Just really a hypothetical. Let's ignore the logistics of the devs having to rebalance every kill move around being more explosive and the combo game becoming stronger and more Melee-like to help it.

Do you think you'd want a Rivals of Aether 2 like that to be played at 4 stocks instead of 3?

This train of thought was inspired both from watching Melee recently but also some Rivals 1, where the kill power did just feel higher than Rivals 2's kill power.

I have no clue if anything as been stated about this anywhere but I LOVE those retrol land icons and was wondering if the newer characters were to be included later.

I am a Galvan/Oly main (like Sandstorm but bad) and can have neither of them :(

Have all versions of Luigi been designed to deliberately fall out of all multi hits? To anti-anti-air your anti-air with the same nair they were doing regardless? To do nothing but full stage wavedash back and forth fly by spam? To have seemingly all moves be + on shield and also combo into up B? To systematically accidentally low profile under 85% of moves in the game? Am I a ghost or something?

I REALLY hope this isn't the start of slop in roa...

Ever since I installed all the workshop stuff, which I've since uninstalled for this, the game never seems to close properly. Steam will always show it as running, despite it being closed. Trying to reopen it unsurprisingly gives me the "game already running" message.

Only fix I've found thus far is force exiting steam and reopening the game.

Anyone have any recommendations? I really want to play but its so hard knowing this can just happen and there's nothing I can do about it

Just as the title says im interested in playing roa2. I've only ever played traditional fighters and wanted to play a platform fighter for once. And with smash ultimate coming into its final years (as smash 6 is inevitable) I wanted something with more long-term. So I came here. I've only watched a few videos covering the very basics of the game and I'm interested. What I want is to be completely sold on playing this game. What's so good about it? Why should I play it instead of smash ultimate? What's the community like? What are some beginner character recommendations? (Particularly interested in kragg) and anything else I should know.

My username in the ranked leaderboard isn't my actual steam name, but just steam_stringofnumbers. wondering if this is a common issue, and how to fix it?

I've been hovering around 1000 for a bit now. my biggest challenge is long range defensive players (fleet, lox, and especially claren) I can play vs these characters until then hunker down and start spacing me out with long normals.

Ik it's a skill issue but what skill is most important in these mu, should a be more aggressive or slow it down aswell.

Hoping this is an easy answer, how do you change the character on a cpu character without a mouse? If I use a mouse, I can click the cursor on their character and it will let me change, but if I don't have a mouse I can't seem to figure out a way to do it.

In fact I'm pretty sure I remember not being able to select one at all without using my mouse and clicking the cpu icon on the active character box. I am not at home right now but does anyone else know why I might be having trouble figuring this out and/or explain how you would do so with just your controller?

If i accidently click on something with my mouse, i can no longer use my xbox controller in lobbies.

After playing the fun port of RoA1 Mollo to the RoA2 workshop I can’t stop. Never played RoA1, so I’ve never played with Mollo. But he is so much fun. Still rooting for Elliana to end a certain reditor’s snake-fact suffering, but after that I really want Mollo as a returning rival.
