance when I tried it on and knew it was mine!

I know it’s not everyone’s taste, but please be nice!

Picture 1&2 - The veil I bought. The stylist recommended this one as it has a lot of volume that matches the fullness of the dress and hits right at the waist. I fell in love with the sorta vintage look a short veil gives and also feel like I’ll be over stimulated with a long veil.

I hardly see any inspo photos of short veils and I’m starting to second guess my choice. I didn’t do a ton of research and just wanted to pick a veil so I didn’t have to think about it anymore. But im worried it’s going to look too small with my dress and I’ll regret it looking back at photos

More than anything I think I was just having some body insecurity. I got my dress altered in the spots it needed and everyone’s kind words on this sub helped alleviate my cold feet, so thank you so much❤️

While I was in Stockholm visiting family I went to a bridal shop to try on some dresses and absolutely fell in love with the Iris dress from Serene by Madi Lane. I did not fall in love with the price however and unfortunately I dont live in Sweden anymore so it wouldnt be practical to buy it. I managed to find it on a website for used dresses for only 40% of the price and in great condition. The seller also happened to live close enough for an in-person sale! Pictures 1-3 are from the shop and picture 4 is my dress. Of course I will need alterations but pretty minor. Im so happy how this came together!
