Is the Phillips s5000 rotary shaver any good?
Im thinking of upgrading from my oneblade to a rotary shaver. Is the series 5000 a good option or i should get the 3000?

Hi, im searching a reliable groomer/shaver for below the arms and the intimate area, what do you recommend and is it generally cheaper to order online or in the shop?
Alright so I’ve had a Van Der Hagen single-blade razor for a couple of years now. Recently the screw to open it seized. Im not going to go through the hassle to fix. I’ve been using the razors my wife buys (bic 2/3 blade, idk I just pay for damn things). I’d rather use 80-grit sandpaper or my pocket knife. Looks like I used a lawnmower with a dull blade….
I’m looking for Input or recommendations. I’m looking for a nice, buttery-smooth shave like that of a single blade. I really don’t want an electric one unless I can get a good shave and not worry about snagging shit. If it is electric it needs to be shower-friendly. Less moving parts the better.

I have used electric razors for my entire shaving career and have never been able to get a consistently clean shave. I know it’s likely because I am using electric razors, so I wanted to ask if anyone has suggestions for a razor I should switch to or try out?

Hey legends,
I'm not balding and have thick hair.
I have tried the Philips head shaver 9000, it wasn't powerful enough, it took longer to shave my head (wet or dry) than my braun series 9 pro+
What's the Pitbull range like?
Or should I skip all these and go straight to a rotary foil shaver like the barbers use?
Thanks!!

I got the: Panasonic ARC5, and it doesn't do anything. I tried running it along everything, my face, legs, arms, etc, and it literally doesn't shave my hair. I run it over my hair, and my hair is still there, attached to my skin. I am extremely confused because this shaver was a lot of money and it seems to work for everyone else. can someone guide me to what is going wrong?

Hello, does anyone know any alternatives for Gillette Blue 3 plus? I have tried Mach 3 and it irritates my skin and has weird sticky lub strip that makes it impossible to get comfortable and close shave I still have lot of stubble left after WTG and ATG pass. The Blue 3 is much better but it has cheap feel comapared to mach 3. I heard there is Sensor 3, Sensor Excel, Skinguard but want to know others opinions before buying them. I have tried DE razors but no matter what I do my skin is really irritated and I get lot of razor bumps after. The problem is I have very soft skin that has very dark and hard stubble so even going multiple times ATG does nothing with safety razor. I tried different blades etc but nothing helps only Blue 3 was pretty close and no irritation.

hello! for my fellow low impact, eco friendly, non toxic or just wanting a nice new razor girls (and guys!) I'm posting this because i bought the really expensive but only real double bladed safety razor that resembles a woman's razor and is suitable for body shaving, and do i regret it? no!
I was sick of razor bumps, spots on my legs, unclean shaves and itchy skin so i bought this razor to see if it would give me relief and by the way, i have used a LOT of razors, mens, womens, estrid, harrys, disposable, super cheap and super expensive and I'm a dark haired and thick haired girl so there was a lot of maintenance going on, and i got folliculitis.. a lot.
So my routine is: warm up in the shower thick lather with a low ingredient natural and fragrance free soap, shave and moisturise with organic castor (bit thick and sits on the skin but it's all i can afford and it works)
Anyway since I've used the leaf razor I have never nicked and bled around my intimates which NEVER happens especially on the against the grain way, also cleanest intimates shave ive had in a while with no itchyness!!! shaving my legs was alright but only ick was the leaf blade can be a bit tuggy (weirdly was the only place it tugged but this could be because i was going against the grain) this is a common issue though and when i change the blade itll get better. Armpits shocked me, best shave ive ever had and!! i use fussy deodorant so i do get stinky in evenings and today i worked out twice.. no stink or itch??? not even a smell of my deodorant anymore just nothing, it seems to not have the nasty bacteria that aloe strips and other blades hold!! (which gives stinky armpits) and i woke up and they still didn't smell.
generally a pretty clean shave especially in privates and armpits and arms but did a very average job on my legs weirdly but this could be because its my first go on the legs and I started there. anyway! thought an informative post was needed about this razor because i know its a big purchase but imo it was worth it. heard their customer service is also amazing! so excited to continue with this razor.

