Rant/Vent boycott natser!

today supposed to be the mural project but they moved the scheduled date due to the weather. however, they made another project to alter the supposed to be project where we are required to be on onsite. HOWEVER… today, we just witnessed that we’re not supposed to be on hyflex since the project today is “more complex” and apc won’t cancel the class until there are suspension announcement from the LGU or Malacañang Place. It’s just not everyone is near to APC or rather there are people are experiencing floodings. It really shows that there is no empathy from that professor. We’re all sharing the same weather, what’s stopping you from allowing us attend online due to the weather? some of us are not privileged enough to be onsite, we don’t have cars to be not bothered by the weather. AND NOW, you’re gonna decide that we’re shifting to online set up “due to the weather” ehhh parang earlier, you’re encouraging us to be onsite then biglang ganon. it’s just a BANDAID SOLUTION!

Hi. We’re trying to gather any videos, photos, or witnesses from earlier during the Rams Night

There was an incident involving a Grade 12 male student from ABM who repeatedly punched multiple people, including female students and a female outsider on the face. If you were there and saw what happened or were recording during that time, we’re asking for your help.

If you have anything like videos or photos, please DM me. Any help is appreciated.

Rant/Vent this problematic guy from bmma batch 25 (spreading awareness)

i was in a relationship with this guy for almost 5 months. i thought that all was well until recently.

back when he and i were friends, he used to tell me how he was into way older women (as he wanted a motherly figure in his life since he had mom issues).

in anyway he told me of his past and everything, he promised to make things work with me—i also told him of my past and how it deeply haunted me. in anyway, we both decided to make it work after he confessed to me. i also became very supportive of him in his endeavors as he wanted to start his own org (which i heard is very new and active and he now he runs and is the head of it).

everything was fine, although obviously we’d have our ups and downs as i had severe trust issues and he was very anxious. despite our differences and flaws, we still tried to make it work and i guess that was all that mattered to me because i loved him more than anything in the world and i thought for once that maybe love could still be real despite what i went through.

fast forward a couple months (august 28), i ended up finding out he was cheating on me with his crippling 🌽 addiction and had a really odd fetish for way older women getting with younger boys sexually (which is so parasocial and pdfilic). he admitted everything to me out of his guilt, and it hurt like hell—i still tried to make it work and understand where he was coming from despite it all.

i began telling him about how fucked up it was (how he liked the idea of way older women and younger boys since we all knew if the roles were also reversed—it’d be fucked up too). he idealized and limited older women into “motherly / caring figures” though we all know that wouldn’t be universally true; as majority just end up being gr00med and pr3yed on, simply pr3dat0ry and pdfilic. i thought that i’d convinced him well enough for him to stop thinking that way, as it was incredibly disgusting—but i guess not. his sick pdfilic fetish and unrealistic views won.

he still continued to seek out way older women despite having me, continued to find attraction in his pdfilic and parasocial ways—to the point where i began seeing him as emotionally ab*sive for gaining my trust only for him to just do that to me knowing what i also went through (i dont know if its valid of me to even feel that). that’s when i decided that i couldn’t love him anymore, and that i just had to let go despite it all.

i hope no ones goes through what i did, i hope no ones feels the way i felt with this guy, i felt used in someway too as he continued to do the deed with me despite seeking out way older women even when we were together.

i just wanted to let this out of my chest because i really didn’t know who to speak to about this, and i feel ashamed and disgusted of myself. i also don’t think anyone would want to listen to what i had to put up with. he also owes me over 2k too. fucked.

in the bitter end, even when i know that the love he claimed he had for me wasn’t true at all—i wish i was still seen as a person too. not just someone he wanted comfort and s*x from and then after he’d just look for some random old woman to get off to and fill his pdfilic, parasocial desires.

update: he has more victims and not just me, he also apparently hit one of his exes before me.

