Accepting submissions for new mods

I started this subreddit many years ago when I was a student. Fell off of reddit for a few years and somewhat recently returned.

I haven't been a student at RCC in years and am opening submissions to current RCC students or RCC alumni who are still active at the campus.

You'll need to send proof of current enrollment or if you're an interested alumni I'll need proof that you're still active in some way at any of the campuses.

I'm hoping to find people who are invested in reviving this sub.

CNA program compliant complio, flu shot is not a green check mark

Post image
1 Upvotes

i applied for the CNA program and the bootcamp says it must be all green check marks on my complio.

my complio status is fully compliant but for some reason the flu shot is the black dot thing instead of a green check mark because its an optional category (i submitted a declination, its still approved). has this happened to anyone else?

THEATER OVER WINTER? (which prof)

im taking this class as a prereq and I have 0 interest for it. I just wanna take all the classes I need and grind through my major ones.

I got a tight schedule so Ive been stacking some stuff around. So I basically need a “give-away” type of prof and class that basically makes the class easy and stress free with little to no work.

Im taking Anatomy over winter. 4 days a week, 8-3PM. Im thinking of stacking Theater too because its the only place it can still fit.

Im confident that I can ace my Anatomy but I really want to take down some prereqs outta the way.

Which Theater prof do you recommend and how easy is their Online Winter class?

RCC ADN TEAS

I rushed through my first two sections of the teas. I had scheduled the exam on a Saturday at 8 am. Not knowing it was for 8 AM CST (meaning it would be 6 AM PST) By the time I logged in. It was 7:40 and rushed through the first two sections, thinking I lost an hour 40 mins. And would not have time to complete the rest.

Point is I was in extreme distress, crying, and rushed through it. I scored 76.4%. I don’t know how many points I have built up. For my pre reqs I have B’s in BIO 50 A & B and BIO 55. With an A in Psyc 9

What are my chances of getting accepted into RCC…??

is rate my professor accurate for chem 1a?

im planning to take chem 1a in the winter and the only options are Dahl or richardson. one has a 2.8 but there are multiple mixed ratings which I feel better about since it seems real compared to the other who has like 20 but they're all 5 stars and they all start with the same sentence so it makes me feel like they're fake reviews 😭 has anyone taken them for chem if so which one do you recommend

Anyone else feeling so nervous. They told me I had a good shot of getting in as long as the applicant points were like last semester which they could honestly be higher or lower I obviously don’t know but I’m so anxious. I know CEP was emailed already but the anticipation stress is getting to me 😭

2 months rent free!! URGENT

Hey! I’m looking for someone to sign with the ucr campus apartments and take over my lease as I am in need of a replacement resident. If you are transferring from RCC, you can still move in even if you are transferring late. You can live at any place signed with ucr campus apartments and I will cover 2 months of rent. I cancelled my lease for Glen mor but you not have to live there. Even if you wanted to move to any of the campus apartments on school you could also let me know. Falkirk is the cheapest place like around 800 so just let me know. I’m urgently in need of replacement resident. As stated I will cover for 2 months due to contract

BIO 55 MICRO Teachers

I had my schedule perfectly laid out. chem 2B with Bernier at MVC and Christi Scott Tuesday and Thursday. Bernier was first schedule at Hybrid and Thursday lab. About 1 week ago they changed it. Now he's all in person.

What Micro teachers are the best? I really really want to take Bernier for chem 2b so i'm willing to change teachers if they're good and work with my schedule.

should i take a professor if “rate my professor” rating is 2.2/5, but friend says its really easy?

i need to take chem and while searching for professors, i see really good ones according to rate my professor.

my friend is currently taking chem with a professor that has a 2.2/5 rating on the website, but she told me she gives no homework, 30 questions on exams, and a 4/10 hard rating.

my friend showed me the type of practice work they do in class and its like middle school type of work sheets.

i checked out the 17 “awful” reviews and theyre all from 2025. im thinking maybe the professor just had a bad year😭

people have told me some professors look at their ratings on the website and tweaks their class a little to make a it easier bc of all the shitty reviews, im thinking maybe this could be one of those cases.

should i take the professor or a different one with wayy better ratings?

Galusky or Joseph for BIO 50B?

Torn between these two because they both have amazing reviews and recommendation from my friends.

Joseph is T/Th 8-1pm
Galusky is M/W 5-9pm

If I take Galusky I wont be able to take Chem with Bobbie and I heard good word from that prof too.

V HANSON FOR ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY I?

Has anybody taken V Hanson for Anatomy and Physiology I? I'll be taking it over winter so I really want a professor who is helpful and lenient. I'd hate to end up with strict professors who barely teach and don't give out study guides.

Rcc adn program teas score

Hey everyone I applied for the rcc adn program. I took my teas at rcc in 2023 and submitted my official score with them in 2023. Now I know when u apply with them it says u have to send ur official teas score. Which I didn’t this time around when I applied cuz I assumed they had it since I sent it to them officially in 2023 and they paid for it also. Now I’m freaking out my application is guna get denied. Anyone else apply multiple times for the adn program and do u have to send ur teas score everytime? Or is it saved underneath ur school Id number?? Thanks!!

FASFA / Need help / Advice

Hello, I currently reside in ND2 and as far as I’ve been told my fasfa is going straight to housing. However my roommate who also lives with me, speaks about how they are getting checks and money from fasfa. I am so confused? How come they’re still getting money from fasfa, while I’m not? Is there anything I’m missing? I’d love some advice on this, or on if I can set up an appointment with someone who can help me because I’m just very confused how they are getting fasfa while I am not.
