Holiday beers
Had a few days in Zagreb, Croatia great selection of lagers in the shops. Paulaner was nicest and Becks the worst. Excuse the carlsberg but it is 5%

For anyone who orders alcohol-free beer, what matters most: a proper bitter finish, body, a less sweet flavour, or having it served on draught rather than in a bottle?
Also curious whether pubs near you offer a real choice or just one option. Which styles work best without the alcohol, and which still tend to disappoint?

This is a nice one. Although could probably do with more coconut for my tastes.

I fully expect daft/sarcy answers lol but i cant have a single poretti without a banging headache. Even a shandy of it last night gave me a headache.
My town’s main rock venue has that or red stripe or soft drinks.
Some bottle caps are just random ones I liked, marked in red. If you know a small independent brewery that I can order online from to complete my map I'd appreciate it.
I've ordered quite a lot and just had plane caps.

Firstly I'd like to hold my hands up. I didn't realise this was a nitro pour that needed serving in a pint glass to fully appreciate it.
Nevertheless I found this beer to be perfectly workable with subtle citrus notes and an ABV and taste that made this very sessionable.

They always try new stuff, along with beers people request to order in, so I always drop by once a month to see what they have.
A shame the DEYA was reduced as OOD, so not getting my hopes up for that being in great condition, but they keep all hop beers in a fridge so let’s see.

I do a physical job and my reward at the end of the day is a few beers. I rarely drink to get drunk so I'm not especially interested in kicking the habit. For some reason alcohol free beers really mess with my stomach but low alcohol options would likely scratch the itch and do the job. Any ideas? I do remember table beers taking off around 10 years ago but not sure if theyre still a thing.
Thanks in advance.

Best barley wines around right now? Want to stock up for the impending cold!

Fabulous porter here.
Had it it loads of time
Perfect balance of porter bitterness coupled with plum favours
Easy enough to throw 2 flavours together but getting the balance right is the real skill and this achieves it
Could be a contender for my GTA 6 launch night refreshments 🤔🌴

Picked this up at my local bottle shop.
With the nights drawing in, I’m slowly entering my dark beer era, but there’s still plenty of room for a good pilsner

The weather's gone cold and the dark nights (No not Batman) are rolling in, so that means only 1 thing... the new seasonal beers are here.
STF and Abbeydale are steadily moving up and becoming top of my favourite Brewery list, Black Iris and Brew York were just random basket adds and the German beers are always nice to have as fridge fillers.
Don't think these will last till the weekend.

If one is looking for something a little different it is worth trying the local Eastern European shops. Most of them have dozens of different beers which are unlikely to appear in a regular supermarket.