I can’t scroll through my feed anymore without hitting dozens of ads for this “FreeBird” shaver.
Unless the Reddit algos are somehow targeting just me, I’m guessing you’ve probably seen them too.
Has anyone actually tried that thing? If so, what did you think of it’s performance?

I left this braun foil shaver outside in my carport in the elements for YEARS and it got all the sun, the rain, the grass clippings, and it eventually found its way out of the carport and into the mud next to my gate before I FINALLY cleaned my carport.
Today I picked it up and put it onto my MUCH newer braun's charger and the damn thing turned on! I washed the crap out of it to clean it and threw on the newer braun's head and it still managed to shave my whole face before bed!
What?
Wish I could share a picture of this thing because it's still in pretty good shape after I cleaned it.

I (f) feel like I’m not shaving properly. For some reason whenever I shave I get razor bumps or cut my legs. I’ve seen people use body brushes or gloves beforehand and oil after, but I’m not too sure what move is the best. Any tips?

I bought a five bladed eletric razor off amazon. It irritated both of my armpits.
How do I keep that from happening?
Possible user error as this is my first time using any kind of eletric shaver but it didnt cause any irritation on my legs. If I cant fix the problem then I'll be returning the razor 🤷♀️

I’ve specifically been using a Phillips series 4000 rotary razor for about three years now, I’ve had it since I was 16. As I’ve gotten older, my facial hair grows more rapidly, daily, and it’s taking a toll on my skin. I’m getting awful razor burns on my neck and face, and it’s not even cutting that close without me pressing it into the skin. I’ve even started using shaving cream, aftershave, it’s still not helping. I tried using a safety razor, but it didn’t shave really close, and left me with bad burns too.
What do I do? What am I missing? Do I need a new razor, and if so which one? Anything helps.

Heeei! Im a 27 years old bald male and love being bald. But start noticing that after shaving my scalp is getting quite red. Do people have some recommendations to avoid this?
r/shaving • u/unranked_casual • 3d ago
I’m a 27-year-old male who has mostly only used trimmers. I have two face trimmers right now- both manscaped. One is the lawn mower 5.0 and the other is the beard hedger. I use the beard hedger to line up and trim the beard/moustache to the right size, and then the lawn mower’s ultra skin safe to get as close to skin as possible(like shave).
I’ve been wondering if I should try and switch to a razor for a better shave experience in terms of getting closer to the skin? Also better line up?
If yes, what razor would you recommend that is easy to start with? I’ve used one before, but not very comfortable with it.
If no, what are the best trimmers out there that can get truly close to skin?
Same as the title . Thought of Philips Hybrid 2x but it doesn't say body

Hey Reddit, I’m gonna post this on a couple different threads. Any advice is appreciated.
I’m a 22F, and I grew up in a catholic Hispanic household. Both of my parents are great however my mom never taught me how to shave and when I became an adult, she was shocked to find out that I shave my vagina when I was younger like a teenager I used to shave it completely bald and that’s how I liked it but now I really like rocking a little bit of fuzz. I just wanna keep it trimmed, but I have no idea how I’m supposed to do that and no one to go to for advice about grooming it.
I don’t wanna keep shaving it bald but I also don’t wanna have it super long. I just wanna keep it like a modest length and kind of trimmed up on the sides so what I’ve been doing recently itis just letting it grow and shaving it with a manscaped trimmer thing with a guard, but that doesn’t really help me with my lips because that’s kind of scary so then I typically just end up shaving everything down or having my lips have a little more hair. Genuinely how are people doing this without shaving it completely bald?
Anyways, I have no one to go to for advice about this. So Redditers, how do you shave your pubes..?

Hey guys I’m chasing a good quality body shaver for chest and back hair. I read somewhere that foil shavers were better for this. Does anyone recommend a half decent shaver that won’t break the bank. Something that can be used every couple days hopefully with out irritation. Preferably available in Australia.

I just purchased the one blade and I’m experiencing it for the first time. I’m using it mostly to trim, razor stubble and clean up my face where it needs to be. I noticed the areas that I shave with the one blade. My skin is sensitive afterwards it hurts. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to stop that irritation before it happens?
