Are my stats enough for vassar?
Hi, I’m a senior with a 3.8 unweighted and a 4.5 weight gpa. I will have taken 7 AP’s by the end of senior year (4 this year alone), and have taken honors classes as well. I have maintained A’s and B’s throughout high school, and straight A’s my junior year.
I am a member of NHS, photography manager of the yearbook club, president of the photography club, judicial counselor for the YAG program, and member of the medicine club. I’ve taken private trumpet lessons for 5 years, am first chair in my schools symphonic band (that also doubles as a marching band), first chair for the school music last year, and participated in NYSMA twice doing level 5 and 6. I also have worked every summer and am working my senior year.
I have received the AP scholar award, civic seal, expected to get the seal of biliteracy, and got a silver key in the scholastic art and writing competition for photography.
I want to study biomedical research and engineering, with a specific interest in the diagnostic process for complex chronic illnesses. I wrote my personal statement on how having chronic illnesses has changed my life and made me want to pursue this career.
What is my likelihood of getting accepted into Vassar? I really want to go but I’m not sure if my stats are enough.
