Hi everyone,
The time has come for me to finally share the fruit of 2 years of work - a full, screenplay-format version of the final story I wanted to see from SAW, the culmination of decades of fandom for me. Today, I'd like to share with you where I landed with it.
When Saw X released, I felt overjoyed. It was the first Saw film in many years that truly connected with me on a deeper level, that reminded me of why I loved Saw in the first place. For years prior to that, I had long asked myself what kind of story I'd like to see from Saw. A lot of ideas were swirling around in my head. Incredibly, some of those very elements were present to a damn near eerie level in Saw X itself.
After Saw X released, I personally felt extremely satisfied, like I had seen almost everything I ever needed to see from Saw. But the keyword was almost- there were still some things I wanted to see. But I wasn't sure those things were ever possibly going to make it to screen, so I decided to write it myself. A version of a Saw story that was meant to exist almost purely as a therapeutic thing, for me! But then Saw XI itself got in trouble, and ended up cancelled. So I began to think- what if I share my story with the community as a way to cope with what's missing? As a way to fill the collective hole in our Saw fan hearts? Let me be clear - this is in no way meant to REPLACE the Saw XI we lost. I think I speak for everyone here when I say we all want to see it. I certainly do. But until that time comes, I hope this humble story will help fill that void for those of you who would like to read it.
A few goals I had in mind with that story, whether or not I achieved them will be up to you to decide!
I'm not expecting much readership, especially with how long it is. Note I've included suggested stopping points for people who will understandably want to read it in multiple chunks over a long period of time, look for the hacksaw icons!
A small plea before I stop yapping: Please cover your spoilers! This story contains many, many surprises that I'd like to preserve for as many of you as possible. Spoilers are completely fair game in this thread, I want to know your complete and unfiltered thoughts and really look forward to discussing the story with you, but please cover sensitive spoilers! I would really appreciate it.
I want to thank everyone who's helped me over this long journey. So many of you in this community have cheered me along, and a few of you (you know who you are) amazingly took much time to read work in progress versions of this and provided EXCEEDINGLY useful feedback that allowed me to polish this story and make it much (much) better. That includes the amazing Saw Soundtracks, who's been hard at work composing an actual SCORE for this story that we'll share at a later date (enjoy the snippets of it in this, linked via the PLAY ME tapes embedded in the script). He's doing amazing work, and we can't wait to share the full accompanying score.
And lastly, I want to thank each and every single one of you. So often I find myself thankful for having found this passionate, dedicated, wonderful community that I've spent so much time with over the past few decades. Without you, none of this would have been possible. I'm incredibly grateful to those of you who will want to spend the time to absorb this story, and I truly cannot WAIT to read your thoughts, even from those of you who only make it partially into the story, or simply don't like it at all! By the way - if you want to share your in-progress thoughts as you go through it, I'm absolutely all ears! Those are an absolute treat for me :)
Without further ado, here is is: SAW XI - A Fan Finale
NEXT WEEK, on Halloween night at 9 PM, I will post a short, special treat. Think of it as a post-credits scene for this script. :)
Thank you again <3

My 15yr old daughter spent the weekend constructing this completely from scratch for her halloween costume! Pretty cool … made mainly from cardboard with a few other random bits n pieces…pretty clever i think! Really solid too 👌

Saw 7 has an author who lied about surviving Jigsaw. Books take over a year to write and produce. Jigsaw was still alive and “young” (the backwards cap) whenever he met the author who had written the popular book.
So the book was released way before Saw 1. So why is it relevant again all these movies later? Why not set him up in a trap way before if Jigsaw was active that long?
So Jigsaw was doing this years before part 1? So long that someone had time to write a book about it and John still healthy got to meet them?