i’m a freshman and oh my DAYS bro this guy is driving me up the damn wall

aside from this dude interrupting students in the middle of their presentations and ruining their flow of speaking, shaming students who choose to attend class via hyflex, and belittling students for something as little as their answer to his question for attendance, this guy just keeps getting Worse 😭

i dunno what his deal is or why he’s so rude sometimes, i genuinely thought he was just a strict professor who wants to see us succeed which is why he’s so harsh on us, but his character really is kind of a bully and critiques every little detail like it’s personal

we have this persuasive speech coming up and he said that we were ENCOURAGED to create ppts for it, so i thought that we’d have the freedom to pick whether or not to make a ppt but NAAHHH it’s apparently REQUIRED!!!!!!! “encourage” is not the same thing as “required” my guy!!!! it’s even in the transcript/class recording yet all he did was try to switch his words up n blamed the student who asked him for not attending onsite

how do i survive this prof. Pls. Sos. HELP

Lol to those students making (love out) xes in the 11th-floor restroom, please be considerate. This is a school, not a private motel. It’s honestly so disrespectful that people outside the restroom could hear what was happening. Have some decency and remember that you’re in a school where other students and staff are around. Seriously, do better.

So ano ba talaga ang gusto nyo?

Criticize the policy if you want. Question the administration if you must. But blaming the very person who tried to make the situation work despite the circumstances is simply pointing at the wrong target. Sana maintindihan nyo, mga redditors na iyaken

bruh. so let me understand this correctly. we're all college students, we're all given the same instructions, same deadline, same fucking project, and somehow group work always turns into one person actually organizing everything, one person barely responding, and one person appearing 2 hours before the deadline asking “ano gagawin ko?” like bro, nobody expects you to be perfect or to know everything, but PLEASE just communicate. if you’re busy, say you're busy. if you don’t understand, ask. if you can’t finish your part, tell us early. THAT'S IT. what pisses me off is when someone says “ako na bahala” and then disappears into the fucking void, only to come back when the output is basically done. we're supposed to be working as a group, not waiting for someone else to carry us. college is literally supposed to teach us independence, accountability, and how to work with other people, so why the fuck are some people treating group projects like they're optional side quests!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if your part takes 10 minutes or 10 hours, just fucking contribute and communicate. because at some point, it's not “I didn't know what to do,” you dumb ahh shit

Hello! I'm a freshman and I was wondering about this... individual.

Do they always scold and talk that way to everyone who attends online class? Because I watched them humiliate one of my classmates for having trouble with their microphone for like a solid few minutes. It got to the point that it just felt... uncomfortable to watch. He kept looking at us like we would side with him or whatever. But it was just unfair for me since I (and to an extent, everyone) didn't even know their situation on why they opted to go online in the first place. Yet, there they were. Talking like that to the online attendee.

I thought they were a fun and cheerful prof at first but, for some reason I've been getting some off-putting vibes from them as the weeks pass.

Has it always been like this? Is it like... normal here?

Rant/Vent "it's better to cheat than repeat" 🤡

I guess cheaters really do live and die by this quote, especially when you pick a program you’re not even willing to put the actual work into.

I mean, who actually wants to get delayed even further after failing a subject, right? Especially in Accountancy. Failing just ONE major subject is basically an automatic +1 year here in APC. That's why others have shifted to different programs or moved schools.

We have this specific subject that’s theory-based, but it’s honestly brutal because the exams aren't just simple definition of terms. It’s heavy on analysis, where every single choice literally looks either all right or all wrong. We all knew something was fishy because the exam questions were nowhere to be found in the textbook or the PPTs, yet somehow, a certain group was out here scoring technically perfect.

Before anyone says "maybe they just found extra resources online" or "maybe they're using a different book" or even "maybe they are just studying harder", heck no. There was literally a firsthand witness who saw them in the act. Plus, this specific group has been looking super sus for a while now. In fact, another prof even made them sit in the very front row. Shoutout to that prof for not turning a blind eye to cheating—he literally makes us surrender our phones before every quiz or major exam now. Not all profs do that! Why did he start doing it? Because he actually observed the misconduct himself. Honestly, I just wish he escalated it straight to the Disciplinary Office (DO), but maybe he felt bad/pitied them. But in the exam I was talking about, the professor was roaming from time to time, but when he wasn't looking or was going to the bathroom, they struck their plan.

