Managed to find this fine specimen. Been looking for a new one for over 1.5 years and scored last week.

Picked it up today at my LGS, lubed it and put a quick 50 downrange. Outstanding!!

I own a USP 9. Looking at buying the rugged obsidian. Trying to decide whether to buy the 45 or the 9.

I might get a 45 Cal in the future, but I’m just wondering if anybody has any real world experience with whether the sound reduction is all that worth it from the 9 to 45.

Are the ledges on the left side of the magazines considered over-insertion tabs to prevent damage to the extractor? If that's the case, is there a risk of running JF mags without the funnel attached?

Recently upgraded from the GG&G adapter to the Mr. Nein and it's clearly superior in every way. Better fit and finish with zero play anywhere, shows no sag, and it just looks and feels better in the hand as well as on the gun.

Many thanks to u/Jodo-Kast at MachineCraft for making the absolute best product among the few options in the field. You immediately have another satisfied customer, and I'll definitely be picking up another whenever I find my next USP.

By the way, for those on the fence between GG&G or MachineCraft, when I removed the GG&G it had a broken screw that I certainly installed correctly and torqued to their exact spec. That's definitely not "just as good," and shows that there's a reason for the price difference.

So the HK P10s were supposed to be coming in Q3-Q4. Well, we are now into Q4 and so far my very reputable LGS (which is also an HK Premium shop) has heard nary a peep. Anyone else got some deets to share? I want mine so bad...

Just got in the new 2026 run of ODG USP pistols from Rooftop Defense. Here I've got it with the Lipsey's run of the FDE USP .45 Expert

I'm excited to now have a full size threaded slide to suppress with the BT MK23 silencer and the Rugged Obsidian45.

Definitely looking at upgrading at least the front sight with something Tritium though, the black on black sights are really lacking for such a capable pistol. Potentially might even get one of the slides cut for a red dot down the line.

I'm excited to have what I understand to be 1 of 250 of these rare ODG framed guns from the 2026 run and 1 of 500 of the FDE/Tan Experts. Thanks u/RooftopDefense for lining these up!

New Tactical compared to the 2004 Fullsize. Want to replace the blank adjustable sights eventually.

Added some Trijicon HDs, the extended mag catch and converted to decock only with a new control lever.