I made a saw trap that’s still in the works, any suggestions to make it better would be appreciated.
Before I start I want to add a trigger warning mentioning CSA, including in a religious setting and mods please delete if not allowed
The trap is called the sacrificial lamb trap.
This trap will be for people who sexually abuse children in the church.
A priest must stand up on a podium into a microphone and say the names of all the children he’s hurt throughout his time in the church.
His friend who helped him cover up the abuse will have a pear of anguish inside of him and it will open up slowly.
For those who don’t know, the pear of anguish is a medieval torture device that’s inserted into the anus and stretches further than an anus should go. If stretched far enough the victim will die from blood loss, internal trauma or infection.
The priest can’t say he never abused anyone, use the bible to justify his actions or if he forgets one name the pear of anguish would open up faster.
If he’s successful, he and his friend (if he survives) can leave, if he fails, his friend will die and the priest will be locked in the church forever.
The recording begins:
“Hello father, I want to play a game. On this very podium you preached love and forgiveness. But you ignored the cries of children who looked up to you for guidance and used them for your own sick pleasure.
You confessed your sins to a god who you claimed has forgiven you. However you never confessed to the heinous acts you committed to the innocent.
Tonight, father. You will learn to survive in the house of god just like your victims. God cannot forgive you this time, good luck”.
So I wanna know what your ideas of a saw trap are, I’m curious
anyone have info on this signature? found this in a thrift store

Just rewatched Saw X tonight for the first time in forever and I gotta say she got done the worst off the fact she played the game and won fair and square and John didn’t take Cecilia being a psycho into account and killing her so idk that one still annoys me.
Catching Cecilia was a very high risk play, if she listened to her boyfriend in those last seconds about who the other end of the table was for then MAYBE she would’ve pieced it together. I’m part of the bunch that believes she got off wayyy too easy, she gets to live. Possibly leave the country and work an honest life after deceiving 34 patients into death and killing Gabriella & Parker? They only took some of the money she just got. She amassed millions by lying right? I mean she could sell her house and cars and be back up again to live a sheltered comfortable life.
What do you guys think?

...there are FOUR POSSIBLE MAIN CONFIGURATIONS of ending (though this is ignoring the other test subjects, so just the climax/final trials)
A. Worst scenario. CANON ONE. Amanda shoots Lynn. Jeff shoots Amanda, and Amanda fails her test. Jeff chooses not to forgive John, kills him, and John reveals in his tape that he never finds his daughter.
B. Amanda LETS LYNN GO (ignoring the letter blackmail). Amanda passes her test. Jeff chooses NOT TO FORGIVE John anyways, kills him, and John reveals in his tape that he never finds his daughter. But hey, at least Jeff's with his wife. GOOD LUCK FINDING YOUR DAUGHTER, DENLON HOUSEHOLD. Oh, with John dead, Amanda will definitely go rogue.
C. Amanda SHOOTS LYNN. Jeff shoots Amanda, and Amanda fails her test. But this time, Jeff chooses to FORGIVE JOHN, and he reveals where his daughter's location is. Lynn either bleeds out/dies from her wounds. But silver lining, Jeff gets her daughter back.
D. Best case scenario. GOOD ENDING of John's game. Hypothetical IF everyone had kept collected. Amanda LETS LYNN GO. Amanda passes her test. Jeff chooses to FORGIVE JOHN, and he reveals where his daughter's location is. Jeff and Lynn seek their daughter. Family reunion. John and Amanda seek out to escape for another day, John's recent brain operation from Lynn, buys him SOME MORE time to say his final goodbyes, and leave Amanda as his stable passed-her-trials successor.
Again, this isn't even factoring the other test subjects LOL. Jeff could've chosen the 'forgive John' and Amanda picks the 'spares Lynn' option, BUT SAMF Jeff still failed to save the lady from the locker room, judge at the pig vat, and the guy from the Rack. HAHAHAHAHA
OR there's a version where he saved all three, but still got the worst ending cause Lynn dies, Amanda dies, John dies, and Jeff's daughter's location is taken to John's grave. And Jeff is now in a random factory room with a naked lady, a gut-covered judge, and a guy with some twisted limbs.
LOL. NOT TO MENTION THE EXACT CIRCUMSTANCES. Maybe Jeff shots Amanda non-fatally. Or Lynn's collar DETONATES EARLY, the final 'test' never comes to fruition, Jeff enters the final level with his wife's mangled corpse, a dead flatlined patient, and a frantic panicking lady.
Okay, I want a SAW III: CHOOSE YOUR FATE (like the Final Destination 3 DVD feature where you pick who lives/dies).

I swear when Hoffman was in the glass coffin, he waved at Strahm. Me and a friend were watching the series a few days ago and it’s still bugging me that he doesn’t. Am I the only one that remembers it?

A passion project I have been working on. It’s like an audiobook with a narrator, voiceover, and SFX. Please give it a listen on YouTube on Halloween night. Because if it’s Halloween, it must be Saw…