And if you’re wondering how they even cheated: basically, this one guy was the main answer source. They think they’re so smooth and uncatchable, but you can literally feel the shifty vibe behind you and even hear them whispering mid-exam. He’d hide his phone under his hoodie, take pictures of the exam pages, and keep raising his test paper slightly to cover it, then lower it every now and then. The only course of action from profs so far is making everyone surrender phones and proctoring a bit tighter, but that’s literally it.

I really hope someone from the Accountancy faculty reads this. Please, BE STRICTER with stuff like this because it’s beyond unfair to those of us who actually study our asses off. I’m completely fine with getting an average grade as long as I know I earned it honestly. I’d literally rather fail with integrity than pass knowing I cheated my way through.

I honestly debated posting this for a week because I didn't want to drag our program's name but come on. We are literally studying the Code of Ethics, and y'all are already acting like this as undergrads? Future corrupt politicians/officials of this country for sure.

Rant/Vent GE LEAPS IS A SCAM!

Hi everyone,

I’ve put together some thoughts regarding the recent GE LEAPS sessions. I wanted to express my concerns as civilly and clearly as possible, so I’ve written them out in an essay format. I would truly appreciate it if you could take the time to read this.

----------------

GE LEAPS has become a scam. Since when did this "enrichment" become an academic burden to us?

GE LEAPS was designed to supplement our learning, but it has increasingly become a source of burnout rather than growth. While the initiative to help the country through content creation is noble, the execution of the most recent GE LEAPS has proven to be demanding, disorganized, and ultimately detrimental to the student body’s well-being.

First, I want to point out the logistical failures and lack of incentives. If students are required to participate in day-long workshops, there should be a basic standard of respect for their time and comfort. The recent session was marred by extreme heat and significant delays; students were required to arrive early, only for the event to start much later than scheduled. Furthermore, despite the energy and time invested in these "seminars," students receive no formal credentials or certifications. We are essentially sacrificing our academic hours for workshops that offer no tangible addition to our professional portfolios.

The most grueling aspect of GE LEAPS is its total disregard for the student schedule. Wednesday is traditionally considered a "breather" day for us—a crucial window to rest and catch up on demanding major subjects. By turning this into a mandatory, whole-day seminar, it is effectively stripping us of our ability to manage our primary workload.

The workshop requirements have also become absurdly demanding. Expecting a polished, high-quality video production for a competition with only three-days to work on it (May 7–9) and a May 11 deadline is unreasonable. I hate to say this, but even Ms. Izza would never! (This is just an expression; I apologize for dragging your name into this). Even the strictest professors like her understand that quality presentations require adequate time. To expect students to produce "major-level" output in less than a week—while ignoring the fact that Sundays and Wednesdays are reserved for rest and core subjects—is out of touch with the reality of our student life. And don't even start with "time management," because I manage my time very well.

GE LEAPS is meant to cover our General Education subjects, yet the connection is becoming increasingly tenuous. While one could argue there is a link between content creation and SCITECS, how does filmmaking technique align with subjects like MATWORL?

We recognize and appreciate that one of the intended incentives of GE LEAPS is the offset classes. Being given the flexibility of an off-site day is a gesture we value. However, if we are skipping our regular classes for seminars that hand out assignments, shouldn't the content of said assignment must be directly relevant or at least close to the modules we are missing or currently taking. For instance, in SCITECS, our curriculum indicates we should be discussing "Biotechnology and Society." Instead, those essential lessons are sidelined for weekly seminars that feel more like a stunt a politician would pull to garner votes.

If our GE classes are consistently replaced by sessions that have no correlation to the subject matter, it creates a serious academic gap. While learning filming techniques is a useful skill, it bears no relation to the logical foundations of MATWORL. If we skip fundamental lessons every week in favor of unrelated workshops, it begs the question: why do these subjects/courses even exist in our curriculum? Why are we even paying for a specific education that we are not receiving because the curriculum is being sidelined for "add-on" content.

The topics presented at GE LEAPS are often rich and helpful. But they exist in the lives of exhausted students who are trying to balance complex major subjects and mental health. When a supplement becomes more demanding than the core subject, it is no longer "enrichment"—it is a scam. GE LEAPS needs to be reassessed, restructured, or stopped entirely before it further compromises our academic focus.

