The current Captain America storyline is about Doom in Hell (don't ask, or do but i cant elaborate too well), and in the most recent issue Doom successfully becomes the new ruler of Hell. His first act: all of Mephisto's prior deals have been nullified and reverted.

Either they need to write in a specific exclusion for why One More Day would be exempt from that, or Spider-Man comics will have to openly ignore a massive event happening, or it's actually happening. Based on previews and blurbs for upcoming Spider-Man issues, it actually happening seems truly on the table, though we don't know for sure.

So the backstory for Giygas’ creation was a core memory from Itoi’s childhood. He accidentally walked into the wrong movie theater booth when he was 5 years old and he walked into a viewing of the 1957 film “The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty”. During this scene a woman is getting murdered, but poor 5 year old Itoi mistook this scene as a rape scene. This would traumatize him greatly that his parents were concerned when they found him. So he used that experience of “atrocity and eroticism” to create Giygas and his dialog, with the traumatic memory itself being fuzzy at best when he was creating the final boss of Earthbound.

Comformity Gate, the theory that the end of Stranger Things didn't suck, they're just secretly working on an episode that'll fix everything and they're dropping massive hints in interviews and shit.

That theory always fascinated me because it implies that the Duffer Brothers are secret geniuses who can plan a massive conspiracy for a show.

And... they're not, they're really not.

The truth is that Stranger Things was never really that clever of a show, it was charming, and fun. But it was basically a popcorn flick in the shape of a TV Show.

That makes me think the people who made these theories are people in their early twenties who are so nostalgic for the show that they elevate it to this massive genius show, because it's easier to do that, than to accept that their childhood show ended poorly.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing, I elevate the original Last Airbender all the time. But it's very obvious Conformity Gate comes from a place of pure nostalgia.

The world of Cyberpunk TTRPG multi-media, particularly Night City, is a hypercapitalistic violent dystopia. How dystopian? Well, look no further than to Trauma Team. Just by the surface, they are an armed, militarized paramedic in the future. You fall ill or injured in any way, TT will swoop in from their hovercraft and surround you like they're Seal Team 6, protecting you from the gang shootings going around the city. That is if you can afford their service. If you're dying on the spot and don't got coverage, you're literally not worth it. They're not evil, it's just business.

Was shown this Mario, that reminds us Mushrooms have some points against humans sadly. Can also be funny cases.

So I have recently gone through HxH for the first time, and I found this little moment quite funny. It's some jobber talking about how he has read the Wiki for the Phantom Troupe, and it's quite silly.

It did however make me think about Wikis place in fiction. If you are writing any setting that is vaguely modern even if it fantastical, then wikis should exist. It is however kind of rare for anyone in fiction to actually just check a Wiki, and at most just goes to Wikipedia which is also rare to have.

Even if your setting is about dragons that make combs or something, then if you wanted to learn about those dragons that make combs you would probably check the wiki first right? It would be unrealistic for a character to not look something up the first time they hear it?

Me and a friend of mine always joke about how I vividly remember my first two videos I watched and how she always found it weird that I can even remember them even though it was a very formative memory.

For me it was a death anmation video of the first saw game back in the day and it was followed by TwoBestFriends' shitstorm video of Saw 2. I think something about those two videos influenced my love for horror media and sense of humor.

It's just really interesting how much the experience of playing through the series has changed over time. This is from before the Kiwanis games, before Yakuza 0 and so because pat played og 1 with the dub he's like still not entirely sure what anybodys names are. Watched the episode 0 and he's getting kiriyus name wrong.

It's the half remembered garble of someone who's never really had anyone to talk to about the games, there wasn't really the same fandom around then and instead of having binged them back to back, pat organically played the games as they released years apart from eachother, he's booting up a Yakuza 4 play through with the context of Yakuza 1 being a game he played close to 10 years ago with a bad dub that changed the names of a bunch of characters. And so he's just like wrong about a lot of stuff in a way someone who's played these games years apart with nobody to talk about them too often are.

It's a time capsule of like what it was like to be a Yakuza fan before anyone really knew what that was or cared.

So I like Warhammer. Though my favorite of the settings is Age of Sigmar. Since the start of the year a lot of credible leakers have been revealing that the next edition is going to become a huge soft reboot where the current setting is going to be completely changed to make it more like the original Fantasy world. Such as destroying all of the realms the setting takes place on and stitching them together into one planet, the Stormcast Eternals losing their defining ability to respawn after dying, the main human factions that were a lot more accepting and diverse with dwarfs and elves going back to becoming extremely religious and hateful towards other races like in 40k, the gods the setting has been centered around going into hiding, and killing off a lot of characters. And recently some leaked screenshots of the new core book seem to corroborate that fact.

A lot of AoS fans are not happy with what has been rumored and if your someone like me who likes the lore and discussing about it there’s now always this big elephant in the room. Which stings because while it’s never reached the mainstream of 40k it’s still is the second biggest war game setting and still makes a lot of money for the company. Of course it’s not new to the franchise with the original setting getting completely screwed over with a rushed conclusion to reboot it. And most likely it won’t be as doom and gloom many put it out as being since it’s a soft reboot and not a complete cancellation.

I’m curious what other times you’ve experienced were a franchise, setting, etc., that you enjoy has this big change you can see running at you from a distance knowing that it’s going to hurt your enjoyment of it.

Apologies if this may be the wrong time to be discussing such a topic because I was just looking for an opportunity to gush about my favorite handheld system as I was also hoping to encourage others to share their experience on the system.

Mine is modded as it can run anything such as Original DS titles as I know the system ended such a long time ago, but I get so much enjoyment from using my handheld for games like Fire Emblem and Soul Hackers that I wish such games were made more accessible on modern systems such as the Switch or PC. It's not a bad game by any measure, I quite like a lot of it, but something about it just makes me feel tired?

I don't know why, I like difficult games, this has never been an issue for me.

Maybe I'm just old? And fast-paced difficulty just sort of doesn't work as well as it used to? I don't know.