P.S. Idk why, but that assignment really triggered something in me, why such a short deadline? Not to mention, they made me wake up at 5:00 AM and scared us into thinking we wouldn't get credit for attendance, only for the event to be late and the venue to be tediously hot. Haha, life, I guess. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll keep an open mind.

Rant/Vent You’ll Eventually Become Part of the Problem

Not to sound like an asshole, but to the SHS/freshies/frosh complaining about every little thing, you guys will eventually become part of the same problem you’re complaining about.

I was the same when I first started. Matino ako, innocent, and I followed everything. Then after being here for years, mabobored ka, you loosen up, and eventually you start doing the same shit you used to complain about. Like, some of the things people are ranting about are genuinely not that deep. Example yung mga nag rround trips? You seriously don’t think someone could have forgotten something in a room and just taken the shuttle back? Or may nakalimutan sa ibang floor, so babalik ka? That’s normal shit.

Same with a lot of the other complaints. I’m not saying rules shouldn’t exist or that people should break them. I’m saying not every minor inconvenience needs to become a Reddit exposé. Some of this shit happens everywhere in society, not just in APC. And that’s the funny part. You might be complaining about someone today, then a year or two from now you’ll probably be doing the exact same thing without even thinking about it. You’ll eventually realise that APC isn’t some isolated bubble where everyone is supposed to behave perfectly. You’re dealing with normal people, normal habits, and normal bullshit.

So yeah, complain when something actually matters. But if your rant is about every little thing people do, eventually you’re going to look back and realise, “Oh shit, I became the person I was complaining about.”

alam mo, sir 🦖

hope you see this because I genuinely respected you at the start. I knew you were someone who actually wanted your students to do better and improve. I genuinely liked the things you've taught us, and yes, purpcom can actually be fun.

but the way you teach and handle your students' performance? sobrang nakaka-discourage.

sobrang dami kong naririnig na nagrereklamo about the grades you've been giving people. tangina, even me. people have been working their asses off just to pass your subject, only to receive grades that don't even seem to reflect the effort they've put in. like, are we actually being graded based on our work, or what?

I personally know people who deserved so much better, including people you barely even seem to notice. and let's be real, the favoritism is hard to ignore 😂. you're a professor, sir, not a high school teacher. your students deserve fairness and grades that actually reflect their work, regardless of whether they're your favorites or not

and that's honestly the most disappointing part. I genuinely thought you wanted your students to grow, but sometimes, the way you handle your class does the complete opposite. you can push your students to do better without making them feel like all their hard work means nothing

I know this is your last year here at apc, so despite everything, I still hope you have a good life. no hard feelings, but I really hope you reflect on how you've handled your students because, at the end of the day, we're here to learn, not to feel discouraged from even trying

wishing you well, sir 🦖

There are a lot of perverts in our school. Many girls including me constantly catch boys staring at our private parts and bodies in a sexual way. It is obvious, gross, and disgusting. This keeps happening in APC like its normal. Whats worse is the disciplinary office does almost nothing. When girls report it, instead of punishing the creeps, they blame us and say we should fix our clothes or dress more appropriately. That is pure victim-blaming and incompetence. They would rather protect the boys, especially those with status like some varsity players, than actually do their job and hold them accountable.

Some girls remove jackets or outer layers because the campus is hot, the ac doesn’t produce much cold air these past few months, and common areas are uncomfortable. But even when girls are fully covered, these same boys still stare. So clearly, the problem is not the clothes. The problem is the perverts and the useless system that keeps enabling them. And honestly, am I the only one noticing how ineffective the disciplinary office is? If complaints keep piling up and nothing changes, then what exactly are they doing there? If ganito ang nangyayari sa school and nothing is being done, then yes, do we really have to bring this to the board or even report it to CHED cause our reports keep getting ignored. Sometimes when we show proof of what happened, they refuse to use it because they say there was no consent from the person involved.

So how are students supposed to prove that these people were doing it if the school itself refuses to accept evidence and keeps hiding behind “privacy rights”? That is so messed up. Instead of protecting students who report harassment, they make it harder to report and easier for offenders to keep going. If complaints keep piling up and nothing changes, then clearly the system is broken. At that point, escalating it to higher administration, the board, or CHED becomes necessary because students deserve an environment that is safe, not one that protects creeps and ignores victims.
